- Friendly Indian man in Bangalore invites me for breakfast and won't let me pay for this delicious dosa meal. As a foreigner experiencing India I was once again impressed with local hospitality. A real South Indian dish in the state of Karnataka.

Karnataka has some extraordinary temples. Hoysaleshwara temple in Halebidu is beautifully sculpted temple, you wonder how they built without lathe machines over 1,000 years ago. If you go to Maharashtra, visit Kailasa temple, it is a wonder of the world. How they did it without bulldozers, Jack hammers, etc. If you like sculpture, temples are the places to see, took generations to build some, as you know invaders got to many, because images are not allowed in their religion.
