I don't care what anyone else says, a firearm assembly (especially with such tiny screws) shouldn't be under that much tension. Cut the buffer, but just enough; it will still absorb the shock.
Those are my thoughts exactly. And it makes sense they'd offer the buffer just slightly oversized. It seems to work just fine. Thank you for validating that perspective!
Ain't that the truth. Or in this case... my local gunsmith's elbow grease :) Hope you're doing well. I'm gonna write the article on roller-delayed actions for PP here soon. Thanks for the comment!
Just installed one this week and I ended up shaving it slightly and using a trial and error fit it to the gun just fine. It’s longer than the original buffer that was installed so the performance will be better. However it is a two person job imo. Unless you have custom equipment. Thanks for the video as it prepped me for what to expect.
Germans make all kinds of complex stuff just for fun. Take a look at how a sturmgewehr works in full auto. The russians did the same job, but with ten parts less... al those weird torsion springs. I love this gun and it's good to see that the buffer is available. If I move to a democracy, I will buy one, for sure. In Brazil they cost a kidney and an eye (and maybe a third eye too).
Haha. Yeah. I was pretty somber, I think. I was disappointed. Perhaps... crestfallen. But life goes on. And does one's hipster gun channel :) Thanks for the comment, mah man!
Hahaha. Thank you, my friend! Appreciate you chiming in--believe me, I have thick skin. No sweat, from that dude. Besides--sometimes it's fun messing with the haters :) In any case... this is a common issue with the P9S. Figured it would be good to showcase my real-world experience. Thanks again and take care!
I remain amazed that some gun owners can be so fkn useless that they place a YT clip for everyone to see just how inept they are with the most easiest of tasks. He is not the first one to bitch and moan about the 'difficulties' in replacing those two screws. No wonder gunsmithing is such a profitable trade considering just how many useless owners there are about. I sat through this entire clip squirming with embarrassment for Mr. Hipster. I would have gladly done the work myself for him free of charge - but he WOULD have come away a damn sight better off.

That process looks like an ordeal! But hey, the nicest things in life often require some elbow grease and time!

Thanks, my friend! Glad it was helpful. Yeah, it’s definitely meant to be trimmed/fitted.

There's no reason one couldn't drill a hole between the two tabs on the front of the buffer housing to push it out from the front.
@@BronzeAgePuritan Damn. You’re right. Good idea. Thanks!
Glad you find HKPRO useful. :)
Haha. Yeah, there's tons of good info there. I have an account and I started some threads about this P9S. Need to swing by again, soon. Thanks!

Haha. Show them this. Then they'll understand :)
Thanks for the vid, it takes guts to show an unpolished work. Don’t pay any attention to the jackass naysayer.

Dude, show a little respect. You have only 4 subscribers, he doesn’t need to take advice from you. He seems to be doing fine, without your nastiness.
