Amazing cinematography! Thanks for showing the little gems of Sicily. It's a magical island. One of my favorite places in the world.
Thank you!! It really is such an incredible island!!
I recently bought a house in Cianciana and have been following your Sicily By Ape series. I absolutely love how you capture all the natural beauty and landscape of the island as well as the different coastal towns on your road trip. It definitely feels as if we are all there with you the way you film yourself driving in the ape. The flowers in Noto in this episode are incredible 🌺🌸💮🌹🏵🥀🌷🌼🌻🌴
Hey Gràinne welcome to Cianciana :) Thank you so much for watching and the kind words. I was definitely an incredible trip so I'm glad to hear that you feel like you are there with me.
@@LukeRenard thank you so much! We are really looking forward to spending some time in Cianciana. Keep up your great work - looking forward to next Sunday's episode already. From a rainy Ireland!
I was behind and just knocked out episodes 2, 3, and 4. Man, those views are amazing. I have a friend I need to visit in Sicily, and I'm 100% set on renting a Vespa and seeing at least some of the island in this fashion, just driving and seeing it's natural beauty!
That’s so great to hear! It’s a great way to explore the island that’s for sure! I think the north coast by Vespa could be incredible! I do that section in episodes 6,7,8 so definitely check those out :)
@@LukeRenard My friend lives about 70km west of Palermo, so I would have to do that drive at a minimum. Then I might as well head a little past there as well. No joke, right now I just checked out the google maps from his smaller town to another larger town, and clicked on google street view on part of the drive, at random, and then almost giggled at how beautiful it looks. I so gotta do this!
ahhhhhh love love love...when a new episode shows up.....shared the hell of out this....thanks thanks thanks
Thanks so much Connie!! really appreciate the support it goes a long ways!
"You were Sicilian in another life"...OMGosh that was hilarious! So enjoying this series along with everyone else - especially the drone coverage and the voiceover with the historical info!
haha isn't that great! I think that was a great compliment :) So glad you are enjoying the series!
As an American with a house in Molise, I'm loving this series!
Awe amazing thats one of the areas of Italy I would love to explore! I feel like similar to parts of Sicily that area has a lot of untouched gems
@@LukeRenard Your assessments is spot on. Medieval hilltop towns, no tourists, the most amazing people. We will visit Sicily sometime soon. The beaches looks better than Florida beaches.
Let me know when you do maybe we can meet up for a coffee!
Bellissimo Filmato,Luke👍✌🤙
Grazie Francesco!
Ape hat looks great
Cheers! It was a must purchase when I saw it haha
Love it! I love how she says you were a Sicilian in a past life … or in another life you were a Sicilian. For sure ❤
Oh great episode again you will love ortigia, great old theatre and other sites..noto beautiful too but always busy, best in the mornings and leave around 12, then the tourist busses start coming 🤪
Yeah totally agree I think Noto is incredible but a morning spot only from my experience. Ortigia is one of my faves, definitely very touristy but with good reason.
Absolutely love your videos, the vibe and the presentation style. I wish you would film Lipari and the rest of islands one day
I am enjoying your journey
I'm so glad!
Hey Luke! Love these videos. When were these filmed? The weather looks amazing! I’m headed to Italy in a week and I thought it might be coldish.
Hey Seiji, I did this trip end of May 2022. Depending on where in Italy you are going it will still be a bit cool but definitely headed for spring. Enjoy your time! :)
Code Red was so well done and so funny as to a Real Sicilian Nonna ... I shared it with so many friends here in California.. Please make more Luke..
Thanks John! really appreciate it! more is in the works for this summer :)
Another entertaining and engaging episode. From 1:00 to 1:11 as you approach the harbour, the scenery reminds me so much of Chania, Greece located on the island of Crete. It makes me home sick for the Med. Thanks for including a little history about the architecture too. Well done.
Thank you so much! Isn't Greece incredible! I haven't been to Chania but I loved my time in Greece.
@@LukeRenard I spent 2 years on Sicily and 4 years living and working on Crete, sightseeing the Med from my Vespa. This is why I dig this series so much.
Ah man thats amazing! yeah I think the best sight seeing is definitely still a vespa but the Ape is incredible for being able to get a similar unique experience while also being able to bring gear with me!
Thanks for a one more great video! When did you do the trip?
So glad you are enjoying it! I did the trip in May of 2022 starting around the 10th
I’m enjoying your journey for the second time watching. Brilliant and watchable adventure but please for the petrol, engineering heads that have viewed this could you please give mpg, power and cost?
Nice!! Name of the Airbnb please
Ciao Luke! I randomly came across your channel today while looking for Sicilian content as I am moving to Castellammare del Golfo in 6 weeks. Really enjoying your videos! Cool idea with the ape and the film work/cinematography is next level. I am also an American, from Wisconsin. I have lived in Florence, Italy for 6 months back in 2021/22 on a Student Visa, even though I am 53 Lol, and I'm looking to live in Sicily permanently. Definitely looking for some "piano piano" in my life again! For now I will be doing the whole 90 days in 90 days out thing until I can get my Elective Residency visa. You have been thru several areas that I considered moving to before deciding on Castellammare del Golfo. Will you be passing thru CdG in a future episode? I did subscribe to your channel and look forward to your future episodes! Would you possibly have any advice/tips for a fellow American moving to Sicily? Grazie mille, Paul
Hey Paul! Wow thank you for the kind words and for subscribing 👍🏽 Castellammare del Golfo is amazing and a great location to choose! I know another American guy who lives there, I could try to connect you guys if you want. And then if you have any questions please feel free to reach out happy to answer any questions you have 👍🏽
@@LukeRenard Is his name Dan C. by chance?
@@paulfreitag7772 yeah it is! Haha small world when your expats I guess :)
@@LukeRenard I randomly came across his channel several weeks ago and have been able to connect via Whatsapp and email. We are talking about them assisting me with a boat purchase and some other things. Nice guy! How do you know Dan?
