We love that dollhouse. I was so amazed at all the possible configurations. I ended up just buying it second hand because the rest of the kit didn’t really seem like things my son would like.
Awe I'm happy you liked it! The books really are great. My husband was out of town for a few days after I recorded this and my daughter was having a very hard time, and she went and reached for all the books in this play kit and was "reading" them to herself to work through her emotions. So they clearly have a bigger impact than I even realized while recording!
Yeah, there are also boards for just the moon out there too; the statement was more in reference to competitors having it on the board already, meaning it wouldn't be my top pick when choosing between all the weather boards. I have a buying guide on my blog for just weather boards after i did this review haha
Hi, woman here with a daughter 🙋🏽♀️ and no knowledge of how the moon affects us. Would you happen to have any tips or videos to learn more. Also wondering if you have any videos with ideas to teach kitties what to when feeling certain things (wiggle or shake). Thank you so much!!
Hi! So I learned most of what I know about the moon and our bodies from difference shamans and shamanic practitioners during my studies! I *maybe* cover it in some past podcast episodes uploaded to this channel from yearsss ago before kids. BUT from a quick google search (i havent read these fully) there have been studies finally confirming the ancient wisdom I ancestors knew: www.the-scientist.com/news-opinion/menstrual-cycles-intermittently-sync-with-moon-cycles-study-68429 pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3716780/ www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.abe1358 There's also an app, Stardust, that tracks your cycle with the moon and lots of theories about if you cycle with the full moon vs the new moon and what that means about the stage of your life and your work - so I'd also suggest googling some variations of that! And then to answer your last question, I don't. I do have some videos on tantrums vs meltdowns and a longgg video teaching you how to play with your child to process emotions; but I find what youre asking kids naturally do. I know when my kids are having a tough time it's lots of backbends and jumping. Generally anything to open the midline (hanging, backbends, headstands) and shaking (whether that's literal shaking we see when crying, wiggling, a knee going, or jumping) all release the body and kids already intuitively know how to do this as long as we don't teach them to limit their bodies (e.g. old school parenting saying "sit still and (fill in the blank)" would stop their intuitive emotional release process when feeling sad/anxious/etc.) The best teaching is just supporting them and giving them space! Hope that helps!
Hi! Love your videos. Extremely helpful. Have been buying toys based on your recommendations. Do you have any recommendations on dollhouse furniture? We only have Lovevery playhouse. It's pretty small so not a lot of furniture could fit in. Was wondering if you could recommend something. Thank you!
Hi! So that definitely depends on *what* you're looking for For the Lovevery dollhouse, my kids always just use a mix of dollar tree dollhouse furniture, or cut their own stuff out of felt. For our main dollhouse we had a set that's no longer sold, but my friend has had this one for a few years now (we got our at the same time ~4 years ago and I *almost* got this one but there were no reviews back then): bit.ly/3GWbpvN which I like for the Lovevery one, because its pretty small and would fit - though it's too many pieces/rooms for Lovevery's, but you could always keep spare pieces in a container nearby to give them options. And then if you want guaranteed nontoxic/clean your best bets are always Le Toy Van or Tender Leaf bit.ly/3voXOu8 which do room by room options but will definitely be the priciest route
Ohh i didn't know they had a Darla ones!! I did get one of the what should danny do books actually and but plan on waiting a few more months before giving it to her. Thank you for the tip!!!
Yes!! There are apps that let you track it with the moon cycle too. Even doulas joke that the 3 days after a full moon it "rains babies" haha it's all VERY tied as the yin-yang energy mirror the two cycles. Do you guys do anything for the days of the week or weather?
@@nicolepilgrim3142 My doula would always say full moons always make the baby's come! Usually it's the few days after the full moon though (both of mine haha), an ACTUAL full moon baby is super special!!

Thanks for the awesome review, our little one is still one kit behind you and it is fun to see what is in store for us.

We've used the 'find out about feelings' lift the flap book. Pros and cons about it, but it has helped us!
What if you DIY your own moon phase cards and laminate them? 🤔

I would love to hear more about how we should eat according to the moon phase!!!
www.theconfusedmillennial.com/eat-work-out-each-phase-menstrual-cycle/ there’s a book and apps out there too that go more in depth!

Thank you so much for your response! Very appreciate it! And again thank you for your videos. You save me tons of time on toys research.
Awe of course, thank you for the kind words and support!!@@tanyaosipova645
My 4 year old really enjoys What Should Darla Do. It’s like a choose your own adventure book about emotions and reacting to situations.

I was just thinking of selling the weather board, we don’t really use it much. I’ve never heard of this moon connection to woman’s cycle.
