Amazon Link Deal: LEKATO 2.4Ghz Stereo Wireless Guitar System with 1/4” & 1/8” Plugs for Musical Instruments Rechargeable Guitar Wireless Transmitter Receiver Cordless Electric Guiar Lead for Guitar Bass Keyboards amzn.eu/d/3bTJkza
I have both the Lekato WS-60 (2.4 GHz) and the WS-50 (5.8 GHz) they are both great. I also have the XVive U2 system, which was almost three times the price. Honestly, the Lekato is just as good, if not better. I have a few sets because they go flat, and I don't always remember to charge them. I don't use guitar leads for practice anymore. It's so liberating not tripping over guitar leads.
Yeah, even just at home for recording I don't have to constantly worry about either tripping over the leads or my chair running over them, way easier with these.
Nice video and review. I use similar little radio leads for messing around at home. One thing, these are stereo, that's really exciting for use with my Parker Fly. It's got piezo and mag pickups which can be sent to each side of its stereo jack. So with a Y splitter cable on the receiver I could run my Fly into two separate amps, or channels on my DAW. That'd be really cool. I need to check the prices of these . 😂
Same! I'm planning on using this for my Music Man Petrucci guitars that have stereo TRS output jacks for piezo / magnetic. I'll run them separately into two different inputs of my Fractal. Then I can switch between magnetic vs piezo or blend them with an expression pedal that blends the inputs of the Fractal.
My wireless system actually gave me a huge boost on stage. I could adjust the power going into the amp with a knob on the base! It worked like a power booster on a stereo system.
Given that its a stereo system, it's probably to be used at the end of pedalboard or any signal chain, or to pair up mixers or PA wirelessly. Will be helpful for DIY IEM systems as well and that default 3.5mm is really a nice feature, I am looking for exactly one of these. I'm happy that it exists and is very budget friendly option as of now. Lets see how we move on from here, maybe better shielding from interference or maybe 5.8ghz stereo!.
I got a similar set (but a wee bit cheaper) a few years ago. They work ok, but I noticed they did change the tone a wee bit on certain guitars and there were some strange noise I could hear (probably interference). I might try another set though and upgrade a bit.
Ah, interesting - I didn't notice any change in tone, as such with these, but there's a bit of interference that only seems to pop up when I've engaged my Metal Mode.
Ooh... this could work with my Rickenbacker bass's stereo output. I need to find a stereo cable to utilise it but I'm also wondering about going wireless...
Dunsy! I have Lekato ws 50 (5.8GHZ) I bought 2 sets, I use 1 transmitter paired with 2 receivers. 1 receiver plugged into MG 100HDFX Marshall stack on left and the 2nd receiver plugged into another MG 100HDFX Marshall stack on the right. No grounding humming noise Very COOL!! also I put lead ( guitar cable) from guitar to wah wah pedal input and output I put transmitter...very sweet...🎉
Ah, I wonder if I try the WS50 that noise will be gone? To be honest, I have so much stuff running at the one time here in my room, it's not overly surprising.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld It helps to not share electrical circuit. I have 1 stack plugged into it's own circuit, and 2nd Marshall stack plugged into it's own circuit. Hard to explain all neutrals and grounds terminate at panel, but it helps if amps don't directly share neutrals and grounds by plugged into the same circuit. That's for here in United States.
Great stuff Dunsy! 😃 Loved the Drop Tests - this is important stuff to know for the gigging musician 👍 I've also been trialing a Lekato wireless set - the WLS 70 i think. Claims to have
At some point I knew I would be dropping these in a live or rehearsal situation, so figured I'd best get it oot of the way early to make sure they worked! Yeah, I'm not sure if I was playing anything super quick chordy wise that there would be an issue with these. But my rather pedestrian blues licks worked perfectly. Well, as perfectly as I usually execute them, lol.
Morning dunsey they look pretty cool . And I think you be able to go about 30 feet away maybe even a bit more . I have a cheap wireless set and I can get up to a hundred feet away . Thanks for sharing 👍
Been using similar units - not Lekato branded, but every chance they're from the same factory - for quite a few years now (ever since the UHF bandwidth my old Nady worked on was banned in Oz). Never had a problem until my original set died after 4 or 5 years, and now I'm using a 5.8GHz set, which are even better. (I'm hearing people complain that with 2.4, there's the likelihood of interference from the bluetooth on punters' phones, tho I've never encountered it...) Even if I never move away from the mic on stage, the wank factor is worth every cent!
Oh, an' here's a wee tip for ye: get (or make) yerself a link cable a metre or so long, so ye can put the transmitter in yer back pocket on stage and no have it hangin' oot the geetar lookin' weird.
I bought a 5.8GHz set a few years ago. Mostly because I kept damaging cables with the wheels on my office chair! 5.8GHz is supposedly better that 2.4GHz for noise but I have no reference. I've not noticed any problems though. Perhaps Lekato might be willing to gift you a 5.8 GHz set for a side by side comparison? The only problem I have encountered was with an old germanium fuzz pedal that liked to "see" the guitar and wouldn't play nicely with the wireless. It turned out I didn't like the fuzz that much anyway!
I'm not that into fuzz either - always sounds great when other folks use it, but it sounds like my amp is broken when I do! Yeah, 100%, the one thing that I've found best with these is that I'm not forever trying to move the wheels on my studio chair over leads. And almost doing myself an injury at the same time, lol!
Interesting. Looks like they are £39 on Amazon now! My only real concern was are they a little bulky? Did you feel like you were going to hit them on the furniture? Also how long does the charge last?
tbh they didn't feel it was bulky at all and didn't get in the way - battery life is 5 hours on a full charge. You can charge both at the same time with the same cable.

A question though , what battery life do they have? How long can they be used for? Thanks In Advance. 😊
Cheers Andrew - I believe that these last for 5 hours on a full charge. So much easier just having the one cable to charge both. Excellent piece gear.

Great insightful video. I've always been concerned about latency issues but it seems that I should not be any longer. Cheers.
Cheers Steve. Yeah, no issue with latency as far as I could hear in any test I did.
My wireless system actually gave me a huge boost on stage. I could adjust the power going into the amp with a knob on the base! It worked like a power booster on a stereo system.
Ah, sweet! This one is just set at one volume, but I might see if they have one with a boost.

This is an awesome review. Well shared.👍👍👍

I’m waiting for the spinal tap moment 🍿
I think he's safe there, there's no air force base near the Auld Grey...

Cool Review Dunsy! How's the latency? Cheers!
Cheers Francis - I didn't notice any issue at all with latency. Seemed to be perfect to me - and I'm quite slow myself these days!
@@DunsysGuitarWorld Cool Brother, I just pick up a set of Joyo JW-03 I will be trying them out.

Great piece of gear, for sure. Much less bother than using leads.
I don’t know if you changed the pickups in that Orville, but it sounds amazing!
Bridge has been changed out to a Tonerider Rocksong. Really cool pickups for the price.
What a fantastic video have a wonderful day dunsy also what is your favorite season ❤😊
Thank you my friend, much appreciate. I prefer summer. Even in Scotland it's a wee bit warmer!

They seem quite nifty. How long does the charge last?
Spotted the blurb. 5hrs 👍🏼👍🏼
1:41 and 2:12 The 3.5mm to 6.5mm converters are not stereo - how is that sensible?

👍🏻👍🏻
is 5gz worth it?
Never tried the 5G version, tbh, but a couple of folks have said that they find it a bit better than this one.
