    This was filmed before the covid social distancing. Just in case people are wondering.

    Loved this video , I went to a show in 1967 for Chrysler employees only , the show wasn’t even open and my dad snuck my brothers and I in I wanted to hear the road runner horn , so my dad went under the hood a connected the battery so I could hear it , I fell in love that day and I am still in love

    I'll say it again Matt, you have a gift for car show videos! The editing was great and the use of music, and the voice over was phenomenal ! I'm not a Mopar guy but I do appreciate the hours of dedication these men have put into these cars! Keep them coming!

    Welp very nice indeed. I had a '71 Plymouth Satalite Sebring plus, 440 & slap stick. Yep folks love the hot rod classics and so do I. Now all I have is an old restored '56 C70 Imperial w/354 fire power hemi, my '60 Plymouth 2dr ht, 383, 4 spd, just an old mopar A813, hurst and a dana. This is 1 of none ever built. The 383 is a '65 from my '65 Sport fury, the trany and rear end were for a '68 Hemi Road runner, still has card board band around the left axle. Never be worth the $$$ them things are worth, especially when equipped as born.

    If those slicks came apart and hit you dead if that fire breathing monster blew it's blower to pieces it kill you, those drivers had Huge Pair of Balls.

    The Road Runners and Super bee's that have the black hoods that are on pedestals are A12 cars they came from the factory that way with the fiberglass hood with no hinges a 440 6 pack a 419 Dana 60 rear gear with sure grip they were bad ass cars

    I’ve never seen the lifted up hoods on stilts as a display. Interesting.

    • @79tazman
      @79tazman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Those are A12 cars they came from the factory with no hinges so to show off the engine you take the hood off or you put them up on stilts that would sit where the hood pins are and that was factory Plymouth had the Roadrunner and Dodge had the Super Bee Just look up 1969 1/2 A12 cars they will pop right up here is a video of a super bee th-cam.com/video/Q2pHn9lgB9U/w-d-xo.html

    Why are some hoods on 4 posts elevated like that?

    • @MattsRadShow
      @MattsRadShow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just for showing off the engines. The hoods come completely off. This way they don't have to lay them on the floor. 😎👍

    Thanks for posting. Any idea what the 496 cid was based on? Is it a 440 originally?

    I wish I had a time machine to go back to the sixties and collect all the muscle cars back then there were sport cars and many were junked after 10 or less years only some people kept them because it had some sort of memories behind it or some were kept by hoarders that would park it back in the bush or barn and let is sit until the late 80's early 90's when they begin to be worth more then scrap price and they just kept going up and up in price to now today owning a muscle car that is all original is worth big bucks and they are investments some of them now days if you have the right car that is rare with big money like this 1971 'Cuda th-cam.com/video/W5tQm8HBB2Y/w-d-xo.html
