He never ditched Ganon for a top tier because he just loves playing Ganon, and wasn't afraid to lose stocks to make hype plays. Even if he was never winning majors or anything, he's still easily one of my favourite Melee players and always will be. Warlock Punch those cases to oblivion, Bizz.

Armada is an actual fox god, so beating him with ganon is pretty much a character achievement that will never be topped. In the matchup you either have to have perfect reads or hope your opponent messes up. Armada ain't exactly the messin' up type.

Bizzarro Flame is a huge inspiration. He is the reason why I main Ganon, watching him win against Fox, Marth, and Falco mains has always inspired me to do the same. I even try my hardest to play like him (unnecessary edge guarding), he knew what it meant to play the game for the fun of it.
I had the chance of meeting bizz at paragon la last year, he was a very nice person and combine that with his playstyle and his smash personality he's definitely one of my favorite smash players

+RagnellAlondite It's not because it's 20xx. It's something called the "stock glitch" and can be done on a vanilla version of melee. It's pretty easy to do, but it is purely cosmetic since it just changes the stock icon to one character while allowing you to play as another.

***** I've played against good fox/falcos casually IRL and on netplay. It's doable :/ I wouldn't really compare it to the OPM battle you mentioned. I personally think that's a very bad comparison lol I've seen high level foxes and falcos get crushed by very good ganons, marths and other lower tier characters. Sometimes I think people rely too much on the character itself to give reason as to why they should win consistently when really it's still possible to win. I just think it's silly to bend over our asses for spacies when they can be destroyed like any other character lol I main Ganon and people don't really take him seriously unless you have the skill to back it up. I recently took upon a liking to Marth have been trying him out

+RagnellAlondite It's not because it's 20xx. It's something called the "stock glitch" and can be done on a vanilla version of melee. It's pretty easy to do, but it is purely cosmetic since it just changes the stock icon to one character while allowing you to play as another.

+dim benes true but ganon isnt in the same doldrums as pichu. you can win with him. if you can utilize his early killing ability its pretty much game over.
+dim benes Difference being you get punished to death easily since all those characters are lunch if they lack the techs and skills necessary to survive. It looks easier, that's all. Actually executing those 100 percent of the time is a different story man.
***** I've played against good fox/falcos casually IRL and on netplay. It's doable :/ I wouldn't really compare it to the OPM battle you mentioned.
I personally think that's a very bad comparison lol I've seen high level foxes and falcos get crushed by very good ganons, marths and other lower tier characters.
Sometimes I think people rely too much on the character itself to give reason as to why they should win consistently when really it's still possible to win.
I just think it's silly to bend over our asses for spacies when they can be destroyed like any other character lol
I main Ganon and people don't really take him seriously unless you have the skill to back it up. I recently took upon a liking to Marth have been trying him out
