Strange can handle all of Ultron's energy based attacks via his absorption sorcery, but it's shown repeatedly that Ultron can simply overpower Strange physically, except in his monster form. WHY THE STONES WORKED- Ultron wasn't using the stones conventionally. He was essentially using them to power himself, like batteries. For example, we've never seen the green light of the power stone used offensively EXCEPT when Ultron uses it. That's why he didn't just turn The Watcher into bubbles or something. ALSO - You we're right about them NOT working in the TVA because that place cancels all magic energies

    • @speedy01247
      @speedy01247 3 ปีที่แล้ว +107

      I heard he uses it on himself since he is from his universe so rather then generally attacking with it, he alters himself instead. Same reason stranges infinity stone worked, but only on himself, making him immune to Ultron's time stone power.

    • @oddmaniaproductions
      @oddmaniaproductions 3 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      That's not at all what was going on with this show. The reason they work is because this is MCU aka new rules. The whole thing about the stones don't work in other universes is in the comics. The MCU never established that rule. And even if Ultron tried using the stones on himself outside of his universe that still wouldn't work given the comic rule said they don't work at all in other universes. Also I'm pretty sure Dr Strange used his time stone to negate Ultron's and that wouldn't work if the comic rules was in place here lol.

    • @oddmaniaproductions
      @oddmaniaproductions 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Even the writers "explanation" doesn't make any sense given Ultron was able to influence the planets and project his face in the sky. That's not powering himself that's using the stones on that universe.

      Party Thor's universe where he got to live a happy healthy life among other Frost Giants is arguably Loki 'winning'. About the Stones working outside their universe and so you guys get the idea clear:
    In Loki all they said was the Stones don't work inside the TVA, they never mention anything about not working outside their universe in general.
    The reason why people thinks about that is because of the comics, in the comics the stones only work inside the universe they were created on.
    The movies have their own logic and system for many things that are pretty different from the comics.

    The infinity stones only working in their own universes is from the comics. The MCU never established this rule for the movies. Just because the stones don’t work in the TVA doesn’t mean they wouldn’t work in alternate timelines.

      Thank you. I really stopped bothering explaining this to people. They get the explanation and go to another video and ask the same questions. And sadly that's not the only thing they get hung up on. A lot of people seem to think that alternate timelines are different from alternate universes, when in fact they are just two different names to the same thing, and they confuse themselves and other people with them. I blame New Rockstars videos.

    In the case of Steve, I'd think one of three things happened:
    1. I can't remember if it shows him properly escaping the portal so there's a chance he got sucked in too and eventually got out somehow.
    2. Hydra manages to get hold of him again and Winter soldiers him like Bucky. Or they already did something that slowed his ageing.
    3. He's actually just super old in there. Though that one's not really as happy an ending.

    Commenting on your comments from the beginning. I think that the infinity stones didn't work in the Loki show because the TVA exists not just outside the known universe, but the known MULTIVERSE. But it does raise the question of how Ultron got into the watchers domain and started causing trouble

  • @tvwrectoss7724

    From what I could come up with : ultron wouldnt have to leave his universe at all - with the space stone powered by all the others, he could theoretically just bring his universe with him. Kind of like a bubble?
    Simply put - imagine the multiverse as a pile of fabric sheets layered ontop of one another. Now place infinity ultron at the center of a glass bead and put that bead between those sheets. All Ultron would have to do in this scenario is use the stones to "protect and propel" himself, essentially sliding around the multiverse without having to actually leave his own universe.
    Wanna break through to an alternate universe? Rip through a sheet.
    Lastly, whenever ultron attacks the wstcher, he'd simply extend his "bubble" to include the watcher when needed. Stretch the bubble along the length of a straight beam of power and whatever it hits gets included into that bubble universe + hit by the beam.
    But thats just my 2 cents ^_^ lemme know what you all think
    Oh and ps. Love the reactions!! Bahaha, is there a 4th seat somewhere i can take?! LOL it would be AWESOME having you 3 as friends

    it was never mentioned in Loki that the stones won't work in other universes, it only said it won't work inside the TVA, which is a pocket dimension outside the multiverse, just like the Quantum Realm. im guessing The Watcher's realm is a pocket dimension within the multiverse just like Strange Supreme's bubble.

    The best metaphor I think I've ever seen as to why diety-level beings shouldn't interfere in the mortal realm came from a light novel called _In Another World With My Smartphone._
    God Almighty tells the MC that basically a god trying to use their power in the mortal plane would be like a human trying to fix a broken spiderweb with a needle and thread.
    Basically impossible to do without causing more harm than good and better left to the spider in the first place.
    Note for the most part The Watcher left the fight to the mortals to avoid ripping the multiverse a new one accidentally with his own power.

  • @GamerGrovyle
    @GamerGrovyle 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Here's how I understand that the Infinity Stones work according to the MCU rules.
    With One of the stones you get limited control over that aspect wherever you are. If you have all six at once you gain unlimited control over the entire universe but the blowback will kill or mutilate most living beings.
    It's not yet shown if having all six stones lets you manipulate universes other than your own.
    The reason the Infinity Crusher didn't work on Ultron's Stones is because they were different enough than hers that it couldn't properly destroy them.
    It's kinda like fitting a square block into the circular slot.

