Good Point Alex, at one point Vegeta couldn't even beat Android 18. He has come a long way and even now admitting Goku is the best is such character development for him. We love it. Keep the reactions coming along Guys

Something I find interesting about SSJ3 that also makes me curious is how much more effective the form is when Goku was an Angel because it definitely seems much harder to hold the form physically alive, it's an interesting prospect I don't see mentioned often

I know for a fact that during his fight with Majin Vegeta he says that training in the afterlife is easier than training while alive since he doesn't have to worry about exhaustion, and that he was surprised that Vegeta was able to keep up with him in terms of power despite not having that advantage.

That previous fight between Vegeta and Kid Buu was filler in the manga this is when Vegeta actually steps in.

I know the power scaling can get confusing in this arc, so here is a *detailed explanation* (and reminder) of the power scaling of the different Buu forms. Hopefully it clarifies things for you guys!🙏🏼 (it’s long, but worth reading I promise!!)
*Fat Buu*
Against Fat Buu, ssj2 Majin Vegeta was able to land good hits, but still was easily beaten once Buu actually tried. Against Goku as ssj3, Goku clearly had the advantage, and we saw Buu’s attacks didn’t really hurt Goku. And Goku admitted later he could have probably destroyed Fat Buu then, if he really tried.
Let’s also note here that Goku was also teaching the boys the Fusion technique at this point, because he was sure the boys would become strong enough to beat the Fat Buu he just fought as a ssj3, as a fused *super saiyan 1.* This means he thinks the fusion would be around his level at least to be able to beat Fat Buu. This is important for later..
*Super Buu*
Once Buu transformed, Piccolo is shocked that they have never encountered anything as powerful as this, and thinks that they need a miracle for ssj1 Gotenks to be enough. Then Gotenks trains in the Time Chamber, and they become so much more powerful that Piccolo becomes hopeful even before Gotenks transforms into ssj1 (remember Piccolo didn’t know Gotenks could transform mid fusion).
Obviously base Gotenks wasn’t enough for Super Buu, but the point is that now ssj1 Gotenks is also MUCH stronger than he was before, and if he wasn’t originally already, now he definitely is as strong, if not stronger than ssj3 Goku. And as we all know, Gotenks becomes much *much* stronger than even that by transforming into ssj3 himself. Against Super Buu though, ssj3 Gotenks is only on par with him. In other words, the power scaling is greatly above Goku’s level already at this point.
This is further illustrated by the fact that when Goku and Vegeta ripped the absorbed people out, and Buu reverted back to base Super Buu (same one Gotenks fought), Goku stops and says they cannot go out of Buu yet, because even though Buu became weaker, Super Buu is still stronger than either of them and will kill them. And thus he suggests the fusion dance to Vegeta, which the latter declines.
*(Buuccolo), Buutenks & Buuhan*
If Super Buu is already strong enough to make Goku not even wanna try to fight him without fusion, obviously the much stronger fused versions of Buu are all far stronger than Goku too. But here are some important notions:
1. As Super Buu and ssj3 Gotenks were both already above Goku, of course their combination Buutenks is far above Goku as well
2. When Buutenks reverted to Buuccolo, Goku said to Gohan there was no need to fuse anymore (with the Potara earrings) as *Gohan* could now beat Buu again. Goku says this as he powers down to base right in front of Buuccolo. This was mistranslated in the anime where Goku implies he could beat Buuccolo as well, but in the manga Goku mentions Gohan specifally. This obviously means both Buuccolo and Gohan are stronger than Goku.
3. Ultimate Gohan by himself is far above Goku, as he is stronger than both Super Buu and ssj3 Gotenks; we see Gohan demolish base Super Buu. So it is a basic equation that Super Buu + Gohan (+ the few others) aka Buuhan is also way beyond Goku.
4. Against Buuhan, Goku was so desparate for any kind of power increase that he was ready to fuse with *Mr. Satan…*
5. It Required Potara fusion to fight against both Buutenks and Buuhan, there was no other way of fighting them
*Kid Buu*
Finally we get to the final form. While still incredibly powerful, we can see from Kid Buu’s performance that he has become much weaker, to the point Goku is able to fight against him as a ssj3 again. Despite the never ending regeneration, Goku is able to at least affect Kid Buu with his attacks, and Goku’s whole mentality was that ”he has a chance” to beat this Buu by himself, which was not the case against even Base Super Buu. Even Vegeta lands couple of blows, which he managed to do only against Fat Buu.
Kid Buu’s regeneration is the main problem Goku has during this fight, like you guys said, but power wise the fight is manageable once again. Goku is even sure he can finish Buu if he manages to release his 100% power all at once at Buu. Of course we don’t see this in action, as his power charging goes how it goes..
It is worth noting though, that unlike Fat Buu, Kid Buu is actually having the advantage against Goku and toying with him, is able to damage Goku, and Goku actually admits they underestimated Kid Buu and they probably should have fused after all. So Kid Buu is stronger than Fat Buu for sure. But the difference between the power of ssj3 Gotenks and ssj3 Goku is huge, and Super Buu was on par with Gotenks, while Kid Buu was only slightly above Goku and mostly just outlasting him thanks to the regeneration, so with this, it is clear even base Super Buu is much stronger than Kid Buu. And Goku’s canon manga reactions and comments around base Super Buu, Buuccolo and Kid Buu go along with that very consistently. Had they brought Gohan / Gotenks to fight Kid Buu, the fight would have been over fast.
The filler scenes + mistranslations of the anime do make this more complicated than it actually is, but the true story is very clear in the manga. It was a _plot_ move; Kid Buu was powerwise toned down version of Buu, so that the main character Goku would be able to fight him in an epic finale. That is also why the plot left all the stronger characters on Earth to die when Kid Buu blew it up, and the fight is taking place far away from earth so nobody can interfere in any way.

