You are so correct we all have a story it either makes you want to be a better person or give in. I refuse to give in my mother was abusive and very unresponsive to anything that did not involve her. I have never abused my children I raise them up every chance I get. My son has a serious addiction to alcohol people tell me to walk away but I can’t he is a gift from God and he has lost his way but he will always have me. Your house looks amazing I love that house.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh that rain noise was so perfect!! I miss those southern storms 😍 praying we have a wet monsoon season this year! Also, this rocking chairs look amazing!! I love sitting outside in a rocking chair, and zero maintenance sounds perfect 💗

Love your stories. Thank you so very much!! Don’t be so hard on yourself. At 50 I would walk 5 miles a day get my steps in eat healthy nothing would take the weight off especially menopausal belly. So I’ve come to accept it. I am healthy and can keep up with people less than my age. You are amazing ❤❤❤
Walk a mile in the morning and then again in the afternoon or evening. It’s a stress reliever and great way to clear your head. Add weight training to your fitness routine. Maintaining and building muscle burns calories. If you’re not loosing weight, then you’re still eating more than you can burn off. You can eat more calories and still lose weight if you eat the right foods. Cut out refined carbs and oils, processed foods, added sugar, etc. Initial weight loss is mostly water weight. After that, the scale moves slowly. Too much salt will add water weight, as well. Weight can go up and down from one day to the next. Record your weight daily and calculate your weekly average to see if you’re making progress. I use the apple health app to track progress. Remember that you eat is just as important as how much. You got this! 😊
I love how transparent you are, Lynn. It is good to see a normal person on TH-cam. I love the wreath; so pretty and looks like Summer. I am 54, and losing weight gets more difficult as we age, especially being women. Hang in there, dear one, you can do it. Just do your best, eat healthy and you can achieve it. I too was in 4th grade and I never forgot how that made me feel 😢I am a people pleaser too🙄Anyways I’m always worried about having a clean house. It just makes me feel so much better when my house is clean and in order😊❤️

We have pets and I find that after I clean the carpets, I do a vinegar rinse with the carpet cleaner on the rugs, and it makes a big difference.

It's so important to practice thankfulness and to learn to be content in your circumstances. Contentment isn't complacency or giving up on improvement, rather it's being thankful for the blessings you do have and enjoying your life without being anxious and obsessed with "when this happens, then..." Also, thank you for including the rain 🌧 I love the sound of rain ❤

Using a diffuser was a killer for my allergies. I got rid of it and much better now.
I love area rugs for the beauty and coziness they provide, BUT because of allergies, asthma and a chronic illness, I made the decision to get rid of every rug in my house. I've never regretted it. I sometimes miss the prettiness of a rug but I don't think I'll ever go back to rugs.
What do you use instead? I like them for the cushion on my feet too.
@@mrslynnwhite I just enjoy the bare floors. I have really pretty wooden floors. If you took that one rug up and lived without it for a few weeks you could gage whether or not it's beneficial to you.

I don't have a channel but I do have kids and I do work a full time job it's hard to find time to do simple things so I can relate you are not alone
Hi lynn I went through something similar to you my mum drank at nights fell asleep on the sofa and it was my job to put her to bed every night clean tidy-up school did my own clothing plus ironed my brothers clothing because I was told I was the best at it so they sat there and watched. A lot of other bad things where said to me and done but I was the adult they where my kids. My brother died suddenly and I was treated like crap by them both so I never got answers as my mum needs me now as my brother died she now has parkinson and dementia really need to talk to someone but now my children come first. ❤

Your boys are old enough to help you. When my mother came out of surgery my younger brother and I did the household chores and cooked dinner lunch breakfast for our younger siblings. I was 11 years old and my brother was 10 years old and we had four younger siblings. Indian food we cooked fresh daily

I’ve been taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water everyday that helped my weight loss efforts.

