I was there for that game absolutley brilliant still remember the feeling of a good european cup tie under the lights waking down the high road both before and after the game happy memories.
I was there too, what a night!
It was another world. Grazie for video.
Oh, how I miss real football....
Same here. I hate the modern game!
@max amico And it will only get worse!!
I miss the old day when football was football
When football kits were football kits. No Nike shite. And teams wore their first team strips when there was no colour clash.
...and players looked like football players with no tattoo and piercing shit all over their body
. . .and old people in those days complained about long haired footballers who kissed each other when they scored and weren't 'real men' like the players from the '40s. This sort of longing for the past has always gone on.
@@tonybates7870 Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
I was there, what a night.
There was just something so unique about this old sport that nowadays, even if athletes may be more professional and skillful than before, can never match the uniqueness of classic football/soccer.
Giustissimo ❤
An Alan Mullery goal in the second leg gave Spurs a 1-1 draw at the San Siro and Tottenham progressed to the Final, where they beat Wolverhampton Wanderers over two legs.
this match was stolen ..... and anyway look what milan won in european cups and what totthenam did
Senza offesa..
@@waltertonelli2174You were still beaten. We win trophies without corrupt billionaires.
This was the 5th game in 8 days for Spurs.
The days when a match between an English club and an Italian club meant English players against Italian players.
Correct!
True
I was in the middle of the parklane aged 13.oh what a night
when the european cup was really the european cup !
yeah now it's called the European cup with bunch of africans and asians playing.
Brilliant night of football loved going to Tottenham then.
Perryman, underated...from a scouser
Absolutely agree, two players for the price of one. Great positional sense, football brain, tacking, and then once going forward.. passing, vision, shooting and tireless. From a WHU fan. Steve was class.
hear that roar when spurs score amazing night
I lived within a mile of the ground and the roar was fantastic. The best was when we beat the mighty Leeds to stay up in '74.
Great stuff..
Claudio Cudici’s dad in goal.
Eric idle was such a good commentator between filming Monty python
LOL
That's funny...
omg....
How good do those Spurs shirts without the advertising look?
That's Italians for you! Hot blooded! Now you wouldn't catch the likes of Bremner or Hunter backchating the Ref!
Leeds never cheated, bribed or argued; and their fans were the best behaved.
@@scherben8870 Aye! Haha!
Was that Schnellinger in defence and the keeper Cuducini, old man of the modern Chelses keeper?
Yes. He was his father, goalkeeper too. He won Champions League in 1969 against Ajax.
Did a red card not mean instant disqualification back then? There seemed to be a lot of confusion about it. Sogliano didnt seem to see what color the card was...
To William Gunnaway: hey guy, Italy won 4 world cups and two times lost the final. Moreover we were world champions on the stop by war, and on 1950 ten national team players died on crush plane. Perhaps we would have won more.
This is the first leg.. Spurs had to go to the San Siro with a 1-0 lead.
2-1
I'm guessing red and yellow cards were a relatively new concept
le vrai football
What part of "Off!" don't you understand Wop?
I was there
Did Perryman's shot for the second goal hit the referee?
The only foreigners in English football then where Irish, Scottish and Welsh
They ready gave a red card for that lmao
Even in the 70s the refs were soft lol
He is. Gilzean is Scottish and remembered fondly.
Oh what a ridicolous red card!
greaves should have still been there
Call me biased but I love how the ref APPLIED THE RULES and gve the guy a red card. Should always be the same but today refs are scared to do it.
Really, it was a beautiful match. Nevertheless, that fat man in black ruined it a lot with his red card. The yellow was enough.
It would have been if the player had gone back like he was meant to.
@@rubewaddell1704 Do you like to see it like this? Well, may be I'm more shakespearean than you: as you like it 😊
Spurs.
Yep, that's Spurs alright!
1st leg bell end
Is it just me or did the red cards then look more "red" than these days..... Not that I watch much now anyway
Fully deserved red card- should have happened more often with such cheats(including British ones)
@@tsmay4598 it would have been if he moved back as instructed.
If the Italians would just play football they waste more time cheating the clasping hands and the Mama Mia gesture, they all do it
Great isnt it, just a load of blokes playing footy and getting on with it, not fannying around like these prats nowadays
Arbitro scandaloso!!!!!!
Why did he send him off? I remember I asked my father and he said "no idea" 😅
Arbitro scandaloso vergogna 🤬
Those Italians know how to poorly manipulate a game. Didn't miss them at the World Cup.
The only World Cup won by England was with a fake goal and you dare to talk!
@@zaqwsx23
It was 4-2. What about the fourth goal? Gonna call that fake as well?
and in the european championship?
@@tonybates7870 gol Number ,4 was scored because germans went on top equalize the England fake goal...
Arbitro venduto. Non ho capito l`espulsione a Sogliano.
