This video was super helpful! Do freshman get to choose if they want a single, double, triple, or quad for the dorms and how are roommates chosen? What type of dorm did you stay in your freshman year? 🙂
Thank you!! You mostly don't get to choose what room you get. Many people do random roommates but one of my friends found someone over the summer and they lived in a double together! I had a random roommate and was in a double in Denbigh, and for your first year, you don't to choose which dorm. I also made a dorm tour earlier if you want to check that out to see my room :)
Heyyyy!! I really liked your video. I got admitted to Bryn Mawr for Fall 2021 and I'm really excited. I was wondering if there was any type of difficulties you faced at Bryn Mawr or if there are any cons that you would like to share. Also, would you share more about the different job opportunities on campus for students? Thank you so much again and I cannot wait to join Bryn Mawr!
This was very helpful! I can tell how much you love it by the way you kept smiling while you were reminiscing. I do actually have another question. I've heard that Bryn Mawr is extremely liberal, and that students tend to 'not trust' conservatives. I am conservative myself, so do you think that this would be a problem for me? Thanks in advance, and I can't wait to see more videos! You should do a 'what to bring to college' video where you elaborate more on this topic.
Thanks!! ❤ I love Bryn Mawr. Honestly, Bryn Mawr is definitely liberal but the majority of the student body is super open to hearing what people of any background have to say. It is not something I would worry about, everyone is generally super accepting of others and wants to see the best in people. And good idea, I'll definitely make that if I have time!
I would disagree that the climate at Bryn Mawr is ideally accepting of all views. if you have conservative views, it is generally frowned upon there. this should not keep you from attending the school, but it is just a fair warning that the social and political environment can be stifling for conservative thinking students. I say this as a student with liberal political views who has seen a fair amount of hostility toward views that diverge from the majority of students. It is true that the political climate is definitely tense at times on campus, especially given the small size.
Hi Jolene, I don’t know if you’ve already applied, but while colleges want students who have impressive extracurriculars, if you work in your free time (particularly in order to pay for things that other applicants don’t have to worry about as much) My mom was a first-gen student, and in the same boat as you, but she still got into college. Tell your story as genuinely as possible, and talk about what you have learned from your experiences + what you’re planning on doing in college. Best of luck!
I really enjoyed your video. I am a senior in high school who is very interested in Bryn Mawr. First, I want to know the biggest pros and cons of Bryn Mawr. Also, I would like to get advice on which students Bryn Mawr prefers and how I should put them in my application essay.
Hi! So glad you liked the video. I'm thinking of majoring in political science! Honestly, the workload has been a lot better than I was expecting. I work 12 hours a week on campus as well as my school work, but I still have plenty of time to hang out with my friends and have relaxing meals. It definitely varies for different classes and majors, but I have found it to be not too hard to find a good balance. Definitely let me know if you have other questions!
@@ChloeStapletonGray Thank you!!! I'm currently a freshman in highschool so I have a little time, but do you have any tips on what to do to increase my chances of acceptance during my highschool years?
@@marilyndarling1269 I think one of the most important things is to have things that you're super passionate about and that shine through when you eventually write your application :) of course, grades and test scores help a lot, but colleges, and especially small liberal arts colleges, are really looking for passionate students that want to tell the college about themselves. You got this! ❤
Hi!! I’m class of ‘22 and am looking into bmc :) I haven’t been able to find many other vids out there, would you mind sharing ur hs stats? Only if you’re comfortable of course :)
My daughter got in to Bryn Mawr ED2 a few days ago. Thank you for your videos. We really enjoyed watching them.
Awww that makes me so happy to hear ❤️ Congrats to your daughter on getting in!!

I do not have any extracurriculars. I work in a fast-food joint after school and on the weekends. How should I explain this on my application?
