That giant Big Chap in the middle of the room is incredible. That's by far the best design in my opinion. Later installments try to make the Xeno more animalistic, but it's scarier when it's closer to human proportions.
Thank you. I see it the same way. I also think the creature design from the 1979 ALIEN movie is the best. However, for this very reason, it's hard to find a figure or statue that faithfully captures it. From my collection, the large Prime1 statue reflects Giger’s legacy both in pose and quality. I would also mention the Kotobukiya ArtFX Alien statue, which, while much smaller, has a very film-accurate appearance in a similar pose.
For me, the Prometheus and Alien: Covenant storyline didn’t really work. That's why collecting relics from these films is only minimally present. I find it incomprehensible why they destroyed the mystery of the Space Jockey from the first Alien film by turning it into a bio-suited, short humanoid species...
Amazing collection ! I don´t know if you have these pieces, but i strongly suggest you get Hot Toys Classic and Original Predator. The recent reissue of Neca 1/4 Jungle Hunter is a must get too.
Good show, hot toys Neca and movie maniacs. I was kind of sad there was no retro stuff. Micro machines playset, Kenner figures even the 10' scale two packs. Or there was this small scale figure line I don't know who made it but it was for the AvP film and it had all the main predators and aliens. Don't know the name, I think they were snap kits or just small toys🤔🤔🤔
Thank you. I got into collecting in 2005, back when Movie Maniacs was dominant and available. The smaller figures and statues didn’t, and still don’t, have a big impact on me. I think the basic figures from McFarlane Toys and Neca are acceptable in size, and therefore have sufficient detail. The Kenner line, in many cases, doesn’t appeal to me in terms of theme and design. Neca did a smart job refreshing them, but even so, I’ve only seen the Alien figures as ones that fit into my collection. Those fantasy Predators and the alternative versions of Ripley, Vasquez, Apone, etc., presented by the canceled animation (which Kenner drew from) fall outside my interest.
@@netorem9023 fair enough. You like what you like. The hyper realistic of it all. I remember owning those movie maniacs, I started in 2004 with the AvP line. I have to say for me personally I find it hard with the same figure retooled by a different companies approach to give us basically the same figure with accessories. I think this is why I like the stylized approaches and variants to figures.
Great collection! It sucks that no one ever made a working Joe figure.
If I got all those wondeful toys I would invest in a nice camera, a macro objective and start making fan films!!!
This looks better than a museum!
Epic collection and really well setup 🔥
