TranceCrafter - A Theme of Ages

- This was a project I began planning in 2011. Finally released in 2015, it was the largest project I had undertaken to that point. I wanted to write a piece that defined who I was. Something that showed my deepest anguishes and brought you from that place to somewhere fantastical and magic, where anything is possible.

You just reinvented Classic Music, WONDERFUL
So good every single time I have to come back
spent every day since I uploaded this video focused on going back to basics, really learning every aspect from detailed drum programming to writing the best strings possible (better than this) and studying deeper into music theory than I had when I released this, studied piano, counterpoint, reading music both in the piano roll and also sheet music. I think if you really liked a theme of ages you will also like what I will be working on soon. :)

what a weird trip, If I had to critique this, i'd have to say that it felt like it was a lot of epic build-up for nothing. I was certainly entranced, but I was expecting to be carried away by the music, but instead I got something that found its way to the uncanny valley and built a house. Which isn't a bad thing, it was a very new experience for me.
You certainly nailed what you were intending, but I think I was expecting something completely different.
Would it help that it was never actually completed?

I'm getting sick of fl studio 12! its soooo glitchy! What DAW would you recommend for almost similar music as this???
+Phan tom This was made using FL Studio and Cubase. Achieving this sound took a lot of hard work, I don't think buying any particular daw will change the fact that I had to spend a solid 4 years planning it out and writing it and rewriting it.
I agree but, i think there are some DAWs that are good in particular genres of music but i guess that's not a thing any more because any kind music can be made with any DAW. I am changing my DAW because FL Studio 12.1.3 is being very glitchy and slow, very irritating to work on.
I just wish it wasn't so fleeting, it's as if though you don't have as much time with each emotion as you would wish.

+Trancecrafter Productions Can't wait! And what I was really asking was... can you make an extended version? I know this one is already lengthy and your busy, but nothing I have found compares to this, and I've been an electronic music collector for about eleven years.
+Michael Gonzalez It's funny you say that :) this project was intended to be much more intense and story driven than the final turned out to be. I have ideas in my head that still have not found their way onto a computer screen and I intend to make them happen :) much to look forward to.

I just wanted to say that 9:30 is probably the best build up I have ever heard, and when it gets to its climax it's so short I just have to rewind after, that part brings me chills I haven't felt in so long. I truly believe this work deserves its own animation or even video, I bet it'd be breathtaking. I just can't get my imagination to stop changing the story. So many possibilities of what's actually going on.
