The interview only lasts 20- 30 mins . So it would comical for you to not be able to abstain from touching your husband for such a short. Besides the interview is a serious process, because they are asking you questions. It is not the time nor the venue for extreme PDA ( public display of affection). Me and my just got visa for her and my step daughter to come to the US. We was at the embassy in Dominican Republic the guy told us they were the number one country for marriage fraud. He asked us how long we’ve been together and we both said 2 years. He looked through my passport saw that I’ve been visiting her every month he ended the interview and said you will be notified within 10 to pick up your visa. BTW Congratulations on your Marriage. Most states don’t send you a new license when you update your address with DMV. They file it internally only til the license is up for renewal, which can be years. This officer needs to rethink how they interview people
You are right, however, a red flag for a different address with a significant other doesn't mean the officer will automatically reject an application, it begins an investigation to see if the person applying is in a bonafide marriage. There are a lot of fake marriages out there.

Pics of our family together, out and about with friends and family, family trips hiking. That sort of thing. He got his green card in about a year. At this point he can go for full citizenship but as of right now is a permanent resident.
How can driver’s licenses between the USC and foreign spouse match when most states require USCIS to have done all of their processing before a person can get a driver’s license?! It’s like a waiter asking to see how a chef made your meal without even having brought you the menu then saying, “Aha! Gotcha! My assumption is this; when you begin the process of becoming a US citizen, you are initially given a work permit so that you may work during the time that your application is being evaluated since the entire process can take about 3 years. With said work permit, you can then apply to get a DL which would have the address where you would be residing at while in the US. The marriage interview doesn't take place right away, which in theory would give you enough time to get that work permit, apply for a DL, and then have the interview where you'd show the DL.
@@Ermac97 you’re assuming this draconian paperwork processes in a linear fashion. Mine skipped to the interview and approved green card. The EAD/AP never processed. Even after the i485 approved, they still showed as being reviewed for the EAD and a receipt having been sent for the AP. Also meaning that because I applied for an SSN on the I765 that never got approved, that I need to apply to the SSA directly and then go get a real ID when I have both the GC and SSN.
You don’t get a work permit automatically, you have to apply for that as well. It can take up to 9 months to get an approval on it. Also, if someone already lives in to U.S on a visa, they can easily get a DL with the same address. There are States where someone could apply for a DL with a tourist visa. Plus, USCIS and DMV used to let people to get a DL even just with a pending application! They changed this rule last year, so before that, it was possible to have a DL!

The state where I reside also does not allow a person without a social security number (which was part of my EAD/AP application at the time of submission). Unfortunately, there are states that make any movement forward very inconvenient for new immigrants.

We talked a lot, and spent some time together. He was in his mid 30s and was ready to settle down. For us there was a lot of transparency which required us to be vulnerable. We we very honest- I asked straightforward questions and so did he. He showed consistency and is an awesome man. He truly love me and my family. I get along with my MIL and his siblings. You just have to be decerning, prayerful, and ask a lot of questions. We are going on four years and we love it! Many more years to come!

There are people legally skipping line for a marriage green card but it won’t work for most people. The American spouse is using their parents address because the parents live in the middle of nowhere or a town with very few people. The American spouse may or may not be living there. Address isn’t always a problem for spouses but many people wouldn’t want to live in the middle nowhere.

We met 12/2022. Engaged 4/2023. Married 6/2023. Live together off and on about 8 out of 15 months - I commute back and forth PH to USA to continue my farm work. Most people don’t change their drivers license until it expires, they don’t bother updating the drivers license address just because they moved into their spouse’s house
not true. most states allow you to do this online. USCIS has access to that info and database, but YOU should bring proof. don't leave this up to USCIS because it can delay your approval for months

I use my parents home address still because I rent property. Most mail is delivered there as well for safety and visiting. Same for my partner with his mother’s address. It would be far in the future for us to have set and same home address.

Only if you crossed the border by foot then you need to file a waiver and go back for interview. If you don’t get approved for the waiver then you are stuck, but since he is becoming a USC you will be okay. If you came by plane then you are okay once he becomes a USC.
I'm a legal immigrant from Latin America. After the last news on politics I just don't know... my advice if you live in a "ok" country stay there, if you don't... try Canada, Asia or pacific... some parts of Europe maybe (but it's very problematic there anyway). Just don't come to America, you're going to stress a lot. A LOT.
From the perspective of couples already in the USA, #2 and #3 are wrong. Many couples are very affectionate, they have great relationships and they may be nervous, it is perfectly normal, just be GENUINE. It is a proven fact that housing is extremely expensive in all states. If a couple cannot figure out their living conditions despite having enough household income, any reasonable officer will understand, just prove it. For couples outside the USA (pursuing K1 Visa for example), showing plenty of affectionate evidence (photos, trips together, the “sharing” of literally anything) is a huge PLUS, not a minus. And don’t worry, they know what genuine couples do, behave, and look just by checking at the sheer amount of data you will give them anyway. Having different addresses is expected, with special emphasis on the foreigner knowing exactly what the address of their love one is in the USA, among other commonalities.

