@@richardmejia254 - that is the logical move. Castleton doesn't have the skillset (offensively or defensively) to help this Laker squad. The sole reason that he is on the roster is that he is 6'10" and taking up space (as he did all night at last night's game). When a players takes very few shots (as Stu mentioned during the last performance), usually it means that he is a Defensive Dawg that impaces play (see Vando). Castleton isn't that and the hope that during the summer that he worked on increasing his "Package" hasn't been effective. Hopefully the Lakers will give him money to have a nice flight to Europe in search of a team to play on

We have a lot of guards, but JHS and Bronny are unplayable at this point, and Dlos expiring contract will likely be traded by the deadline..Gabe is barely playable himself at this point. Quincy can play pt guard so he would make Dlo + Gabe expendable in a trade... Olivari could potentially be the backup pg to AR at some point
no… he isn’t replacing either of them. but if any of them get injured, i trust quincy over jhs at the very least.

If Quincy is not a Laker on Tuesday on a two-way it is the culmination of years of horrendous front office bungling. Really the fact we have to cut one of the two-way bigs is already a massive failure. Handing out extra player options to vet min guys crushing our souls here. Quincy must stay.
For real. This is "last straw" territory for Rob. To quote Les Grossman, he can "literally F his own face" if he f's this up. Passing on Whitmore in the draft this year, letting Hinson go, and going 0-6 in the offseason (absolute failure), and then you pass on this unexpected shining gift of a player? Yeah... that's grounds for fans revolting and forcing his ass out of town.

I was not losing it like everybody else was after the comeback against MIL’s C-team but, this game he showed a lot. Anybody with a brain should understand that the loss doesn’t matter at all. We were playing end of the bench guys mostly against GSW’s LITERAL rotation minus Steph. That being said though, Quincy was the only guy who looked like he was supposed to be on the court with other NBA caliber players. Quincy has played with more poise and assuredness than basically the entire bottom half of our rotation, including the undeserving hype train that is Max Christie. It’s not outside of the realm of possibility to think that he could impact winning this year.
The play that did it for me was him at the top of the right wing, Cam is calling for the ball and Q waves him off to the top of the left wing, he then calls for a screen, rejects the screen with a left to right crossover, gets downhill, cam’s defender starts crashing down to the paint and Q kicks it out for an open look to Cam. THAT play did it for me. He’s good enough to get minutes on this team.
Castleton or max Lewis need to go I’ve seen enough. JHS is a close runner up
They need to make a package around AR to upgrade the wing or center. Lakers have enough depth at the guard position Dlo, Max, Vincent, Knecht, Olivari, and bronny. Lakers need a legit starting 3 or 5
Other than DK4 he has been the best young player on the Lakers. It's crazy if they let him go

If they have to cut someone and go over the 2nd aprin to sign him, it might just be worth it. He looks like a solid bench scorer, and I'm not the most optimistic for this season. Long term, he's proven to be worth the investment so far.
I think he did most of his damage (19pts) in the first half against their starters. He shared the floor with 5 other guys with active roster spots (Bronny, Cam, Hayes, JHS, Lewis) and looked better than all of them. Thats also concerning. Nonetheless cant let Q walk.
Trevor's interviews made me a fan before I ever seen him hoop & now ima super fan. We have to find a way to retain him. It'll take some of the sting off for drafting JHS & Lewis & losing Prince

When you find a player like Quincy Olivari YOU FIND A WAY TO KEEP HIM! Even if its on your G league team and you end up moving him up over your 2 way players in mid season. This guy can play, you aren't going to find a young minimum salary player like Quincy he's got game and he's got heart. Losing Olivari would be like losing Howard AND McGee after the championship season when both of them would have come back for a small raise like 2M per year more. Trade JHS and Maxwell Lewis for some mediocre player from another team where you can now offer Olivari a minimum salary.
He is on the team.. 2 way so they will. Get him a spot down the line

It's more than obvious that Koloko should be waived. Isn't it possible to waive and stretch Wood and/or cam reddish to create space to keep Quincy
I think it only makes sense to trade Maxwell Louis, JHS or Cam Radish and get a free roster spot that way. Right now we only have Hayes next to AD as a big, Koloko is not cleared, I believe we have to keep Castleton. With Vando being out and Cam Radish being Cam Radish the team should also keep Traore. And I suppose they want to keep Koloko, if/ when he's cleared it should be a big think for the Lakers. So I say they attach a 2nd round pick and move one of those players they know for sure we could not use at all.

Keep Quincy without question. He's shown he can produce on the floor consistently. Unfortunately, then they need to waive Castleton. In 2 years, he still has not shown what was anticipated. Or waive Koloko who the league has not cleared.
They need find out about koloko… he’s just a waste of space of he isnt cleared. Great pick up if he does get cleared otherwise waive him.
Traore has more upside than Castleton, giving Quincy his 2 way spot is a no brainer.
Also seeing as how Koloko is yet to be cleared to play, we could also just waive him, though the upside is still there compared to Colin. Either way this is an easy choice
