- Welcome back to our channel. Life with the bridges.
We are the bridge family trying to get the most out of this rat race we all call life.
In September 2021 we found out our dreams had come true. We were expecting a new addition ….to the Bridge family.
We spent the next 9 months, like any normal parents would, preparing our life for the arrival of our little boy.
On the 11th of may 2022, at 11:11pm we were bless with the birth of our son. HE WAS PERFECT. We instantly felt love like we had never experienced and our family of 4 we always dreamed of. Was finally complete.
We had the most magical first 8 months with Teddy experiencing all that life had to offer. UNTIL on the 24 of feb 2023 he got diagnosed with high risk AML Leukaemia.
We spent 6 months (184 days to be exact) at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He endured 2 rounds of chemotherapy and a full bone marrow transplant in hope that it would save our son's life.
We documented every part of his journey on this channel to raise awareness and give childhood cancer the exposure it deserves.
After riding the hellish and unpredictable storm Teddy made it to the end of his treatment and RANG. THAT BELL!
You are joining us now in our next chapter of this journey at home at bridge HQ, as we try to rebuild our life and continue to spread awareness about what it’s like to have a child post cancer and transplant in hope that this second chance at life we have been given. IS FOREVER.

All though myself and Katie have been lucky enough to travel the world far and wide in the past and now are slightly restricted for now due to Teddys recovery. This doesn’t mean to can’t dream, explore and go on adventures from our doorstep to show our son what life has to offer.
TIME is something that none of us have control over and let me tell you. It isn’t on our side. I don’t have time. We don’t have time and you don’t have time. Yes I said it. YOU. DON'T. HAVE. TIME.
So if there is one message we would like to spread to all of our community here on our channel. It’s live for today as tomorrow is never promised.
We are going to breathe deep, dream big, travel wide step out our comfort zone and go and grab life with both hands and make the most out of what ever time we have left on this earth. AND WE are taking you along with us. So buckle up as LIFE. WERE COMING FOR YOU.

My heart goes out to you as parents and the traumatic things you have to witness re your best boy. Bless his heart he just wanted to leave the theatre. His heart rate is probably as you mentioned due to his stress about all the invasive treatments and also you not being with him when he awoke after the bronchostapy. His little throat would be so sore and the feeling of needing to cough to try and rid his lungs of remnants of the salty fluid must have been scary for him. HE IS SO VERY BRAVE. Hugs to you all.🙏💙🙏💙🙏

That crab walk of Teddy’s was hilarious, just what I needed after waiting before his heart rate to improve. I cannot imagine what you two were going through.
My heart just breaks hearing Teddy saying bye-bye, get me the hell out of here. Teddy is absolutely right he is sooo BRAVE. Always thinking of all of you.
Oh that bye bye bit got me. I was always the same after all my surgeries and I'm 44. I always so upset when I woke up from ga, to the point of my last surgery in 2009, my parents warned the surgeon and anaesthetist before hand "good luck waking her up!"
Something that might help when Teddy is feeling overwhelmed is to affirm repeatedly, " I think you feel angry Teddy (or upset) it's ok to feel angry/ upset. Why don't we scrunch up your anger in this tissue (do angry scrunching)

My heart goes out to little Teddy when he keeps saying “ Brave” .I have a little grandnephew the same age as Teddy and I tell my sister that the videos she sends me are my best painkillers. I have had pain for 50 years now with no let up. Love you all. Theresa, from Ireland.❤❤🙏🤙🏻
They have to take every precautions so he won't have any problems at home. I am glad that they made you wait around until his heart rate and O2 Sat were a little closer to normal. BRAVE TEDDY! GB Teddy!

Seeing Teddy that upset but still managing to say Brave …Brave was so gut wrenching and I wish with all my heart these medical procedures would come to an end for him. Teddys endurance though never ceases to amaze me either as he seems to know this has to be but he tries you can see him trying to manage what he’s going through as theoretically he should fear hospitals as many children do with literally the sight of a nurse or doctor setting them off but Teddy he almost has this optimism about him that’s truly admirable. Teddy you are a true little warrior.
Scott you and Katy are just the most wonderful parents and Teddy’s steadfastness is directly down to you and all the hours of work and love you put into him.
As parents you two should be proud of yourselves.

