this might be because i’m not a native japanese speaker whatsoever, but Luffy’s English VA sounds so much happier in gear 5 compared to his japanese VA. no hate to his japanese voice actor, but the english one just sounds so much happier and giddy at the fact, compared to how his japanese actor doesn’t change the voice much. (in my opinion)
