Here are the top 3 AI 🤖upscalers I have found so far for 2023 and 2024 that are completely free, no strings attached. These are my go to options when I want to turn my 800x800 pixel image into a 20,000 by 20,000 image and get insane quality. Do you have a favorite upscaler that you think should of been in this video? Leave it in the comments so myself and the community can compare the results. 😀
I created 11 months ago that does this for free, check out this video th-cam.com/video/yv4J4orS-SY/w-d-xo.html and jump to 8min and 48sec in that video to see what results you can get from reintroducing noise by upping the denoise strength and using control net tiles preprocessor to reference the washed out images colors and frame. If you like what you see with the Playstation 1 game upscaled then go back and watch the video. It's actually a video about unlimited resolution upscaling using control net tiles preprocessing but it's useless to upscale a washed out image so i came up with this about a year ago. They now have comfyui workflows that can do this easily, just check out videos from olivio sarikas about it. Just upload the workflow to comfy and then upscale your pics and ignore the spaghetti nodes that make comfyui scary to use. You can also use try leonardo ai that has a free imaginative upscaler, but it's very new and developing.
Yeah, I use the UltraSharp model in Upscayl locally 90% of the time as it's fast and produces good results most of the time. There are local workflows than can produce better results (e.g. - using Supir in ComfyUI) but they're more complicated to set up and take longer to process.
Yup, I've always used Ultrasharp. Only down side is the license restrictions if you plan to sell any of your images. IDK how anyone can prove what time of upscaler you use though. I never figured that one out.
@@ArtificallyIntelligentAi They can't prove anything...at least not yet. If you're paranoid I guess you could just strip all the metadata which is easy to do. Maybe at some point they'll start using sophisticated watermarking tech, but until then I think they just hope that everyone will respect their licensing restrictions (no commercial use).
To be honest I know of a few free video upscalers like WaifuXL 2x and some other options on hugging face but they don't come close to the quality of the paid options like TopazLabs and Adobe unfortunately. I'm actually surprised I haven't seen a good free video upscaler yet. Maybe someone in the comments can recommend one to try?

I can recommend upscayl I use it all the time. It works really well. Thanks for the video.
Keep making content for us bro
I am mostly interested in creative upscaling.... any suggestions?

You got to check right?
Can I have a tutorial on how to upscale a video?
