    Update from Germany
Here in the middle of Germany the supermarkets that I visit are overflowing with food, produce, seasonal sweets and household items.
I overheard several store clerks complaining to their colleagues about no more room to put stuff.
Prices have been rising steadily for the last 4 years and have now about doubled.

From what I see here in Western South Dakota, the smaller town stores are better stocked than the bigger towns and cities. I went to a small town about 45 minutes away. They had pumpkin pie spice, canned chicken, eggs, butter, rice and all the shelves were stocked very well. What really surprised me was the prices. Everything I purchased were 50 cents to a dollar cheaper. Their stores were clean and ready for customers. I was very impressed!! I'll be going back in a few weeks, and I'll definitely be shopping in their stores. Thanks for all your reports Steve!!! God bless everyone!!! 🙏❤️🙏

they have slower retail turn ( how fast they move goods). In addition, the bigger volume stores will get goods that the lower tier stores do not as budgets get slashed. So an A volume door may get 10 units, a B store 6, C store 3 or none sometimes

Update. Canada BC South Cariboo my small town of 2000 which services 10,000. Has fully stocked shelves.
In fact out of are two Grocery Stores one had a big expansion which added 40% more space to the store.
It also is installing 6 self check outs due to not having enough room to install more regular checkouts. Which has doubled its checkouts. This is a very welcomed addition to the store. As its close to the only high school and during school days gets swapped by high school kids. Which makes the lines very long for them to buy drinks and snacks. The self checkouts will allow these teens to buy there drinks and snacks without taking up the regular checkouts.

Hey Steveo, thanks so much for this update. Want to pass this along from my "don't ask me how I know" Files. I am finding that plastic containers don't always hold up that well. 3 examples, about three years ago the Glyphosate (Round-Up) I had in a climate controlled building leaked from the bottom of the bottle. This was a gallon size in what I thought was a very sturdy jug. Lowe's told me this was very unusual and to report it to the manufacturer. I did but they did not seem that interested. Next was the Clorox 3 gallons in a box from Sam's/Costco. I now know that liquid bleach does not store well as it becomes weak, but what was a major surprise was the product started leaking from the bottom. Latest is some liquid laundry detergent. Picked it up and it was definitely lighter and goo all under the bottom. I have started storing containers liquid products like this in shallow pans to catch any leaks and am also switching to purchasing powdered products for LT storage. All of the above were in climate-controlled environments.

Our small town store is usually pretty well stocked although I did find a couple things almost expired and was told “that’s all we can get.” Sale prices are similar to Walmart but everything else is expensive. We don’t have a Walmart. We have to drive a half hour to go to Walmart. I don’t want to lose our store so I do shop there when I need things and don’t have time to go somewhere else. I also shop the sales since I would rather help them stay in business if the price is about the same.

Last time I checked at Kroger, it was about the same. There are not many cans of any of it. I don't usually buy much canned Chicken, but I bought two cans of Chicken and two cans of Beef. I had to go out to the Midwest on business and drove so I had a few observations: gas stations not carrying whole milk, half and half for coffee, I saw only 2% and artificial creamers, grocery stores like Meijer had significant sales this week for Thanksgiving versus what’s back in SE PA, ex: 33 cents a pound for turkey if you hold their grocery app, at Weis markets, you have to spend a certain cumulative dollar amount to get a discounted turkey, gas of course was way cheaper because their taxes are lower on gas but their roads, where they get lots more snow, looked WAY BETTER, than PA’s and on the way back, stopped at a Sheetz and found a 12 oz bag of “peanut butter mocha” coffee on sale. Thought it was reduced to $5 but actually was $1.99. Tastes pretty good! You look wonderful since your journey!

The only substitution was the Organic Kale was substituted for non organic kale. I did go in Aldi, which was packed with shoppers. I am unable to shop very long at all due to a bad back, but what I saw looked well stocked. I was pleasantly surprised to see the produce section had a nice variety and was very well stocked. The meat section was much smaller than previously, but was well stocked, except they were out of boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Canned Mandarin Oranges are appearing more plentiful in stores, which is great as a lot of us make Mandarin Orange Cakes this time of year. I also saw plenty of turkeys available in our area.