    @YaBoyRoshi,
    1:22 Who made the TVA? He Who Remains. Who is he? He is essentially Kang. He might not be Kang the Conqueror Kang, but he was a conqueror of some type, but that's beside the point. He can do the same things his variants can do and we know this because he told us when he explained his past. Kang, though "Just a man. Flesh and blood" is able to go toe-to-toe with superpowered people. Why is that? He's able to do that because he's from the 31st Century and he has access to technologies that allow him to nullify their powers.
    Why wouldn't this guy, the guy who built the TVA use that technology to in his organization? The TVA has to occasional go up against superpowered people to protect the Sacred Timeline, right? This is likely why magic and the Infinity Stones do not work at the TVA. Magic, does in fact work in the Citadel at the End of Time, as evidenced by both Loki and Sylvie in their battle, and that's likely because He Who Remains willed it so. He gave them access to his domain and he allowed them to make their own choices, and if he was going to be real with them, as he said he would, he'd have to turn off whatever he had on protecting himself--my man, took his hands off the levers of power and we saw things go off the rails pretty fast, so I don't think this is a stretch.
    Anyway, the stones work where ever they find themselves to be...sort of like the Dora Milaje, lol. You saw it last episode with Ultron jumping from universe to universe, and you'll see it again in this episode with both Ultron and Strange using their respective stones. Aside from the stones being the only thing capable of destroying the stones, it appears that things built in the universe of the stones with that ability can also destroy their respective stones. Anything else is a no go, from what we've seen and were told, so far.
    1:29 the MCU =/= the comics. Many fans keep trying to make these two universes the same and they aren't. They are their own separate universes. The MCU is rooted in the comics, yes, but it doesn't follow the comics verbatim--it never has. Every time we fans try to make it fit we end up getting things wrong or disappoint ourselves...look no further than WandaVision or Ultron or Doctor Strange if you will. What if...? Is sort of giving diehard comic fans the characters and powers they've wanted to see while keeping the characters and powers they've been using in the live-action MCU.
    11:35 Nidavellir--they showed her there at the beginning with Tony. She, Tony and Eitri were melting down the gauntlet remember? Eitri can make anything! He made a machine to use the power of the Stones, weapons for gods and in Gamora's universe he made a machine to destroy the stones.
    15:20 Uatu, the Watcher breaks his oath. We watched him watch the end of 7 universes, and this is the moment he steps in to save 6 of the 7. Uatu cannot undo what's been done, so the world Ultron destroyed, the one Natasha comes from is forever lost. He didn't not make her return to a dead world. Instead he inserted her into the world Hank Pym ruined, the one with King Loki trying to take over the world. From the look of things, Natasha saved the day and Nick Fury, along with Steve Rogers, Carol Danvers, Natasha Romanoff and Phil Coulson are going to make the Avengers with the heroes who came later--Natasha knows of Hydra, Doctor Strange and T'Challa so she'll be able to save them a lot of trouble moving forward.
    Uatu probably didn't help T'Challa Star-Lord, as it looked like he already had things under control, but if he did that world is about to flourish with Peter fighting along side the Ravagers.
    The Ultron invasion coming to Vegas is destroyed and Thor's a hero. And from this point forward, I guess he lives happily ever after, lol.
    The world Erik Stevens screwed over is now free of him. Uatu got Erik to help and he knew Erik's greed would eventually get the better of him. Erik, was needed to defeat Arnim Zola, as someone needed to be sacrificed to trap Zola in a pocket universe and Erik jumped at the chance to do it, lol.
    Supreme Doctor Strange is stuck, as his universe is gone. That said, Uatu gave him a chance to atone and he did it spectacularly, as he helped save the Multiverse. Strange isn't bitter about it either. He got to spend time with others and he has a friend and a new job. While he has to stay in his own pocket universe, he's no longer alone, and Uatu might pop in from time to time to talk with him, and I suspect that we'll see this Doctor Strange again in the future when they need to trap another threat in a pocket universe far from everyone else.
    This series was satisfying from start to finish and I love how it all played out. I wish we could have had the Gamora story as it would have given her and Tony more time, but apparently we'll see it next season, but I wonder if it'll get changed up to fit that season more. This was a lot of fun and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

So the stones have be in ANY universe to work except if they are in the TVA. Because the TVA is not in any universe at all and is outside of space and time. I guess the stones need space and time to work which universes have. Also, remember how the show LOKI began?

    In the comics the infinity stones don’t work outside of their intended universe but in the MCU they seem to be wanting to change that. Plus Ultron with the stones is a lot stronger than he should be.
    But even with that, separate timelines are separate universes and so idk. It just boils down to the MCU directors have no idea what they want and just keep jumping from concept to concept and creating confusion and plot holes

    If I can remember correctly there isn’t a watcher who watches the Watcher but there is a kid named Franklin Richards that controls all of Marvel. He does it subconsciously though. Anyone who he doesn’t want to die doesn’t die for as long as he wants, they’re just turned into different timelines and iterations.

    Bruh, Strange literally pulled a Rimuru and Beelzebubed that explosion. I loved it so much.

    Thor screaming when the watcher grabbed him is definitely a reference to Thor: Ragnorok when he was being teleported in the chair.

    The stones work in realitys that obey the same laws of reality

    The thing is I’m k the comics, it’s explicitly said that the infinity stones don’t work outside their local universe. But in the MCU, they never said so. It’s just in the TVA so far and we all assumed it was the same.
