Considering the last time I pointed out that 220 posted a video that was similar to packy, he said and i quote "220 stole my idea from private conversation" Lolol.
Dude throws it like he invented wood bowling balls and Packy throws it like it's a purple hammer lol. Love it.
i can already see a perfectly round lathe turned wooden ball, holes drilled to fit, with The House logo burned into the side.
Sanded to surface, or veneered to a shine for length.
There has to be someone out there with some talent in a lathe to make this happen
As someone who's used a lathe BRIEFLY (less than a month of real usage) it probably could be done? getting it to be perfectly round i can see being a challenge, but better than this would be quite easy
If someone with significant experience is here please tell us lol
There are sphere jigs for wood lathes, it can be done.
Might just have to be done!!

Ya know they have a golf tournament for only wooden clubs. Louisville Golf is still producing them. I actuly bought a set 20 years ago and they performed pretty well. I still have the laminated wooden putter. The clubs themselves were gorgeous. Why not a wooden ball tournament. That would be great❤❤❤

I love watching yours and 220s videos when you guys do like different challenges. To me it shows a true love for the sport to be competitive when the lights come on and have fun with it during off time with variations. Great content!

I had never seen a wooden ball until this past July. I bought a Madness while on vacation and was blown away by the inventory in the shop. I was given a tour of the shop and shown an undrilled wooden ball that was made before the standardization of ball size at 8 1/2". If I remember correctly, 8 1/2 became standard in the 1920's. This ball was 7 1/2" or 7 3/4".

If you can make it out to the Dayton, OH area, I have pins you can try to shoot at...I have 1 set of 10 Brunswick Kings (wood) and 2 sets of Magna Pins (Titanium) circa 1960's I believe. These pins are LOGS. The scoring will be low and I'd love to see you make a video on them. I'm sure Jerry @ Thunderbowl (Englewood, OH) would totally be up for a match! Hit me up!
My favorite videos are the ones that involve Brent the clown. Waiting for the ball drop in the background or the towel throw.

My daughter found a wooden 2 hole bowling ball in her basement. Now I have it. It's not completely round, there are some chips out of it, but it is an antique!

As wood worker I have thought about making a wooden bowling house ball a few times. Wood is porous and it soaks up oil. The right right kind of hard wood it might could do pretty good.
I wonder if my would freak out if I threw one. It might be a fun challenge to see who could make Packy the best ball.

When I was a kid in the 60's, our bowling center had many two-fingered house balls. Rubber, of course. Hey, Packy, why doesn't Brent bowl on tour? 250 average, 899 series, I think he's good enough.

I personally think an old style all rubber bowling tournament for the PBA would be cool, that and a tournament they use a modern Canadian 5 pin/Duck bowling ball on a 10 pin tournament.