That potential employee is A RED FLAG to your law firm. The Driver License itself can be logically explain, especially one of the couples lives or lived on the other State. Over touching or both are over expressive to each other during interview, but if they see couple who are both focus on the interview and no holding hands, they will look at it as suspicious anyway. That’s why I am a firm believer on lawsuit where I everyone can present evidence meticulously, and can articulate events thoroughly.

No you do not pay a penalty but customs May question her because she stayed out too long even after COVID was finished. I think she should be okay. Next time don’t forget to apply for a re-entry permit if you are planning to stay more than 6 months.

I walked away from being engaged when I found out not only the guy was here illegally, he was being protected by the priest of my church and I was disgusted by being left in the dark of 3 yrs I wasted getting to know him and didn't know. And not only did I find out he had a visa and went to school in U.S when the one who paid to send him to this country passed away, he didn't feel he was "obligated to go through all the red tape and paper work to get legalized citizenship. Not only that he was in financial debt and didn't finish the college stuff. I found out I would then not only have to pay to sponsor him, but also pay off his education debt, amd I found out he was in U.S and those like him were working under the table under the radar for less pay amd more hours, while disabled and lower class Americans born here were being passed over, getting laid off and not getting jobs because the factory like many unionized ones and retail were in on this and I was appalled and disgusted. And additionally finding out I'd have to not only pay off his student debt, I'd have to handle the financial burden of him working here illegally. I said nope, no way in heck was I going to end up in Poverty and go as one would say into being a pulper, bankrupt, would have to sell so much and more for his bad choices and horrible actions that affect Americans who need a job, and the Priest I was so appuld being kept in the dark I said no, no way I didn't sign up for anyone of this financial burden gave the engagement ring back and walked. I left the church reported what the priest was allowing to the archdiocese and the priests church was black listed for this as it goes against our Orthodox Christian teachings to do this and so the church is now an AOC as its fallen out of standing with this and other issues. Thankfully I dodged a bullet, but many Illegals will prey on who they believe to be weak and desperate disabled women amd want to live with them without strings attached and mooch off them till they get a green card and then they would bail leaving the disabled woman blindsided and debt by such malicious antics. Its unfortunate, but glad I knew before I married the guy, he wasn't even pulling his weight and would complain about this or that and I told him you date me and plan to marry me, my pets and family are part of the deal, and never did I ask for any help with covering anything of my pets. Yet he'd complain to my family members at the restaurant or at a gathering why should he help me with the pets if he gets married and how they are beneath him, and my family would be beneath him and they were disgusted by his antics and his outburst on what I pay for my pets yearly stuff, or what I pay for this or that at home and he was showing a manipulative malicious-narcissitic user control freak side I wouldn't put up with. A special lawyer we went to see just to understand the ramifications of what his actions of being I'm U.S for 25+ yrs working under the radar would have serious consequences, including not being able to get health coverage through him as it would not be alallowed, and he wouldn't be permitted to through me. I was taken aside and warned that this would be to much to financially handle as the burden would put me in a possible homeless situation, so I let them know I appreciated the advice. When he wouldn't even pay the parking fee after my family helped me pay for the meeting with the lawyer I realized with everything else. I was done, I would never do what he did to anyone and disrespect them, their pets and who they are in front of anothers family, I'd never lie or abuse anothers trust nor moochbof them and waste their time, and I wouldn't criticize their short comings and financial situation and then turn around and expect an significant other to pay for something I did, I'd never abuse another for a Visa if I ever moved to another country out of the U.S where I was raised and born. Unfortunately they are getting cunning and will do anything to get a Visa, even trying to manipulate single disabled women to get married to them and it's sick and disturbing how far Illegals will go to ruin the lives of the less fortunate in the U.S, take their jobs amd more, then try to course and push a marriage onto an unsuspecting disabled woman who's just getting by and doesn't need that hefty debt of a burden. And to prove she was physically present after she filed 131. She did leave so she can’t prove that she did not leave. In Arizona they send you a new license through the mail. Takes about two weeks max (got my last one in less than a week).
Of course, if you’re in different countries, you would have different addresses

