Thanks so much for this. I'm a worship leader and have been playing piano and vocally leading for literally years.... With a degree in vocal performance. Because my degree is vocal and not piano i haven't really progressed. Even though I'm fantastic at lead sheets and chord charts in any key, my playing is just BORING. I've gotten stuck in the same way of playing. I need these riffs to expand my playing. I only do about 2 of them... Over and over again. I'm really looking forward to trying these. Thanks so much!
Thanks Marine for these beautiful licks!!! I love those patterns with add9, sus chords and 6ths!! ❤ And not very complicated to work on for beginners ( which I appreciate a lot )
Thank you for sharing your unselfish piano talent to us , it's really help us a lot in improving our playing...hope more videos will see in the future...thanks
Good stuff, Marine. But all these licks seem to be built for fills in a ballad. They would sound great in a Journey power ballad. I'd like to hear some boogie-woogie, or blues, or country fills.
Hi! First of all, many thanks for those cool licks. I'm quite new to grace notes, so I'm wondering if there shouldn't be a flat instead of a sharp in lick no. 2 in the little score you prepared? :)
@@OnlineRockLessons Also, for the Am chord, it looks (and sounds) like you are playing "b2 2 b3" (A# B C) and not "2 b3 3" as for the other chords. Perhaps because it's a minor chord?
Music theory dictates the add 9 in this case. Where there is a major triad, "d" would be add 9. If there was no 3rd it would be a sus2. If there was a major 7 in the chord it would be a major 9. So in this the add 9 is correct.
Nice ! I. Believe i will have fun! Any appealing melodies like romantic would draw my attention!! ....❤

Yes! You are correct it’s a mistake! Should be D# or Eb.
@@OnlineRockLessons Also, for the Am chord, it looks (and sounds) like you are playing "b2 2 b3" (A# B C) and not "2 b3 3" as for the other chords. Perhaps because it's a minor chord?
For Lick no.2, the first 3rd note (E) is written as a E#, but you appear to play an Eb, so should it be an Eb instead of an E#?
Yes! You are correct it’s a mistake! Should be D# or Eb.
Thank you for your prompt response
You're a very good teacher I must say that 😊 really helpful..
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful 😊

please put time stamps
Lick#1 1:49, #2 3:04, #3 4:21, #4 5:59, #5 8:21, #6 9:44, #7 11:24, #8 13:09, #9 14:40, #10 16:05
Why do you say a 9 while the 7 is not present in thechord?
It’s an add9 not a 9 chord. That’s the difference
@@OnlineRockLessons Why not just add2?
It’s not really common. But yes you can call it an add2. We usually call that a add9.
Then it’s only a preference of voicing.
I would think add 9 since it is up one octave plus 1.
Music theory dictates the add 9 in this case. Where there is a major triad, "d" would be add 9. If there was no 3rd it would be a sus2. If there was a major 7 in the chord it would be a major 9. So in this the add 9 is correct.
i think you're more beautiful than your licks😍
Aw thanks 😊
