    Quite possible this is the prettiest piece you have presented on this channel and it truly was an inspiration as well as instructional. I need to get a full set of oils pronto lol

    Awwww... The barn owl looks so cute! He looks so real that he could pop out of your canvas! Could you do more realistic animal oil paintings?

    I don’t paint but I learned a lot from this!!! The medium may vary from what I use but the shading n values is awesome. I turned to crafting and left art for awhile so I’m relearning everything again

    ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What type of water mixable oil did you use? At one point you said you used medium, what did you use? can this be done in just the oil only no medium? I am sensitive to smells. How long did this take?Thank you . I just love this . I was always afraid to do oils because of the solvents. What is a good student brand of water mixable oils? would you do one in acrylic please?

      @MariaRevArt 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a year late, but Winsor and Newton Artisan Water-mixable oils are a common student grade brand. You could also try the Lukas Berlin water-mixable oils. They are great value for the price. A more high quality brand would be Royal Talens Cobra.

    Can I use just normal oil paints?

  • @rachel-ann4048
    @rachel-ann4048 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can use water in Oils?! I learned that oils can't mix with water and I remember a experiment that I did. And what was that name for acrylics to slow drying time?

    • @MariaRevArt
      @MariaRevArt 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't use water with traditional oils, but there are water-mixable oils available that you can clean up with water instead of solvent. And if you want to slow the dry time of your acrylics, you should look for an acrylic retarder or slow-dry medium. I hope that helps.