I LOVE Goku's heart and spirit in this battle, his refusal to just back down and die, the fact he's running on empty, but STILL manages to transform back up to SSJ3 by going up a level at a time in less fhan a few seconds, and Vegeta having given that heartfelt, wholesome inner monologue to Goku in the previous episode, this is just pure animated gold 🥰 glad you guys enjoy this :)

He didn't take a beating vs Goku. That was a few strikes in Kaioken x3, and then Vegeta transformed and gave Goku a beating.
I heard it was because Vegeta was Toriyama least favorite character or is one of his least favorite characters, but I could be wrong.

NOTHING in the manga supports Kid Boo. Not a single piece of scaling data. While in the anime, only 1-2 lines support Kid Boo, and those were filler! The rest of the anime follows the manga script, which is strictly Super Boo > Kid Boo in raw power, several times over.
There is only a single character stated to weaken Boo from absorption, and that was Dia Kai. He was mentioned by name in the manga as the absorption that caused Boo to become weaker. Not even South Kai.
Bootenks outright said he was the strongest boo in history. As he finally bypassed the level Buff Boo was.
Goku directly said he stood no chance against Super Boo without fusion, and refused to even try without fusing. Then for Kid Boo was certain right through the end that his ssj3 had the capability to destroy Kid Boo. Certain enough to allow Vegeta to risk everything to buy him the time needed.
People like to mentioned the “ki increasing” statement after the Good Boo pod was pulled. But that statement was given for the BUFF Boo form. Before he regressed into Kid Boo.
One moment Goku says no to fighting Super Boo, is shitting his pants to Buff Boo, and then Is eager to fight Kid Boo and says he can win even after fighting. Even referring to Boo as “on his own now too”. All of which implies a huge drop in power from Buff Boo to Kid Boo.
Buff Boo > Super Boo > Kid Boo. Hell, Super Boo is even visually designed as the middle ground between Buff Boo and Kid Boo.
Goku was very pleased at the thought of having Gohan come to fight Kid Boo. And also said when the fusion split that GOHAN can now beat Booccolo without then having to fuse.
People also like to mentioned the Genki Dama as evidence since Kid Boo was able to stop it. But for one, there’s nothing saying Super Boo wouldn’t have been able to do the same or better. And two, the ONLY reason Kid Boo managed that was because of Gokus remaining power wasn’t strong enough to throw the bomb hard enough. The manga was very clear on that. The issue was Gokus remaining power, not the bomb itself. Not to mention the genki dama was made of genki, which is only one component to raw battle ki, and not all of Gohans or the kids battle power was in the bomb, only their genki. Further supported by the fact Gohans entire group including him were only in their BASE forms. Not in Ultimate, not in SSJ, and not fused. And you cannot access the power of an advanced form you are not in, so therefore the full battle battle of the form was not in the bomb.
Even with basic scaling.
Goku needed ssj3 to even attempt to fight Fat Boo. Then Super Boo came along and at a severely suppressed level, less than 1/8 his max (based on the standard ssj multipliers and the fact that ssj3 gotenks was equal to Super Boo), was able to display more power than Fat Boo.
For Goku to be at even the level of Super Boo, it would mean his normal Ssj form would have been above Fat Boo, as well as Ssj Gotenks. Which clearly is not the case.
Basically if you are claiming Kid Boo to be above Super Boo, you are indirectly saying Ssj Goku > post training Ssj Gotenks, despite the fact pre training Ssj Gotenks was Fat Boo tier.
The dialogue in this ep is quite confusing, the dub took a lot of liberties. In the manga Goku had tried to put Buu down with everything he had right from the beginning. Also Vegeta jumps into action for the first time when he tries to buy Goku time to recover.
Exactly💯 people use the ”I wanted Vegeta to have a shot” as an argument all the time even though it’s not even what Goku actually said in the manga lol

