Idk if there’s an English dub version but I’d recommend you check it out as it developed the character quite well in my opinion. It’s a hilarious yet emotional movie. It’s not an adaptation of the anime, but it gives you new plot and backstories to the characters to understand them better

Shi Miao from an adorable girl and little sister to a Russian and mature girl although she is madly in love with her brother's friend.
