I love seeing Henry become one of the crew. He’s reminding me of Mr. Brown when he was just a little guy. Seems like just yesterday he was being born in the car at the gas station! 🥰

Remember to include a loading dock in your new house plans. Many times I wished I’d had something like your porch to back a trailer or truck up to. 😊

The more I watch this, the more I like your family Jusin & Rebecca. When Jonah said “shouldn’t we stop” on noticing the car on fire on the side of the road, I thought wow, these kids have a genuine, caring mindset! Also, congratulations to Lily on the success of her jewellery at Homesteaders. Continued success… Steven

The rest areas in the west are different. Texas rest areas west of Dallas have great murals. Some in Arizona and New Mexico have no roofs. Montana and Idaho have steep metal roofs to shed the heavy snow, and are heated for refuge if stuck in winter storms.

Love this video…. Love all your videos…. One of the secrets for growing delicious fruits is WATER WATER WATER…. Wait until the weather has a cold snap in the fall before picking apples. It’s called “ snapping the apples” this is what brings a lot of the sweetness and juices that adds and finalizes all the taste into the apples. I remember picking apples on my grandpas apple orchard late into the fall time as a child. Frozen hands and fingers but man oh man, that guys was one of the best at growing delicious, sweet and tangy apples. And the apple cider was beyond words.

Not that you have the time to read comments here, but i have to say i believe , imho, the reason Gauchi's apples taste so wonderful& amazing is because he always acknowledges the Creator, constantly. Gratefulness brings happiness, he brims with this!!! I LOVE fish soup!! but I don't run a farm full of animals & you need a whole lot more calories for this & running with the kids on a trip when being cranky is the usual.

@6:08 Sounds like that blind test made a real impression on you. You could do something with that, try other things, your bacon vs organic store bacon, your milk, your vegetables. You could even make taste more of a priority when making decisions on what kinds of things to farm. I'll bet you can find somethings that you do better and some the store does better and that's valuable information even if you still choose your own, it simply makes you aware of what costs you are actually paying. Maybe doing it yourself is still better if it's only 10% less tasty, but some things aren't. Seems like the kind of long term investigation you like to do. Once per month do a taste test yours vs store. Sounds like fun.

    • @teresamariner4238
      @teresamariner4238 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Also, test nutrition of the store bought to the home grown. I buy organic, pasture raised eggs. My brother in law the standard, as he likes the jumbo eggs. But his yokes are pale yellow, mine are bright orange to deep orange, like the eggs from the chickens my Dad used to raise. To me that says they are the healthier option. Hopefully I can get my container garden going this coming spring. I rent so no digging. God bless.

It is better to sip water a little at a time to allow the body to absorb it into its cells. Drinking water fast or gluping, guzzling water makes the body dump it into the bladder because the body can only absorb so much at a time.
So if you find you drink water but eliminate it a lot, consider your method of drinking water.

I've been a sub to your channel for, I don't even remember how long, but I knew about you for longer due to my father.
I dont comment hardly on the people I watch, as I would imagine the same for a great deal of audience members throughout youtube. But this episode resonated with me, more than enough to actually express my opinion publicly.
Between how you and Becky traveled with the kids (though albeit I'm the one that usually drives), the little one falling asleep before getting on the main road.
The accident and wondering if we should pull over. Getting home and realizing how beautiful it is realizing what it is that you have.
But, what tipped the bucket is the part about paying for a farm sitter.
I realize that location vs viewing demographic is at play here. But my family and I would traveled, just to take care of your homestead at no cost to you. In fact, if I could support my family and work for you for free, I would gladly do so.
I'm going to stop here as it's not the place to ramble about personal info, but I wish I could email you guys to talk.
I saw I, because my wife doesn't really watch TH-cam, but she know about this channel and your family due the many aspirations I've mentioned over the years but have never really quite achieved.
Anyway, take care and God bless.