Lynn try My Pet Peed, you spray it and just let it air dry and pet urine smell and stain disappear. It is spendy but worth it.
This may sound weird, but my mom always put stuff outside in the sun to remove odors, and I promise you it works. That rug out in the sun all day will smell like sunshine at the end of the day.
We’ve all been sick and have allergies too…right there with you girl!
Hi Lynn, I live in Florida as well. I love the screen porch on front. If you sit out there a lot I'd say have (someone professional) re-screen it. If not take down and open up. The world is your oyster! Only you know what's best for your home in the end. You can feel it, see it and know how you use it. I miss my front porch as I really enjoyed sitting out front the best. I have a back screen room but I miss the front. Just too buggy without a screen more than half the year in my area. I think your home is charming and coming along beautifully! Really like your home it feels more freeing there? I may just order those chairs? I'm on the hunt for patio items. We had a large dining table and chairs outside, but realized didn't use it so searching for useful items. I say if I don't use it...I lose it! I do not want added maintenance with anything using it or not. We also have the ryobi pressure washer and yard tools. Glad we have a heads up on that. We've only used it a few times and last time pulled out was being stubborn on start up issues, etc. Will look into this glad that you all shared and are safe... can now look up online see if any recalls etc. Blessings to you and yours. ❤️

Have you ever considered using the indoor/outdoor rugs that I have seen a couple of your fellow TH-camrs use? They’re really pretty and seem so much easier to keep clean.
Hi Lynn the weight will come off. Testosterone builds muscle. I’ve Ben on bhrt for the last 5 years and I love it. I started menopause at 46 and this has been a game changer. I get the pellets. Estrogen and testosterone and I take progesterone by mouth. Give it a little time. Talk to your doctor. Trust me, you will notice a difference if you stop. I have so much more energy and cognitive capacity. Love your video! Keep us updated on what you decide ♥️

Hi Lyn would love to know more about the HRT. I'm turning 45 June 4th and I'm currently going through peri menopause but I'm so lost, there is so little conversation about what to do. Women really get the short end of the stick when it comes to medical anything.
Plz try Oxy fast stain remover it is at Walmart in pet department it is amazing you spray it on wait for a sec and it just disappears I hv 5 dogs tryed everything this really works
Also a screen is pretty easy to repair on your own. If we were in FL, I’d send my fiance over lol

I’ve always been told once a pet pees on a rug or carpet, it is never coming out. They will always smell it. I hope that’s wrong for your sake. I know you love your rugs.

Intermittent fasting. Its a game changer. And I'm not super strict with it either. I have 5 kids and they play sports so we eat dinner late, regularly.
What hours do you do?
@@mrslynnwhite most days I try to eat during a window from about 12 -6 pm. There are days I eat during less hours and days I eat at 9pm. I just try not to stress about it. I'm 39 now and lost 42 lbs in a few short months last year then ended up getting pregnant. Had my baby boy on Easter Sunday so now I'm trying to get back into it but struggle since I'm nursing. But it was the easiest way I have found to drop the weight. I wish you the best. And you look great no matter what!! But I know we don't always feel great. Definitely try intermittent fasting. You won't regret it. ❤️

Lynn I have a cat who would poop and pee and I decided to try a different kind of cat food and she stopped - Might want to try different food. It worked and she no longer pees anywhere on the carpet
I stopped wearing make up around my 30’s because I always itched around my eyes or my face and always touching my face and I never learned how to wear foundation plus some boyfriend a-hole I dated when I was 30 yrs old for 1 yr, bit my lip on purpose and caused me to get cold sore cut on lip. So I didn’t want to contaminate my lipsticks after that
Why don’t you make one for each season and each special days then you don’t have to do them every time and just change the colours x

Have you had your thyroid and estrogen levels checked
If your weight gain is because you are starting to get into the time of life that women naturally go thru as they get older, it’s a legit struggle, for one thing your metabolism is practically non existence. It’s just life for a women, it sounded like you are taking a regimen of hormones, they are great for your nerves, any bodily discomforts you may have , like getting to hot, not being able to sleep. I have found that I have to basically eat meat and veggies, and small portions, it’s a lot like keto, I just cut out almost all sugar( carbs) as possible, and keep my calories under 1500, preferably 1200, it’s a way of life now!
