This is our comprehensive test drive review of the all-new 2015 Volkswagen Passat sedan and then & VW Passat Variant (Germany), Estate (GB) or Wagon as you call it in the US (can't say right now if the wagon will come in the US.). The Passat is also called Magotan (similar, but built there) in China.

Thank you for this amazing review.
Thomas Apostol Thank you very much! And congrats :)
Your car reviews are getting better & better...."Die Besten"
Gurdit Singh Thanks ! :)
A brilliant review. The review was so good that my head started moving with the vehicle and for a second I thought I was part of the review in the driver's seat! Thank you very much for the crisp, detail and awesome review. God bless you all. Regards, Ghanshyam from Braunschweig
Ghanshyam Ghyani Thank sounds great, thank you very much - so great for us if we could achieve that! Beste Grüße nach Braunschweig :)
***** Danke schön! 😊
This is the best VW from now on!
Дмитрий Аносов you name it
Brilliant review of a very elegant looking automobile! What is the background music toward the end of the video? Es wird mein kopf nicht entlassen!
Stephen N Thank you very much, Stephen. That's "Crimson Fly", see other comment :-)
Interesting that the Passat CC was mentioned, as I consider it to be more of a sibling rivalry between the two. Personally, while I used to find the CC to be an attractive car, I believe that it has become a bit dated, as the Passat's looks and features have moved forward, distancing themselves from the now older styled CC. The CC also reminds me of the MB CLS, which it also shares reduced interior volume with due to the sloping rear roof.
In regards to the active info display, I believe that's something that I'd like to try out. Personally, I believe that it is a step in the right direction which will do a lot to keep the car both classic as well as with a firm focus and dedication on moving forward with technology. I love my Glacier Blue 2013 TDI SEL, but would have loved some of the newer features in my car as well. If volkswagen continues with the styling and technology queses (as well as the lending of technology between the VW, Audi, & Porsche brands), I do not believe that they'll see any issues with many previous Passat owners returning to VW to upgrade to a newer model Passat. I've only owned mine for a few weeks, so far, and while I'm not a fan of automatic transmissions, I really like this car, believe that it fits my family of 5 quite nicely. My only concern with the car involves its high speed handling, as I noticed some pronounced oversteer at the cars upper speed limits here in Germany, where these speed can be explored legally on public roads.
Thanks for reviewing in english, always nice to know infos about cars that are sold in the EU that other markets dont have, and am glad that this passat is such a great car to the point that its now can compete directly against Bmw 3 series Merc C class in terms of refinement and price..well done VW!
The best review till now I've seen in the internet. The way of narration by the lady and the guy is simply superb. What to say, Natürlich this car will be my first pick ^^. Well done by the team Autogefühl and vielen dank für die amazing review. People going for Audi A4, BMW 3 series or the Mercedes CLA should give a look on this.
Prashanth kotamraju Thank you very much, highly appreciated. Passat will definitely be the benchmark for the next years. Hope to see you at more of our reviews!
+1. The best review I've ever seen for any car. Congratulations!
I like the way this looks so much I'm going to get one! Very stylish and masculine!
Just bought the estate version in the Harvard blue in R-line spec with 19" wheels. The car wants for nothing and is a stunningly quiet and refined, I love it. I tested against Audi A4 as I had an older A6 a few years ago, but the Passat was cheaper, had very much cleaner interior and higher spec generally than the Audi. My wife hated the stuck on Nav screen in the Audi A4, needless to say she fell in love with the Passatt
thanks for the feedback !
I like the digital speedometer display, it looks very stylish. I prefer digital speedometers as you can choose between km/h and mph, and you can also see your exact speed.
Finally nice english pronunciation at this channel! Thank you! Give us more of that, please.
People need to calm down a bit. The design is just one element of the car and its subjective. There's so much more to a car than just how it looks. The Passat is a top notch car, mechanically speaking, and I think it also looks rather smart as well.
It is a very beautiful car.Thenks for this excelent presentation. All the best from Romania!
It's the best selling car in Romania
I agree with prashanth . Very smooth. I love her German accent very cute and sophisticated. Thorough is to say the least, as she doesn't miss a thing. The talk about the lines of the car is very hmmmmm. Nice. Not to get to frisky but ahhhhhh. I like her . Very informative. Thank you. The guy is right from a bond film. Sports car with that light German accent is pleasant to say the least. He's totally accepting in my point of view. He uses words like spacey instead of spacious. Love it! These two I don't know there names , but RE FANTASTIC ! I love to watch them review. Camera work is more than adequate to say the least. Bravo you guys from Germany. Oh yah I love the car!