I live in a rural area in the NC driftless area of Wisconsin. The old, real, grocery store was sold and it's now stocked like a convenience store with only 2 or 3 of any shelf item. The real convenience/gas stations are better stocked but everything is priced at 4.99. I gal whole milk, 1/2 gal orange juice, 1 dozen eggs, 1 pound butter all 4.99 each. Very odd and very expensive. UPDATE if you'd like. Thanks for your videos. It's good to know what's going on in the rest of the country.

UPDATE in central Ohio, most stores are pretty well stocked. The isles have changed the amount of each product, but I can usually find what I need. Some products are fronted, but others just have a smaller spot on the shelves. If I was not aware of shipping problems, I probably wouldnt know. Apple cider is REALLY high priced. The whole store of Aldi's has been rearranged. Down the middle of the store, there are 2 full isles from front to back of the ENTIRE STORE filled with non-food items & Christmas products. Things dont seem too bad except for the prices. You can rarely get out of a store for less than $100. I dont know how some people can eat today. There is no reason everything has to be doubled in price at the very least. Some things are triple the price.😔

My recent observation: There is a shocking percentage of boxed meals, canned meals, frozen meals, bread, crackers, cereals, baking mixes, snacks and even ice cream labeled "Made With bioengineered Ingredients". At my local Walmart I found one brand of vegetable crackers (organic for $5) labeled "made without bioengineered ingredients. And a little known fact is that if the item doesn't state its bioengineered, many times there is a less obvious disclosure in the form of a symbol, electronic or digital link, or a phone number to request more information. My guess is that ninety percent of Walmart food products are made with bioengineered ingredients.

UPDATE IN CENTRAL KENTUCKY: first we don’t buy much meat, or boxed items. We mainly buy paper, hygiene, and pharmacy products, all of which we’ve had no issues getting. We order our canned meat right from Keystone. We buy fresh veggies week to week from our organic CSA. We buy beef, chicken, pork from a meat farmer in our area. We order frozen fish from Alaska, shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico, and tinned salmon and tuna from American pole caught fisherman. I’ve put up veggies, so we don’t have to buy any of them. People have been complaining about Campbells soup and I’ve bought many tins of tomato soup over the past several weeks. I re entry bought 20 pounds of NON GMO russet potatoes for 6.60 that I froze into fries and hash browns, and there were plenty of bags available. The only shortage of anything we’ve noticed has been Kroger heavy cream. We get our milk and eggs from local farmers, and I make my own cottage cheese, & Greek yogurt. So we really haven’t noticed many shortages of the things we buy consistently. Good luck to everyone, pray and prep. ❤️🥰❤️

I am in NE Indiana, and we haven't been seeing these shortages. The key grocery chains in my area are Kroger, Meijer, Walmart, and Aldi. The only issues I have been seeing are due to the weekend shoppers that pick over the shelves for their weekly groceries. One item that has been out at multiple stores has been the drink mix 6 packs. I assume Kroger, Aldi and Meijer use the same vendor and there is a manufacturing issue. I went to Sam's yesterday and they were out of a couple odd things - no toilet bowl cleaner or Built Bar puffs.

Small city here, stores have spotty thinness. We are, however, the main ahopping for rurals up to an hour, or so, away, so when a rural fills in a gap at home, we get an empty spot. Refills happen quick. Next nearest big shopping is two hours thata way, or four hours over there, and we've got blizzard potential today.

Absolutely, our small town Walmart is not well stocked. You can travel an hour away or more and find well stocked Walmarts. Not convenient. So an hour and half travel time and back with an hour to shop makes for a four hour chore to get a good bill of groceries. With that said, God always provides and thankful.

Shortages news will spread like wildfire in the cities. Which I honestly think is coming. Learn how to grow and even better propagate, you might need to jump start food production.