Teddy is a hero. He will get through this he has come so far.
My daughter is the opposite..her heart rate drops and blood pressure..I had to let the team know ahead of time so they are aware of it..we don't know why..but she's 38 and still after every surgery and procedures she's in recovery longer than normal..lol

So happy to see how Teddy's walking is coming along. You will be chasing that boy all over sundry before you know it!! Cant wait to hear what is going on in that little man's lungs. Hopefully the tests they are doing will figure it out and get rid of that nasty cough. Also happy to see you getting to make plans for the near future. Planning a trip is always a good time. Its lovely to see you guys getting to do all the normal things families should do, that you have had to put aside to take care of Teddy. Things like the grocery store, and preschool, lol. Last week's episode was just soothing for my soul. And for yours too i would imagine. Be safe, stay strong and much love ❤️
I have been watching several TH-cam channels including your about children dealing with cancer. And I am shocked at how little finding childhood cancer gets.
Just wanted to say that Katie looks gorgeous, but she always does! It is heart wrenching to see Teddy so upset, even though the bronchoscopy was necessary.🥲
Bless Teddy's heart. He is always a trooper no matter what the medical staff throw at him. You guys continue to inspire me with how you advocate for your son. Prayers from the USA 💙🙏🏼
I lost my father to aml a year ago after his sister donated stem cells to him, which bought him 3½ high quality years of additional life. I have a rare immune system blood disorder and require ivig as well as having required multiple transfusions to rebuild a branch of my aorta. Becoming a stem cell, bone marrow, plasma, or blood donor is an incredible act of kindness that saves or improves the quality of many lives.

Which was secondary to her kidneys..I love how he cries brave..breaks my heart..
Make sure you get travel insurance and travel med insurance. That will help if you need to change or get treatment in France. I had a bunch of stuff happen in 2020, and it has resulted in anxiety attacks. Once I figure out what was happening, I found ways to combat it. Deep breaths, deep breaths!
Teddy Bear has been through so much...he is a survivor and a blessing...always look forward on seeing you guys...

Poor little guy wants to go home. I empathize with what he is feeling there. I had severe bilateral atypical lower lobe pneumonia and ever breath hurt so bad. I so very glad to see it didn't last for days! And I pray its not a darn fungal infection so he get well faster

Poor Teddy having the trouble with his heart rate after his procedure! Poor lil guy can’t catch a break! I know it made for a long day for you & Katie but it’s better to be safe & have his heart rate down than to get home & have something happen.

I totally understand. I'm scheduled for my third spinal fusion next month. I'm really praying that this time, the surgery will be a success.❤🙏

I have had so many discectomies, laminectomies, 3 fusions, all different injections, spine cord stim put in/ taken out, pain pump put in, went septic from it/ had it removed & had to heal from all that with 6 weeks of strong antibiotics through my picc line daily (3 hours per day) then a month after that was finished, I had a new pain pump put in. It doesn’t cover all the pain. I’ve been through ablations that doctors were SURE would help & they didn’t! Ugh! I could go on & on! Nothing has really helped! I was doing fairly well for about a year, I had pain but it was manageable then that came crashing down & my doctor did an ablation thinking it would help with the arthritis in my back & it didn’t. So I feel like I was set back a few years from that. BUT…I really hope your fusion helps you! My doctor teases me that I am his problem child! If 1 in 50,000 patients have an issue, I am that 1 patient every time! 🤣🤣 sometimes I just have to laugh about it because if I don’t, I would be crying all the time!

So glad that is over for Super Teddy as well as his sidekicks!! The one positive thing about him being so young, those awful things they have done to him will not be remembered by him. So excited about the next big adventure and can't wait to see all of the great videos that will be coming!! By the way Katie is looking so beautiful even with the stress of all that went on!!! Glad it all worked out. Teddy is so brave. Broke my heart when he kept saying bye-bye to get away from the situation. You guys are amazing. I have been through extended treatment as an adult and it's not nice. So many ups and downs. I hope you get to go overseas later this year.
Could his ng tube be colonised with COVID that’s why still testing positive? Also be careful showing where live and where teddy may go to nursery. Also be careful showing when going away as social media can be dangerous and can be used in a negative way and is making me people aware of when house empty for thieves only thinking of your safety.
