Why couldn’t they have this guy play Jafar in the Live Action Aladdin? He’s got the same power mad charisma and elegance of the original and he can portray complex dramatic emotions to add more to the original character
@@llarmstrong783 His father had a debt with pirates and worked out that debt by selling them hook when he was a small child, hook grew up working on that ship knowing he was too abandoned.
@@cocohaven But Hook's father did it also because circumstances forced him. he was evil doing it, but as you said, he did it to pay off a debt, not to get rid of them out of sheer evil of heart. I agree, this Jafar was intimidating, complex and entertaining. Whereas the Jafar in the live action remake was pathetic(it didn’t seem like the actor was even trying).

He did not do it just for this. He did it because his father did not just try to kill him. But he left it at the mercy of a cruel and heartless world, and the only one who showed kindness towards Jafar taught him not to have moral inhibitions in taking what he wanted.
No, Jafar is doing this for two main reasons: power and revenge. His past forged him with the notion that he had been wronged, not just by the parental figure that he so loved in in his youth, but by the rest of the world. Almost everyone appeared to despise him: his father who cast him out and attempted to kill him as a child; his half-brother Mirza who both verbally and physically abused him, and although Jafar was clearly in the right and was clearly stronger than Mirza, he could not raise a hand against him as Mirza was a prince and their own father the sultan had relegated Jafar to the position of mere serving boy; the cruel blacksmith who abused him when a young Jafar worked for him after surviving being drowned by his father; the barman who insulted him; the countless people across Agrabah's capital city who loathe Jafar, they spit his name and call him 'bastard'; etc. This notion that Jafar had been wronged by everyone led him to strongly believe that the world owed him something, and he sought to do everything in his power to take it. He decided that if the world wouldn't give him what he wanted - love and ultimate power - then he'd take it for himself and exact his vengeance by conquering the universe. To this end, the evil sorcerer set his sights on obtaining three genies and their bottles as well as the magic of two powerful sorcerers in order to cast The Spell of the Three Genies, the ultimate magical spell that would make him the most powerful sorcerer (magic-user) in all the worlds, so powerful that he would be able to break the laws and rules of magic and be capable of feats that even the most powerful magics are unable to accomplish (e.g. bringing back the dead, making people fall in love, changing the past, etc.) Jafar was intent on using this power to obtain everything he ever wanted, and he would start by finally exacting his revenge on his father by forcing him to love him and then killing him like he tried to do to Jafar. Following on from this, Jafar would set about conquering every world in existence, annihilating all of his enemies along the way. So it wasn't just his father that Jafar sought to bring under his heel, but the rest of the universe.
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain Yes, it's true. But remember, however, that it was Amara who taught Jafar not to have moral inhibitions in taking what he wanted.

Jafar's father is the guy that plays Raj's father in Big Bang Theory.
Dude, if you hadn't tried to kill him, maybe he wouldn't have become evil!
That is what I keep saying. If only the Sultan gave Jafar the love he wanted he would never have became evil

This Jafar is the guy we deserved in the live action remake not the pathetically not intimidating soft voiced Jafar
