    In the UK, there was a tv programme called "Pot Black". This featured professional snooker players playing a singke frame on a knock-out basis. At the time, most people only had monochrome tv sets. On one memorable occasion, the commentator said, "For those of you watching in black and white, the green ball is between the brown and the blue," very helpful.

    Our Five and Dime didn’t have a restaurant. But the owner was notorious for following people around the store like they were going to steal something.

    You only had to rotate the 'dialer' 7 times. It wasn't until the 1990's that you had to add the area code.

    I was freshly drafted in 1969 when the moon landing happened - watched it on the tv in the day room in Fort Polk, La.

    I WAS that guy with a phone hookup. My apartment near Cal state had all the phone lines running thru all the apartments - I fished around until i had a dial tone and connected up.

    Baby Boomers are born between 1946 - 1964. The Osmonds were from Generation Jones. Speaking of the Osmonds to have them on the list and not Jackson 5 is ridiculous. Jackson 5 was much more popular. Macrame is 70's again not Baby Boomers. 70's is another generation. This was interesting though.

      Jackson 5 were extremely racist. Hiding this is ridiculous. I wonder how popular they would be if it weren't for the lying news media. But I agree they were more popular.

      There was only one actual leisure suit. They came in bad colors too; mint, baby blue, rust, maroon, cream, goldenrod, etc.

    I worked in a gas station and e would crank out bunches of blue chip stamps to customers - they even came in different denominations and there were special days or promotions when you gave out 10x stamps.

    Are you sure the information concerning "newspapers" wasn't for telephone books. You refer to "looking people up" and if they weren't listed (unlisted) then you wondered what up to that they didn't want people to know. I don't remember people getting unlisted from newspapers.

    There were mostly glass bottles and a broken one would cut a bare foot. Pop tops were rare. And normal people did not pronounce the T in often. The T in often IS SILENT!!! Only gay people pronounced the T. Rich kids had encyclopedias. They could read them while they ate their bagels and cream cheese. You know, the privileged ones who tell you about your privilege and take from you and give to others with a cut for themselves.

  • @claudiayates7621
    @claudiayates7621 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The pop tops shown were not the ones from the 60s that were all over the beach & indeed cause nasty cuts (tors & feet). Do better research for proper pix.

      Half the crap in this video is wrong. It's obvious the person making this was not a baby boomer. For example, the "rotary dial" telephones shown were actually push buttons made to look like a rotary dial. He talks about BBS's and shows CB radios. Not even close.
