Go back to the basics. What were you doing when it was at its best. For me I started feeling distant because I hadn't read the Bible for a bit. So i try to read every day. On top of praying twice a day I also like to hang out and talk to the lord In my quiet place. Hope this helps. Also you could be being tested. Think of it this way. He hasn't left He's just quiet letting you take the test. Like a teacher in the same room as you. Remember the lord will never leave you.
The Holy Spirit will never leave you, will never forsake you. Once you have him, you do not lose him. Focus on your faith and get closer to God, he sometimes will make him self distant so you rely on him more, and strengthen your faith.
I was feeling very discouraged and fearful and horrible because I fell in a Sin of adultery Lusting over an image and saw this video about the mind being strengthened and us already being overcomers because of what Jesus has done for me reminded me to confess my sins before the lord and I’m feeling so liberated right now healed and restored once again Hallelujah and than you Jesus my sins aren’t too great for you!!! I needed this video. I deal with evil spirits harassing me every day and night by banging on my walls and ceiling. My.cousin and my mom recently heard the banging and finally understand that I'm telling the truth. God won't take them away, but I believe He is with me and will bless me with the strength to carry on no matter what.

Wow, God literally spoke to me about this exact same thing this morning during my Bible study. He led me to the book of Ezra, and already in the first couple of versus he showed me how his word is always complete and then that led me to read the prophecies and Jeremiah, which he references in that book. In the book of Jeremiah in chapter 29 I believe there is that famous verse that says that he has plans to prosper us but something interesting that I picked up on is that the verse immediately before that states how he was indeed going to let the people of Israel spend the whole 70 years in exile. That really made me consider how God doesn’t always put us where we want but he puts us where we need to be for his full good plan to take place.
God’s spirit fills us up when we feel uncertain, fear, or worried. The Spirit gives us the courage that we can’t produce on our own, this courage helps us to live out the purpose God has for our lives. If God’s power can fill a staff, His power can fill me up.