@@RIOSALEXANDRA a year, and we did the app ourselves without an immigration lawyer so we saved thousands. We had a picture album to show our lives together. Pics of our family together, out and about with friends and family, family trips hiking. That sort of thing. He got his green card in about a year. At this point he can go for full citizenship but as of right now is a permanent resident.
How can driver’s licenses between the USC and foreign spouse match when most states require USCIS to have done all of their processing before a person can get a driver’s license?! It’s like a waiter asking to see how a chef made your meal without even having brought you the menu then saying, “Aha! Gotcha! You don’t even have a main course, do you?!” while completely missing the irony that it’s them doing a poor job from the outset. 😤😮💨 It’s so frustrating! I can only imagine how you must feel dealing with USCIS every single day.
My assumption is this; when you begin the process of becoming a US citizen, you are initially given a work permit so that you may work during the time that your application is being evaluated since the entire process can take about 3 years. With said work permit, you can then apply to get a DL which would have the address where you would be residing at while in the US. The marriage interview doesn't take place right away, which in theory would give you enough time to get that work permit, apply for a DL, and then have the interview where you'd show the DL.
@@Ermac97 you’re assuming this draconian paperwork processes in a linear fashion. Mine skipped to the interview and approved green card. The EAD/AP never processed. Even after the i485 approved, they still showed as being reviewed for the EAD and a receipt having been sent for the AP. Also meaning that because I applied for an SSN on the I765 that never got approved, that I need to apply to the SSA directly and then go get a real ID when I have both the GC and SSN.
You don’t get a work permit automatically, you have to apply for that as well. It can take up to 9 months to get an approval on it.
Also, if someone already lives in to U.S on a visa, they can easily get a DL with the same address. There are States where someone could apply for a DL with a tourist visa.
Plus, USCIS and DMV used to let people to get a DL even just with a pending application! They changed this rule last year, so before that, it was possible to have a DL!
@@viivienhorvath8078 I'm not sure who you're responding to? I did apply for work authorization. It did not process after that timeline. The state where I reside also does not allow a person without a social security number (which was part of my EAD/AP application at the time of submission). Unfortunately, there are states that make any movement forward very inconvenient for new immigrants.

We we very honest- I asked straightforward questions and so did he. He showed consistency and is an awesome man. He truly love me and my family. I get along with my MIL and his siblings. You just have to be decerning, prayerful, and ask a lot of questions. We are going on four years and we love it! Many more years to come!

There are people legally skipping line for a marriage green card but it won’t work for most people. The American spouse is using their parents address because the parents live in the middle of nowhere or a town with very few people. The American spouse may or may not be living there. Address isn’t always a problem for spouses but many people wouldn’t want to live in the middle nowhere.

Most people don’t change their drivers license until it expires, they don’t bother updating the drivers license address just because they moved into their spouse’s house
not true. most states allow you to do this online. USCIS has access to that info and database, but YOU should bring proof. don't leave this up to USCIS because it can delay your approval for months

I use my parents home address still because I rent property. Most mail is delivered there as well for safety and visiting. Same for my partner with his mother’s address. It would be far in the future for us to have set and same home address.

Only if you crossed the border by foot then you need to file a waiver and go back for interview.
If you don’t get approved for the waiver then you are stuck, but since he is becoming a USC you will be okay.
If you came by plane then you are okay once he becomes a USC.

I'm a legal immigrant from Latin America. After the last news on politics I just don't know... my advice if you live in a "ok" country stay there, if you don't... try Canada, Asia or pacific... some parts of Europe maybe (but it's very problematic there anyway). Just don't come to America, you're going to stress a lot. A LOT.

From the perspective of couples already in the USA, #2 and #3 are wrong. Many couples are very affectionate, they have great relationships and they may be nervous, it is perfectly normal, just be GENUINE. It is a proven fact that housing is extremely expensive in all states. If a couple cannot figure out their living conditions despite having enough household income, any reasonable officer will understand, just prove it.
For couples outside the USA (pursuing K1 Visa for example), showing plenty of affectionate evidence (photos, trips together, the “sharing” of literally anything) is a huge PLUS, not a minus. And don’t worry, they know what genuine couples do, behave, and look just by checking at the sheer amount of data you will give them anyway. Having different addresses is expected, with special emphasis on the foreigner knowing exactly what the address of their love one is in the USA, among other commonalities.

