An army of face huggers scurrying like spiders down those dark smokey corridors is pure nightmare fuel. Theyve always been freakier to me than the actual Xenomorph
1. Alien 1A. Aliens . Not knowing what Alien was about and seeing a creature that was completely unique to anything ever seen was the only difference between the two movies . Alien was a shocker kinda like The Exorcist . Kinda mind blowing .
Waiting to see more, as in the next trailer, getting the "disappointing" vibes from this teaser, absolutely nothing new regarding an Alien movie, with the exception of the Facehuggers seem to be quicker, stronger, and more agile than the ones in Aliens which would be a horrible mistake, they looked too CGI'ish versus the ones trapped in the room with Ripley and Newt that looked extremely real. The only positive for me is Ridley Scott is apart of this. 🤔
Its paying homage to Alien and Aliens movies, whilst adding something new. Sorry you didn't see any of that. Fede himself said he didn't want to show too much and that the crowd at the test screenings gave a standing applause towards the end, and that hasnt happened in an Alien movie since the scene in Aliens where Ripley vs the Queen, with the line "get away from her you b****" I can assure you that it won't be a cash grab and will provide attention to detail from the first two movies. It is also set between Alien and Aliens, so the aesthetics as you see here are the same as both movies.
Ferez is big on using practical vs CGI where possible, so not worried there. But (knowing some spoilers), there will be new elements here while getting back to the basics of the first couple of films.
Dragging a minute teaser that show’s nothing about the plot then saying well Ridley is apart of it like he didn’t make 2 of the most controversial sequels in the franchise and has been very inconsistent with his handling of the franchise 😭
@yeeyeebubba1885 Ridley Scott is a master at his craft when it comes to cinematography and set designs, but when it comes to writing, he's an absolute mess. I think him just being a producer, so he can sink money into this, so we can get more practical visuals, is a brilliant choice. We all know Fede will let the carnage commence and set tension, too. I'm just worried about the writing because it's meant to be set between Alien and Aliens, but also connects to Covenant... so to try and pull all that off is a massive leap in writing and can get easily convoluted. The most controversial was Alien 3, I believe, because the choice of killing Newt and Hicks. A lot of people liked Prometheus.

in avp like 6 people got face hugged at once. also in aliens there were 2 facehuggers trying to get ripley and newt.
