hey this noise is from the engine tappets which often get loose after some kms of drive so u need to adjust them in every service. u can ask ur service center to adjust those during service intervals or else it will cause mileage drop pickup drop etc and several other issues as well. hope ur satisfied with info. ride safe and enjoy

This is not the tappet sound. This is a mysterious sound which almost nobody knows how to solve. I have a classic 350 reborn which the tappets have been adjusted per spec and this noise is still there. This is definitely not the tappet noise.

    • @anshulkushire

@@naztajudin2906 yeah It is something different as after adjusting the tappets the sound is audible but gets reduced. This sound is in all RE bikes so we can't do anything to it. Better to ignore the sound as many said that ride the RE without the tension of sound from the engine. If u overlook it u will be stressed.

Yes, it’s one of the tappets. The gap maybe set slightly too wide. It’s nothing major.

I'd be more worried if there was no tappet noise.
    It'll burn the valves out.
Checking the tappets on these J series is an absolute doddle.
Done all my own servicing on my Classic Red and Chrome with zero problems and only had to adjust the exhaust at 300 miles after that its been fine.
Can't hear anything thats not normal on your vid
Remember they run way hotter than water cooled engines so need more expansion room on the valve followers.
Over listening for every noise seems to be your problem mate.
    Running well?
    Don't worry, enjoy your bike.

Yes. I hear the exact same noise (same exact red bike). They told me at the dealership that it was a ”normal” sound. Bike rides fine but it is a little bit annoying because you want to hear the engine roar properly. Instead you hear this fast “tickle”.

After you adjust the tappet there will still be some rattling noise only when you go high rpm in low gear that noise will be coming from inside the tank in my opinion thats the noise of fuel indicator sensor but if you find the real problem pls do make a video on that will help us alot. 👍🏼

I have 1300 miles on the Classic 350, and noticed a new metallic resonance in the last two rides. It's at the top end of the engine under the valve cover, not the lower part of the cylinder. I adjusted the tappets and changed the oil at 300 miles, and the bike has run well since. 1200 miles completed the running in period, so it's possible that increasing revs in the last 100 has caused the gaps to move. It's not the usual valve chatter, more of a steady hollow ping from the top end. Does this sound like valves?

I just started hearing this on my 2022 Classic 350 which has about 3,900 miles on it. The bike runs great but I just started hearing this noise so figured something must be going out of spec. 🤷‍♂ Sounds like this is a known and common thing with no obvious solution. :( Anyway, glad I'm not alone here...

Yes, this sound is annoying. My Hunter do it since 500km too. Now it has 3000km. Also my RE service said, that this sound is normal. It looks like, that this sound is property of this engine.

Had this issue in my 650. Its not a problem technically and all but it is very annoying. You can learn how to fix it by getting the manual for the motorcycle, which I did since in my part of the world the mechanics at thteservice centers were very new to the bike. It is recommended that oe adjusts the valve space every year but if your riding style is not that aggressive you can do it maybe every 2 years. It is a quirk in these retro motorcycles that actually use old designs as parts. You have to learn to fix it. It isn't difficult but a long procedure.

Bro take your bike to Royal Enfield Service Center they will fix it.
Same case as yours with my Indian Hunter 350. A weird metal clinging noise from the Engine. After the tappet adjustment the noise was fix and bike sound was smooth as F**k.
Nothing to worry with that noise but the sooner you repair it will be good for you bike health. 😅😂

ok , i had the same noise , let me say this it is normal but you can do someting about it , i put a stage two camshaft from Hitchcocks motocycles in my bike . the noise is gone and the bike is a lot faster , stonger up hill . but put also a DNA airfiter in for better breading of the engine . and also did i removed the cat converter.

I found a solution to that noise.
( service centre and mechanics did not solve the problem - so i did it myself )
My hunter had the same noise problem. I Adjusted the tappets 0.07mm for inlet and 0.16mm for outlet (yes, i know it should be 0.08 and 0.18 ). The feeler gauge and its insert angle into the gap matters a lot for final clearance - Hence 0.07 and 0.16 are OK. (generally, the feeler gauge have a 10 -12% difference from their markings and different manufacture).
There are 2 most important thing to do after adjusting the valve clearance (1). Rotate the crank at least 3-5 times and remeasure the clearance. repeat this step as many as times required. (2) take the motorcycle for a ride for at least 15-20 kms so that tappets self adjust (highway cruising is preferred over city ride). Tappet noise should be greatly reduced and engine will calm down.

    First of all...
This sound is not tappet noise.
( For Hunter 350 new J series engine have NO tappet noise )
    Please check Auto chain tensioner
Next , may be valve train noise..
Always use fully synthetic top quality recommended grade oil. ( better racing ). Having an air cooled engine excessive heating may cause varios troubles eventhouh a brand new bilke...🤔
