these guys shoulda been huge, they definitely deserved it. I saw them opening for Good Charlotte in 2004 and have listened to their stuff since then, kinda a bummer more people didnt get to appreciate it.
Then tell him from me “how this song didn’t catapult him to world wide acclaim I’ll never know!! Me and my mates still rate this as one of our favourite tracks ever…like 20 years late!!” ❤
@@witnessme4352 Good point. My wife went to school with James and said he got 1600 on the SAT's. I wonder if has to do with math and music ability having strange overlap.
@@epinephrinmusic is very mathematical so yes definitely. Speaking as an engineer and composer myself lol. Freaking loved this album when I was in middle school
It's Awesome that my 2 favorite punk rock members from my favorite punk band Good Charlotte Joel Madden N Benji Madden signed this great band for awhile under the DC Flag Records Man it sucks that their record label don't go on anymore but i'm happy to been apart of when they announced that they've signed these guys Lola Ray N also Hazen Street
dude this is cool stuff... I remember hearing this on Muchmusic or Fuse. nowadays I don't listen to mainstream stuff, mostly just punk music but this is a good song.
Lucky Bastard... Say thank you for his music please, I really enjoy it and I'm sad I've never been able to see it in person. I know he probably hears it alot but thank you very much!
This song has been stuck to me since NHL 2005. Last night I got a message from my little sister, she asked me "What was that song we used to listen to when we were kids? Metallic Girl?" And I was like "AUTOMATIC Girl!!!" Few moments later; "THANK YOU SO MUCH, BROTHER!!". I didnt know I used to listen to it THAT much haha.
@sirena90 I agree with you, but on the flipside they had this kickass song in NHL 2005!!! If you think about it, throughout the entire history of music EA had to choose from for the game, they chose these guys.. To me, that right there is a pretty good accomplishment!!!
Another example of a great album by a single songwriter (from what I understand, the singer wrote the music and the band is hired guns - his old high school friends) I truly think it's better that way. The Strokes is another good example. The first couple albums or so were mostly written by Julian, the singer.
singer is working on other projects, but they are going to put out another record. he's also playing with another band called The Sequel who is not as good as lola ray
It's almost 2024 and still waiting for this to be on Spotify
me too. i'm almost certain it was there at one point, then removed for some reason
Their second album “Liars” is on Spotify
Sameee
2024, still waiting on Apple Music as well 😂
seriously lol
Here I am in 2023 buying their albums a second time out of fear that they will become lost media 😭 They should have gotten way more appreciation
Takes me back to NHL 2005 soundtrack when I was in 4th grade. I love this song so much! They need to get this on the streaming services now!
these guys shoulda been huge, they definitely deserved it. I saw them opening for Good Charlotte in 2004 and have listened to their stuff since then, kinda a bummer more people didnt get to appreciate it.
Same story, completely agree! I kept waiting for them to blow up!
Same. A show in Salem, Oregon. I still love these guys.
I saw them open for GC too! 2005 in San Diego.
A friend of mine saw them open for GC let me borrow the album after and I fell in love was badly hoping to see them get big.
i wish it was 2004 man
I live 2 blocks from the lead singer. My daughter plays at their house all the time. What a wonderful family.
Then tell him from me “how this song didn’t catapult him to world wide acclaim I’ll never know!! Me and my mates still rate this as one of our favourite tracks ever…like 20 years late!!” ❤
Please ask them why it isn't on spotify yet!!!
Really cool band. The bassist, James McIvor is one of my math instructors at UC Berkeley. It is pretty awesome.
Why does every underrated emo band have someone who ends up being someone's math teacher?

Love this song!! I first heard it on NHL 2005!!!!
Adam Workey me too
Same
nice same. you should listen to The Real Zebos I think they have a cool vibe
damn ...the same story bro
absolutely criminal that they weren’t one of the most popular bands of the 00s. drum fill at 1:29 clears my skin every time.
Dang, that IS super rad at 1:29
I literally spent hours trying to remember this music video. I found it!!! I found it almost 10 years later. I'm so happy
Fucking snap.
Here I am in 2021 just having that very same moment, can’t even find them on iTunes
God dangit this band definitely deserved more hype! Listened when it released, still jamming in 2021!
This whole album was amazing. Plague, what it feels like, this song, we're all top tier
What I don't understand why this band never blew up. They came out in mid 2000s, during that era they should of been a hit.
I’ve had this on CD since it first came out
why isnt this on spotify???
It might be an exclusive to NHL 2005.
zEternalTired used to be, wondering this too. The rest of my childhood nhl soundtrack is but not this...
I used to have this album way back in the day. I’m really bummed it’s not on Spotify.
I still have this CD. It was at Best Buy. They didn't survive long enough to make the jump to streaming or they don't own the rights anymore.