That potential employee is A RED FLAG to your law firm. The Driver License itself can be logically explain, especially one of the couples lives or lived on the other State. Over touching or both are over expressive to each other during interview, but if they see couple who are both focus on the interview and no holding hands, they will look at it as suspicious anyway. That’s why I am a firm believer on lawsuit where I everyone can present evidence meticulously, and can articulate events thoroughly.

No you do not pay a penalty but customs May question her because she stayed out too long even after COVID was finished. I think she should be okay. Next time don’t forget to apply for a re-entry permit if you are planning to stay more than 6 months.

I walked away from being engaged when I found out not only the guy was here illegally, he was being protected by the priest of my church and I was disgusted by being left in the dark of 3 yrs I wasted getting to know him and didn't know. And not only did I find out he had a visa and went to school in U.S when the one who paid to send him to this country passed away, he didn't feel he was "obligated to go through all the red tape and paper work to get legalized citizenship. Not only that he was in financial debt and didn't finish the college stuff. I found out I would then not only have to pay to sponsor him, but also pay off his education debt, amd I found out he was in U.S and those like him were working under the table under the radar for less pay amd more hours, while disabled and lower class Americans born here were being passed over, getting laid off and not getting jobs because the factory like many unionized ones and retail were in on this and I was appalled and disgusted. And additionally finding out I'd have to not only pay off his student debt, I'd have to handle the financial burden of him working here illegally. I said nope, no way in heck was I going to end up in Poverty and go as one would say into being a pulper, bankrupt, would have to sell so much and more for his bad choices and horrible actions that affect Americans who need a job, and the Priest I was so appuld being kept in the dark I said no, no way I didn't sign up for anyone of this financial burden gave the engagement ring back and walked. I left the church reported what the priest was allowing to the archdiocese and the priests church was black listed for this as it goes against our Orthodox Christian teachings to do this and so the church is now an AOC as its fallen out of standing with this and other issues. Thankfully I dodged a bullet, but many Illegals will prey on who they believe to be weak and desperate disabled women amd want to live with them without strings attached and mooch off them till they get a green card and then they would bail leaving the disabled woman blindsided and debt by such malicious antics. Its unfortunate, but glad I knew before I married the guy, he wasn't even pulling his weight and would complain about this or that and I told him you date me and plan to marry me, my pets and family are part of the deal, and never did I ask for any help with covering anything of my pets. Yet he'd complain to my family members at the restaurant or at a gathering why should he help me with the pets if he gets married and how they are beneath him, and my family would be beneath him and they were disgusted by his antics and his outburst on what I pay for my pets yearly stuff, or what I pay for this or that at home and he was showing a manipulative malicious-narcissitic user control freak side I wouldn't put up with. A special lawyer we went to see just to understand the ramifications of what his actions of being I'm U.S for 25+ yrs working under the radar would have serious consequences, including not being able to get health coverage through him as it would not be alallowed, and he wouldn't be permitted to through me. I was taken aside and warned that this would be to much to financially handle as the burden would put me in a possible homeless situation, so I let them know I appreciated the advice. When he wouldn't even pay the parking fee after my family helped me pay for the meeting with the lawyer I realized with everything else. I was done, I would never do what he did to anyone and disrespect them, their pets and who they are in front of anothers family, I'd never lie or abuse anothers trust nor moochbof them and waste their time, and I wouldn't criticize their short comings and financial situation and then turn around and expect an significant other to pay for something I did, I'd never abuse another for a Visa if I ever moved to another country out of the U.S where I was raised and born. Unfortunately they are getting cunning and will do anything to get a Visa, even trying to manipulate single disabled women to get married to them and it's sick and disturbing how far Illegals will go to ruin the lives of the less fortunate in the U.S, take their jobs amd more, then try to course and push a marriage onto an unsuspecting disabled woman who's just getting by and doesn't need that hefty debt of a burden. And unfortunately when houses of worship protect these people and won't make sure before getting engaged to inform the partner that's America this series and often reason for a break off and not going past dating they won't and it harms the woman or man who was misled that the person in front of you is a good person who may be a good Christian, yet has broken way to many laws and here illegally. I even dated a guy who said he married multiple women to get them citizenship and once they got it then they divorced and she would work over many years to pay him back for misleading the government and church and its criminal behavior, yet he scoufed and thought nothing wrong with his actions and that I would do a 2nd date with the guy.... absolutely not.

Hello, I have a question. My wife had to leave the US while waiting for her parole document was pending. She got mail stating she has to prove she did not leave the US on a specific date. And to prove she was physically present after she filed 131.
She did leave so she can’t prove that she did not leave.
However, she can prove she was physically present in the US after filing for the advanced parole visa.