Instead, when Vegeta states Goku should be able to destroy Buu with ssj3, Goku says that is what he had been trying to do already, but wasn’t able to pull it off. Then he goes off about charging his ki and then releasing it all at once.
So instead of stating he was holding back for Vegeta, in the manga he was actually going all out from the start and still failed to beat Buu the traditional way

if you consider dbz filler kid buu may be stronger than superbuu, but that means Goku's power is inconsistent. if you really wanted to make an argument for Kid buu being stronger than super buu, just look at Buutenks vs ssj 3 goku. In the manga there is no debate Superbuu would absolutely annihilate kid buu no questions asked. However Ssj3 goku had a harder time against Buutenks (which was a filler fight, but you could tell if that fight had kept up, Goku would of died) than kidbuu. But Goku did say kidbuu was "twice as strong as before" which may be an exaggeration, but buutenks was already double superbuu, so all you are left with is that kid buu is Ultimate Gohan level (more likely) or buutenks level, and ssj 3 goku is slightly stronger than he was against buutenks, which is why they are now even, which means current ssj3 goku would be stronger than ultimate gohan, this is plausible if you consider base vegito to be buuhan level (even before ssj) in the manga however vegito went ssj right away which suggest's he was no where near buuhan level in base (in the manga).
so in theory Anime Buuhan> Buff Buu > Buutenks>= Kid Buu = ssj3 goku current > Ssj3 Goku against Buutenks = ultimate Gohan > Super buu > Fat buu > evil buu > good buu.
Manga Buuhan > Buutenks > Ultimate Gohan > super buu = ssj3 Gotenks > fat buu (true power) > buff buu > kid buu = ssj3 goku = to evil buu > than fat buu supressed against ssj3 goku > good buu

In terms of strength between the Buus, Buuhan > Buutenks > Buuloco > Super Buu > Buff Buu > Kid Buu = Grey Buu > Fat Buu.
Couple of mistakes. Buff Buu is stronger than Super Buu, as Buu’s strength increased when he transformed into Buff Buu for a second, before then reverting to Kid Buu.
Second one is Kid Buu vs Grey Buu. Kid Buu is way stronger than Grey Buu. When Fat Buu split into good and evil, their power split too; grey Buu got more of the power in that split, but Grey Buu is weaker than the original Fat Buu who had both Good and Evil side in him. And as we know, Kid Buu is stronger than the original Fat Buu
@@grydon6422No he got it right because super buu has both Kai’s in him but unlike fat buu his body is sculpted perfectly for fighting. Buff buu only has 1 Kai’s influence which is weaker than the dai kiaoshen because buu would’ve took the buff appearance instead of the fat one as the dominant influence
Only mistake was fat buu was stronger than evil buu before the split then evil buu took the larger half of power