Matt Fortier Thank you so much from Katharina and Thomas :-)
GREAT review!!!! very complete, it shows everything a potential buyer want to see... Thanks! I own a 2010 VW Jetta and I think the Passat is going to be my next car...
Excellent, comprehensive review. I only wish that they would export the wagon/variant version to the United States. We have been without a large wagon version of of the Passat for many years now. VW never offered a diesel powered B7 wagon version in the US. The version that Volkswagen sells here now has so many premium items missing from it,(LED or amber tail lights, etc) it's very unfortunate. They've NEVER offered a Tiguan here with diesel power.
Volkswagen corporate is making North America wait, and wait, and wait for an SUV version they're planning to build in Chattanooga (which probably won't be available until 2016). It may or may not be diesel powered. They still don't recognize that the Jetta wagon is too small for many people who would prefer to drive wagon and that an SUV is too large. They could easily export the diesel all-wheel-drive wagon version as a premium model to North America and make many people here happy.
There are quite a few of us who don't want to spend the money for the (smaller) Audi Allroad or Touareg. We also want diesel power in the premium offerings available in Europe.
If Kia or Subaru started putting diesel engines in their American cars, Volkswagen would be in big trouble in the North American market.
magnus466 Thank you for the insight on the American market. Seems logical that another model strategy would work better. That's why Mr. Winterkorn says that he is now personally addressing the American market.
I think the New Skoda Superb will do a better job- especially in value for money! Those headlights... not standard on a passat unless you get the expensive and thirsty biturbo, but standard on mid to high spec on the Superb!
I love car text but i agree with most comments i hate the digital gauges. Traditional gauges are timeless and elegant and never go out of style imo.
Great car! I bought one variant and now I'm waiting!
mouta73vm you'll love it!
The Passat B8 R-Line shown at the 2014 Paris Autoshow was stunning.
Idtelos indeed - we also got the Passat GTE from Paris, also looks great
Outstanding review!!! Very detailed! Can you also do a review of the new Audi A8? That would be great!!!
a8s320 Thanks!! We have one with the Audi A8 on ice already, search for autogefuehl audi a8 !
Kudos for the first detailed Passat video review. You all deserve a lot of subscribers and I hope you will get them.
I was really interested in the XC90 or the Passat plug-in hybrid but after seeing XC90 pricing, will most likely get a Passat. As you have been in both, do you feel there is much difference in refinement, considering the price difference?
Will Smith Hey, thank you very much, highly appreciated. It is really interesting how you consider buying two totally different cars, that contradicts what the manufacturers always say. They claim that people only choose inside the respective car segments, which I think - and obviously you too - is not true. I havent _driven_ the XC90 yet, so I cannot compare driving comfort etc. But refinement-wise, I had the impression that the XC90 is more luxurious, but not that well done in detail just the Passat. I hope you get what I mean - the XC90 has these obvious luxury elements, but also shows some cheaper plastic elements at certain regions as I explained in the latest XC90 video at the steering wheel. The Passat looks like they have worked on every detail. Overall, both will be excellent cars. I would go for the XC90 if you want the high seating position, and would go for the Passat if you also prefer sporty driving from time to time.
But this passat is good looking especially the interior
Thao Nguyen It sure does
Katrina is a great reviewer, hope she reviews more cars in the future. Wish this Passat would come to North America.
+DetLestrade we'll tell her. Btw there are also other reviews with her on our channel :)
Nice review guy, and hypnotizing beautifully pronounced Katrina's English ;-)
Is very very very Nice passat 2015 and think you very much for this cannel think you and gold like
IMMOUBILLIER ALGERIA Highly appreciated, thanks for watching!
Passat 4Motion 8th generation much better of Bmw Series 3.
The Passat 7 generation was luxurious as Bmw Series 3 ,but the new Volkswagen Passat the 8 generation is excellent,is superb car , VW badge has less prestige of Audi or Bmw(but in this case) has got the same level of built quality and is better than Bmw , for interiors materials and for the four-wheel drive sistem 4Motion with Haldex V th generation that is better on snow compared to xdrive sistem available on the Bmw Series 3 ,compliments to Volkswagen.
TheNFL4ever definitely!
fuckin addicted shut up! you are junk! and i'm the justice! fuck you! series 5 ?ahahaha you are redicolus ! Passat the same categories of series 3! idiot!
Replace BMW 3 series with Hyundai Sonata.
