Awesome vid! Pro tip for rice I just learned this year. Once you leave the rice to simmer, make sure to use some aluminum foil between the pot and lid. Helps not lose steam and makes the rice-water ratio work every time 👍

Yo this is definitely glamping, I have have never camped with electricity before. That fire free snores game was on point though. Just spent a weekend in the Medicine Bow national forest. (It's all an fire now, so don't worry about trying to see it) we just go out with a mess kit, jet boiler, gas cans, and dehydrated foods. PSA: I'm a black woman. I have taken an entire airbed into the wilderness before too, Glamping is fun and absolutely worth it!

I think I find this normal because in East Africa we have villages which is some form of camping because showers and toilets are outside. And, all the activities are carried out outside. Cooking, washing clothes and dishes, eating etc etc. We only go into the house to sleep. Even entertaining of guests is done outside.
Cool camp spot. We love to camp. Electricity is a necessity. I don't consider it glamping especially in TX since the weather is either too cold or too hot. We usually eat things we can grill, steak, chops, shrimp, etc.

My wife and I hitch hiked thru the islands of Hawaii for 4 months. It was beach camping most of the time. We had a dragonfly stove--one burner. And our go-to meal involved a one pot with Thai Green Curry paste. No coconut milk. Just throw sausage and any kind of veg in. Very yummy. A lot of flavor.
just went camping this weekend and literally can't wait to do it again. luckily it didn't rain so we were good to use just the mesh for the top of our tent, and we got to look at the stairs whilst sleeping [our friends even brought an air mattress lol]. it was magical.
