The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. I have set aside 650k to invest in the stock market now, since that keeps up with inflation, but I don't know how to get started.
An idea for a video would be dividend payers where you analyze large maturing cash cow companies like Google and PayPal that seem to be in the position of starting to payout growing dividends soon. I’m new in investing and still doing my research.
nice idea, I had a financial emergency late 2019 and sold my shares for a healthy profit to cover the expense, still wish I hung on to those shares today and just opened a credit card instead, but then I had no sort of guide or expert counsel
I hear that, but the truth is advisors role can only be overlooked, but not denied. Amidst the rona-outbreak in January 2020, my portfolio worth $350k steeped down by almost 10% due to the pandemic crash apparently. At once, I consulted an advisor to avoid blunder, my account has now generated a big fat yield and leverages on 7-figure as of today.

The decision on when to pick an advisor is a very personal one. I take guidance from ‘Monica Mary Strigle’ to meet my growth goals and avoid mistakes, she's well-qualified and her page can be easily found on the net.

I made a position on Paypal a while ago. I am now up around 12%. Paypal is one of the top 5 positions on my portfolio so I am a happy camper.

Hey Paul, I did a DCF and surprisingly I had Paypal at 65.43$ a share! The upside appears to be very limited as does the downside though. I'm going to start selling puts against to to generate a bit of extra income and if I get assigned I'd be happy to own the stock.

Look at VISA cardholder growth over the years. There was a slight dip in cardholders in 2011, kind of like PYPL recently. Did this worry anyone about VISA stock? Right. :)
Waiting for PayPal to acquire a competitor or cement another big vendor. PYPL's growth chart story could change very quickly, much like VISA's did in 2017, thanks to its exclusive relationship with Costco. I am invested for the long term. I believe PYPL has solid enough financials to be another META. Bargain price right now.

stock is the same share price as it was in 2017 while revs have more than doubled.
I own the shares for analysis reasons, but I hate the trading action on the shares. User growth is down with them closing accounts which is fine. I do not like the number of employees.
Usually, when you "clear" the "customer base" from inactive or problematic accounts there is a spike down and afterward a constant increase. It is an one-off procedure. You don't do housekeeping in the customer base for 3 years😅. I haven't seen this kind of graph. I see flat line for 2 years+. This is typical in mature companies, after decades of operation. They have a stable base of customers and work in trimming costs and maximizing income per customer. Certainly not a growing company. From the other hand the numbers and profits are good and the company is undervalued.

I like PayPal, i own it and use it. I will back out of a payment if the seller doesn't offer payment with PayPal. But im starting to see less sellers giving the option and i think this could be down to PayPal siding with the buyer more so where there is an issue, whereas the other pay options don't give the buyer any real support so suits sellers more.

Lots of competition in that space, kind of like social media sites. What "everyone" is using today might not be the trend in a couple of years. Looked at PayPal in the past, but never pulled the trigger on it.

They have flushed out low-quality customers, predominantly in Latin America and Southeast Asia.

The main problem with PayPal is its growth. It’s not a growth company and it is not a dividend play , so it hard to justify PayPal. It is a great company just like sears was

Paul, why would anyone "invest" in Paypal when Elon said he is coming for Paypal's business after they kicked him off of the board years ago of a company he helped to create? Elon already stated that X will be the new payment center for the world where you can do everything with X; As soon as this is even spoken about officially being released Paypal is going to fall 5% just on that 1 day of the news

Please dont take it as arrogance but the moment you put paypal as a comparison company with meta, it reveals your ignorance about business fundamentals.. just by putting some numbers to justify a stock value is one side of the coin.. but you are not focusing on business fundamentals, moat .. what is paypal doing differently.. why free cash flow decreased. Understand what they do as a business.. it will help viewers of the channel and your channel to grow