If I don't skip the ad do you guys make more money? I hope so. Great review!
Luka Henigman Of course we are always happy when you pay tribute to the companies advertising here :)
Again, well done :)
And a very nice location, at 23:00 it looks like a real VW commercial :D Where is it ?
I am exited, a friend of mine just ordered one as company car. In my opinion they did it, VW made a good steep in the premium direction again.
Banana Rama Thank you very much! This was in Sardinia, beautiful landscape indeed!
I live in Brazil and have a 7th generation Golf highline trim and this is definitely the car which would feel like the absolute upgrade to me if they were to release it here with the 1.4 TSI and manual gearbox. I'm in love with the info display and the wooden trim.
Did you prefer the sedan over the wagon?
Thanks for taking out the music by the end of the review, the TSI engine sound is the real music to one's ears.
Top notch review, as expected from Germany.
Rudolfo Lange Neto Thank you very much! I personally prefer the sedan indeed - just looks better. But the wagon is always way more practical.
"i will read your comments" this lady knows how youtube works, love her. I am subscribed NOW!
Mon Mi Thank you very much, love to see you at all of our next videos :)
Thank you +Autogefühl for the great reveiw!
I had a VW Passat 1.9TDI B5.5 back in 2002-2005, and it was a great car. Best seats profile I ever had.
Now this one is the first Passat I want to buy after my good old B5.5!
makar126 I guess you wont regret it!
Absolutely love the 2015 Passat. It is beautiful, very sleek with an executive appearance. I wonder what will happen to the price since the car is now marketed as a premium vehicle, especially here in the U.S.? I also wonder if VW has focused on improving its reliability. I think a spotty reliability history is the only thing keeping VW sales from exploding here in the US. The interior seems to set a new standard in the midsize segment. Well done, Deutschland.
Matt Lady I agree. However, we wonder why Volkswagen is not considered as reliable in the US - how come?
Hi, You mentioned in the video that the engine options was 150 and 240HP. There is also a 190HP diesel. I will order my tomorrow....
Ulf Nygren Congratulations! They will further expand the engine programme now, there were just certain release engines. Did you order a sedan?
***** The papers are signed!! Passat Sportscombi GT 2.0 TDI SCR 4MOTION BlueMotion Technology 140 kW (190 hk) 6 vxl DSG Ref code: VT8XDO7A.
Ulf Nygren Excellent choice!!
*****
Isn't the 240hp version biturbo? Volswagen claims 6,1 seconds from 0-100km/h. With electronical optimization you could get near to 300 hp and 700 nm out of it, and about 5 seconds 0-100kmh.
Great and very detailed review. Thank you.
iinthanon you're welcome
I like this new Passat better then CC. In the R line exterior I even like it more then newest C class or the 3 series. The new Passat R line in my eyes is the best looking car in its class (favorably also the most economic choice from its competitors) Great really great review, thank you!
Mishatko1 I agree, Passat R-Line is really kickass and outnumbers all others, even the more expensive ones in my opinion
This car looks Sweet as, can't wait for it to arrive in Australia.
love it !my next car will be Passat vagon TDI AWD
novozagorec thanks! And have fun with your new car :)
Shame the UK spec gets boring more traditional dials with smaller LED screen in centre
The R line, which is supposed to be top spec doesn't even get led rear lights ;/
Anjunadeep.. I love that music! good taste Thomas ! (:
appreciated!
Glad it is in English, just arrived in Germany and needed some English language review. Thanks!
+Hr H cheers tune in to more!
Finally found a decent review. I'm interested in the European version of the Passat Premium with all-LCD instrument panel and better finishing touches... I feel teased! That said, I like it better than the CC. I drove a 2015 Passat TDI DSG SEL Premium today. The back seat of the CC offers smaller leg room by a few inches. The size of the Passat back seat is a leader in roominess among most American cars. I don't feel like the cab of a CC offers more room front or back. The features are all there on the Passat and who wouldn't love a car that can travel from the east coast to St. Louis on one tank of gas! I'm in for that reason. This car is beautiful in form and function.
Oh... AND the torque and feel of power was absolutely great! It did NOT sound like a traditional diesel engine. Stealthy prowess comes to mind as a description...
Joseph Koch actually you dont need the CC anymore if you have that new one ... thanks for your feedback!
why not wait for the new CC? it should be amazing! imagine this Passat but only even better looking and even more luxurious
When is this version coming to the US? It looks so much better than the current version we have.
Wonderful review
J Ramenn Thanks!!
