I have visited the place and met Abdul Gafur. He demonstrated the art for us. Amazing. I also bought his work two trees of life which I sent to the USA and they were very much appreciated. Yes its a dying art. I also have Kurti. This art came from Persia.

When I was a young girl of 12 yrs old visited an exhibition in Dhaka in 1958, saw this work by a very old man wearing very thick glasses. He was creating exquisite art in the presence of the spectator. Since then I have never forgotten the art but didn't know what was it called n never seen it ever.Your Vedio has answerd my long stading quest n enlightend me about the skill. Pls eccept my heartfelt thanks.
Visited Kutch Gujrat in November 2017. Had no clue about this form of art. Definitely going to visit this family the next time I plan a trip to Gujrat.
