Yes you’re right very underrated , it’s a very clever film and actually gives us confidence in confronting the stigma of real terrorism , by taking the piss out of this whole thing I found allowed us to move on from our own terrorist attacks in the uk , rather than being stuck in mourning forever which is how they want us to live in depression and sadness forever . I’m Muslim and I laughed so much at this that I cried , accidentally missile launching bin laden cave was the funniest scene for me 🇬🇧🇵🇰🇵🇰👌👍🙏🏼❤️😆

By the definition of a religion, Islam qualifies as one, as do all the other common world religions.
Now if you don’t believe in God or a particular religion, you can say that religion is false but you cannot disqualify it’s status as a religion.
You say “Warlord”, which has the connotation of being blood thirsty and quite literally “thirsty for war”, yet Islam explicitly states “Do not wish to encounter your enemy, but if you do fight with courage”, yet Islam prohibits Wars with nations that do not prosecute muslins, yet Islam prohibits the killing of all civilians, yet Islam prohibits the destruction of other religious places of worship......All of these conditions under times of War. Not even your Geneva convention, which most of your nations do not follow, has anything so strict in times of War.
Now for you to say Islam is made up, you have to disprove Islam, and I challenge you to do so.
Murders happen in War, the Middle Ages were periods of War, tribe vs tribe, religion vs religion, so Killing those trying to kill you is not anything wrong by any moral standards, unless you are completely pacifistic and against self defence???

The saddest part of the film for me seeing Huss enjoying life singing and dancing to the music and knowing he has no desire to kill himself but gravity is pulling him in a doomed direction.

The movie made me feel so bad for basically everybody but Barry.
Waj, Hass, and Faisal are all just caught up in something they don't really understand. Omar is a guy who is angry at injustice he sees in the world and finds all the wrong ways to express it, he even tries to back out before his wife pushes him back in by pointing out that if it isn't him leading the four of them Barry will and Barry literally wants to blow up a mosque.
So you can fk her but you can't kill her 😂

I love this film. Apparently Barry's character is based on a real bloke. He was a neo-nazi who read the Koran to insult Muslims better and accidentally converted himself.

i swear every english film based in yorkshire has become an instant classic. ill always enjoy the relationship between four lions and this is england, two movies based on two different points of view from two different sides.
It has to be said, though, that, like all Shane Meadows films, This is England was based in the north Midlands.

@@reality8315 Glad we have the legendary Chris Morris to make dark humoured things like this. He has experience for example brass eye, it was the same, very controversial but that's why it made it even better!
Talk suggesting the comedy world is at its most restrictive nowadays is simply untrue. People can make whatever jokes they want, it's the freeest time in the media it's ever been. The endless 'edgy' and 'banned' comedy nights on at the clubs are testament to that. Just because you might get criticism for making a bad taste joke doesn't mean it's censored.
The funniest bit was that these guys never gets flagged but the religious dudes minding their own business ends up in jail lol

I watched this only because of Riz Ahmed and because it was on Amazon prime which I got to watch his Sound of Metal. He's an amazing actor as seen in The night of and Nightcrawler. Deserves the limelight after Sound of Metal.
And as a Pakistani American, I found this movie was so laugh out loud funny. It's been 2 days and I'm still laughing at the movie.

It’s rarely shown on tv (at least in Australia).
There are too many terrorist items in the news for 4 Lions to be given an airing and not “cause offence” or, more likely, cause some nutbag fundament to bomb a studio. When there is a long break in the news cycle then it may get broadcast every few years - but they’d have to be brave, right? That’s my guess why you don’t see this film...also, once you dump some pc bollocks prevalent in the past few years on top of that - who is going to show it?
