the amount of misinformation chat gave you last time is crazy! Here's to hoping it's better this time. For the record, crucifixes do work! on all ghosts! They stop the ghost if it tries to hunt within a 3-meter radius of the cross. Also, smudge sticks keep the ghost from wandering and you can use a flashlight while holding something else with T. haha it can definitely be confusing! I think because the game doesn't hold your hand, it's easy to speculate about the "rules" of certain objects
A few more facts about the crucifix: It has to be deployed BEFORE the ghost starts hunting. It also only lasts for so long, so use it wisely.

evan, orbs move and arent always on cams, so u need to watch cams for a bit to find orbs, there was one where it has a white dot that wasnt an orb, it stay there not moving so its probably some sort of light
Dude Evan you were crouched with Maria but you left your flashlight shining right in her face while she was hunting... you helped her find you... that's why you died... if your flashlight is blinking like that, the ghost is in hunting phase, you need to get away from where the ghost is and find a room or closet to hide in, shut the door, crouch and turn off your flashlight... you have a better chance of surviving... you guys also need to do more prep work before walking in the house, for instance if the entrance is far away from the truck, bring all the items you'll need and put them closer to the door so you save time and get more done before they enter the hunting phase... and when you for sure find the room the ghost is in, you can drop items so you can have room to grab protective stuff like smudge sticks and crucifix... if you leave the emf and spirit box on, drop them on the floor, they still work and will react to ghost... always drop a book in the room first thing as well as video camera... and you can take a photo of fingerprints without the uv, just get a good angle on the exact spot and your camera will catch it... you guys did pretty good for just beginning though... can't wait to see you do more, also keep in mind that the game can glitch out sometimes and some of your evidence won't pop up no matter what you do even if it's needed for the ghost you find... like you need freezing temps but you never see your breath and the thermometer can't it up either but it was supposed to be there for sure... it happens alot so be careful...^-^...
This is probably the nicest post giving tips. I've never seen such vitriol in their gaming (uncut) comments before. Really surprising since watching them play single players like Inscryption is far more aggravating than this. This is just, they're not very good, but at least they're having a good time and they try to use tips chat gives them to get better. I just can't understand the hatred in the comments. At 2:29:40 ish that urge that Evan mentioned to just do a bad or weird thing just to see what happens is an actual scientific phenomenon and it’s known as “the call of the void.” If you’ve never heard of the name, you might have experienced it as like just suddenly thinking “what if i just yeeted my phone of this bridge rn” or “what if I ate that thing that is definitely not food,” and then immediately after you’re just like “what?” Or you dismiss it as if you didn’t even think it. It could also be that slight urge to break a rule just because the rule exists but if you weren’t told not to do the thing, the thought would never cross your mind.
"the call of the void" is such a fitting name for that phenomenon!
I've experienced this a lot, but it's usually things like when I'm driving, I start to think 'What if I ran off the road right now?' Or if I'm out walking, I imagine 'What if a crazy dog just ran up and attacked me?'. Totally crazy stuff.
I tend to imagine chucking pencils at the backs of peoples heads in class... I didn’t know why until now lmao

when the ghost starts to hunt u guys must immediately stay silent and not make even the smallest sound then crouch and find a place to hide and also make sure u turn off whatever u are holding in your hand. the biggest problem is that u guys dont know what to do when the gost starts to hunt. after u master this part u guys should basically be pros. hope the next stream will be better :)

Also, when hiding from the ghost, turn off your flashlights, and do not talk, it can hear you.
Tip: Smudge sticks stop the ghost from hunting for 90 seconds and if its already in hunt mode it pauses the ghost for 6 seconds (According to the phasmophobia wiki online)

I'd like to point out that that both times it was a poltergiest, chat said the emf reached level 5 when it only reached level4 both times.
I know, it can get kinda annoying. It's clear when the box gets to 5, it's a bright red. Also, the chat has the option of going back and rewatching. Eh, in the end everyone is having fun, just wish the chat wasn't constantly giving bad/wrong information. It's not just on this game too, it's every game they play.

Katelyn, the book doesn't have to be placed in the coldest area, you just need to put it in THE room. If one part of the dining room is below 10C means that THE room is the dining room

I've been watching both parts over the course of the last two days and you can say I'm slightly paranoid. I tried playing with my cat in a semi dark room and when she popped up next to me suddenly after having been all the way on the other side I hissed at her in terror and when I realized what I had done I fell over laughing. Quarentine has made me more like a cat and you guys make it all the more better, thanks so much!

Guys i have a tip for you, if you don't like to play with your hands full of cheetos dust, use chopsticks! xD i always do that, because i don't like my keyboard or mouse to get dirty when i play and eat, so, i use chopsticks, it's super handy ♥

Honestly watching doesn't spoil the game in my opinion, I watched it a bit first before I got the game, and I enjoy doing both
Just watch the uncuts, and use them as a learning experience. Then go and play the game and enjoy it from your point of view. Thats what I would do.

Can tell you guys are a younger generation - you put info on your phones. I'd keep scrap paper handy for misc. things like the name of a ghost; for more info I'd have a notebook with tabs - a tab for each game - where I'd note which button/stick controls what action. That way I'd just grab a notebook and look up the game name and see what I did in previous times.
It’s amazing how chill Evan is for these things. I’d be just like Katelyn, except as soon as the room get’s cold, I’d LEAVE! Love you guys, and if you want to do bigger ones with more people, you could maybe get ONE_shot_gurl to play?