Lola Ray should have been huge. This album needs a re-release!! 🖤
This song and Ash's song Orpheus stuck in my head for years because of NHL 2005!
This song seriously has good arranging and sounds. I loved the song when it came out during my high school year.
I saw these guys on MTV Advanced Warning maybe even late 90s I fell in love with this song!! It's a shame they felt the need to censor the chorus :(
Everyone saying they were so great, go listen to their album back in 2022. This band still rocks!
I still love this song!
Thought these guys were going to be huge in 2004. Not so. Glad the video is on youtube.
I work with John... I'll pass on the compliments. He's a pretty chill dude.
Lucky Bastard... Say thank you for his music please, I really enjoy it and I'm sad I've never been able to see it in person. I know he probably hears it alot but thank you very much!
Tamsyn Cox Please tell them how much I fckn love his music. They were ahead of their time, their energy was contagious
wow I just saw these hahahahahaha yes of course I will tell him lol

I didnt know I used to listen to it THAT much haha.
Omg today I found their CD looking through my storage space!!! I used to listen to this song on REPEATTTTT. Memories 🖤
Still got this CD in my car's CD player. :)
Market Street pub in '04 opening for Pepper in Gainesville, Fl. They sounded better live! Stunned they didn't blow up.
Saw these guys open for Phantom Planet when I was a teenager in 2004. Haven't heard a peep from them since, but oh, the memories... :-)
I was present when this record was being developed and I almost joined them, but I was too new to know better. Damn those were the days
haha I like how it censors 'guns' and 'killing'
so many hours Ive played dynasty mode on NHL 2005 with this in my ears
NHL 2005 ❤
I’m a lyft driver and a customer said his old math teacher was in this band lol
cool song and of course i very like NHL 2005!!!!!
One of the most underrated songs of all time
Loved you guys back in Vegas !!
I saw Lola Ray open for the Killers in Reno, and they had it all...great guys, great personalities too....
This song is 10 years old? Wow....

Red Aftermath omg thank you for reminding me of this
i miss this band... so much..
where did they goooooo????
A million years have passed since I first heard this song and it still gets stuck in my head, millennia later. Such a good fucking song ❤❤
I remember finding their second album in the virgin megastore in nyc. It’s a crime I still can’t find them on iTunes.
They opened for SUM41 and Good Charlotte when I was 13 in seattle I'm 30 now hahahaha good memories and I
seen them twice then they disappeared. OMG!
they deserved so much better
This song could've been an anime opening. I remember them on purevolume.
I luv this band
NHL 2005. Hello world!
i like how it was edited in nhl 2005. they used goal horns for censors and it actually fit well
Omg a trip down memory lane 😭
Met these guys at warped tour about 16 years ago. Had their ep with this and like 5 other songs. The good ole days
only 70,500 views as of Aug 5, 2012... this is a disgrace, this song deserves way more
why are "guns" and "killing" censored -_-
NHL 2005 :D
@sirena90 I agree with you, but on the flipside they had this kickass song in NHL 2005!!! If you think about it, throughout the entire history of music EA had to choose from for the game, they chose these guys.. To me, that right there is a pretty good accomplishment!!!
The guy playing Bass is doing a PhD is math at UC Berkeley
Still waiting for the album to go on Spotify
Oh yeah I'm a fan great song man y'all got mad skills Alex you are kicking those drums I love it😀

Combined with great gameplay!
A fun game...how strange.
Saw them years ago when they opened for Zebrahead and Lucky Boys Confusion. They were cool and hung around outside talking to people before the show.

Why is this not on spotify?
Wonder what happened to them.
im mad this band never made it anywhere
you really dont see asian lead singers a lot haha
or just asian descendents in general... only James Iha from Smashing Pumpkins comes to my mind rn
Hello from 2024 xoxo
singer is working on other projects, but they are going to put out another record. he's also playing with another band called The Sequel who is not as good as lola ray
Old school.
Our Brown Friends.
How come this isn’t on Spotify?
Reminds me of this knockout Russian girl in HS. She was automatic bc any guy who looked at her got an involuntary stiffler.
@njdevils17 Yeah. I wish that was the official version.
the censorship makes it sound dirtier than it actually is
Great song, what happened?
Fuck yeah
@TheHockeyVids i would have to disagree...THSP had some EPIC soundtracks :)
2019 hai
does anyone else recoginze one of the madden boys in the video joel and benji's brother !!!
