They don’t acknowledge it in story mode at least in the us version. In the final mix one I think there’s a few more cutscenes. You did great here, Will; this kind of thing doesn't surprise me for the simple reason I already know you're beast at this :) I can't do this tactic because I don't got Dodge Roll; I got Quick Run instead and I don't use it lol Personally, on the PS2 version, I let myself get damaged when I battle Sephiroth; I prefered using all my MP Rage abilities and I kept using Reflega's aftertouch to stun Seph and do a ton of damage, then doing a flurry of Horizontal Slashes in midair Literally, the only thing Reflega didn't reflect was his HP/MP Waste attack that brings everything down to 1 HP/0 MP, and if you're watching his teleports you don't have to worry cuz you can just hit him lol Just thought I'd add an easier alternative. Pack a lot of elixirs; you don't wanna be left hanging.
I am trying critical mode for the first time, I am at level 99, I have the Ultima Weapon, maxed out my AP, strength, and defense thanks to boosts, have all my abilities equipped, customized my Thundaga, Reflega, Curaga, and elixir for shortcuts, I'm stocked on elixirs and accessories, and yet I still can't beat this guy or avoid taking damage. Timing my friends, it is all about timing.
Sora never learns when it comes to shouting at friends who are fighting and need to concentrate. Especially since also in KH2FM he gets Jack stabbed during a fight

Please tell me how you can consistently avoid his instant teleport upper slash attack? Its way too fast for me to actually react too, and it is way too dangerous to try and pre-empt it because of his other two attacks. That attack is literally the only reason he has beaten me 50 times now, and I've killed Sephiroth plenty of times before on PS2 and PS3. I feel like the 60fps makes him harder.
WillJV2 where he knocks you into the air. It's just too fast to react too, i beat him by equipping retaliating slash and attacking him after I take the hit
Oh ok that's what I was going to recommend. But in the first phase I can predict it. When he does it normally he will teleport twice back to back. When he teleports it usually leaves a little orb behind or whatever you want to call it but he will do that twice before using it. You can also hear him teleport twice then you can predict and react to it. In the final phase I just react to it because it's faster like you said. You probably would have a better time by leveling up limit form and your dodge roll.
Yes finally found someone who pretty much beat him how I did when I was twelve. Everyone else you can tell they beat him on easy... I remember having to flawlessly beat him cause he would kill me in two hits. Awesome vid man

Advent Children is him dealing with several traumas all at once that wouldn't be so bad if his mental state wasn't so bad due to having a Meteor-sized inferiority complex. He mopes about failing to stop Sephiroth from killing Aerith, his adopted son is dying coz of a disease he himself is now dying of, all projections of what he constantly feels as failing Tifa. Cloud constantly lives thinking of himself as a worthless failure. Something most of us deal with. And that voice that tells us how much we suck? That's Sephiroth. But Tifa in turn is his motivation to keep going.

K-Fly bro the whole point of the opening to this game is that sora was getting his memories put back together by namine. remember how in hundred acre woods sora remembers pooh but pooh doesnt remember sora? the sephiroth thing is a clear oversight
Actually the Pooh case is because some of the pages got torn out while he was inside the book which affected Pooh's memories

after beating the secret episode in the KH3 DLC this fight looks like nothing to me
KH2 has more style and tighter combat. KH3 is cliche dragon balls fighting. Hardly comparable.
Doing this fight bare bones on the original version (proud) lol not as easy with all the abilities.

You should play Kingdom hearts it's an amazing game, we see a bunch of ff characters such as Selphie Wakka Titus Leon... you will love the game watch a video to play it with pcsx2 emulator 😉
Since no one bothered explaining it: Cloud and other FF characters are in the story, but this fight is optional
But they're AU versions of the original FF counterparts, hence why Leon is an adult rather than a teenager and other such changes.

Also, for those wondering why Tifa is Cloud's light as Sephiroth is his darkness, instead of Aerith: play the original again.
Look and see how much of Cloud's psyche revolves around Tifa. His need to be stronger, and his criteria for considering himself a shameful failure can be summed up with three words: I failed Tifa."
Tifa is not just some childhood girl he had a crush on. She was EVERYTHING to him, including his sense of self-worth, and it just intensified after he failed to save her from Mt. Nibel and her father and the townsfolk unfairly blamed him for it.
Advent Children is him dealing with several traumas all at once that wouldn't be so bad if his mental state wasn't so bad due to having a Meteor-sized inferiority complex. He mopes about failing to stop Sephiroth from killing Aerith, his adopted son is dying coz of a disease he himself is now dying of, all projections of what he constantly feels as failing Tifa.
Cloud constantly lives thinking of himself as a worthless failure. Something most of us deal with. And that voice that tells us how much we suck? That's Sephiroth. But Tifa in turn is his motivation to keep going.
This fight looks so good remastered, did they add a new voice lines?