Oh I love this car i am using the 2013 Passat HL AT. I will upgrade it with the 2015 model.
I need to see this version in America! I love it!
Nice car. Nice review. Nice reviewer :)
+SpeedKingHighwayStar thanks!
Excellent video as always, Autogefuhl! I was fortunate enough to peak around and ride in one of these a few weeks ago, one of the first boat loads of b8's into the country, and I have to say, I really want one. It is one of the most German cars ever. Every design element on the inside and outside is symmetrical, in line with something else and really functional. Large chunky button and handles, something which is seemingly lacking in other cars, sacrificing function for design. The build quality is the best Volkswagen have ever put out in my opinion, which is saying something as their cars have always been built like tiger tanks. I know the passats and other VW and Audi models have had problems with reliability in recent years, but during the last 2 years, Volkswagen reliability claims for Europe have decreased by 40%. In the UK, the only engines available, at the moment at least, are diesels. 4 of them, ranging from the 120 bhp 1.6 TDI, to the 260 odd bhp 2.0 diesel which is what I was in. How VW have got so much power from a diesel is simply incredible, and it was so quiet, pulls like a train even laden with 4 adults.
Oliver Newell Totally agree. For me the best car we've tested in 2014.
+Oliver Newell You say its incredible how VW got so much power from a diesel. There are more powerful diesels out there. VW diesels are "Common Rail" type..... which was developed jointly by Opel/Fiat.... the first passenger vehicle to have a common rail engine was the Alfa Romeo 156. Other car manufacturers have since copied and borrowed from what Opel/Fiat initiated. The 150bhp cdti engine in the Vectra is the same as the Fiat engine marketed as the Multi-Jet, and it's very quick with rapid acceleration and circa 330 Nm of torque. The slightly heavier Insignia had the same engine tweaked to become firstly 157bhp, then 163bhp, and currently the 168/170bhp version with 400Nm of torque - which compares with approximately 340Nm of torque from the VW 150bhp engine in the Passat. Although having driven both I cannot distinguish any real difference in power between them i.e. on paper the Passat may have less bhp as a maximum figure and less Nm of torque but it obviously delivers it very well through the rev range. The Passat is also quiet and smooth, and so too is the latest version of the Insignia using the revised 170 'whisper' diesel which Opel have recently overhauled (after they recently withdrew the 163 bhp engine and replaced it with the 170) with the main aim being to reduce noise and vibration which they seem to have achieved. The new 170 engine is available currently in the 'facelift' Insignia, however the all-new Insignia will apparently become available in late 2016 with sharper crisper lines, but by then I will have bought a new Passat with the 150 bhp engine.
SpeedKingHighwayStar Vauxhall/Fiat engines are terrible. To work on they are pigs and they cut so many corners. Plastic pullys and belts for example, the 1.9 CDTI is one of the worst diesel engines available in terms of durability. The ISUZU ones in Vauxhall/Opel were incredible. The BiTDI 2.0 is fantastic. it is basically as quiet as a petrol with really good power delivery, but no GM diesel goes from 0-60 in 6.5 seconds like the Passat. That is power. The 1.6 TDI engines i have in my gold with the DSG7 gets to 60 in 9 seconds, after the engine has broken in (its claimed at 10) and again it is really quite and smooth. Plus common rail technology was sold to Bosch very early on.
+Oliver Newell Hi Oliver, don't think I agree with that. You say "the 1.9 CDTI is one of the worst diesel engines available in terms of durability" - I had one and it did over 150,000 miles on its original clutch, its original DMF, and was the most reliable car I ever had, so I can't agree with your statement. I drive about 35,000 - 40,000 miles a year, given access to various company cars and VW have a shockingly poor reliability record - many of my colleagues VW's were never out of the garage to have something replaced as yet again they had either broken down or developed some fault or other - all of them less than 2 or 3 years old, shocking. You claim the Passat does 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. The standard 150bhp Passat does it in around 9 seconds. The pricey 190bhp version only takes that down by 1 second to about 8 seconds, and the even pricier 240bhp version another slither off, but the standard 150bhp does it in 9 seconds - so I'm not sure where you got the 6 seconds figure from. Noted you say that the 'common rail technology was sold to Bosch' - it of course doesn't change the fact that 'common rail' was a joint R & D venture by Opel/Fiat. The 1.6 engine you mention doesn't seem that great, I've seen 2.0 TDI golfs struggle to keep up, so the 1.6 is surely slower? As to your claim that the Passat engine is more powerful than the Opel Insignia's - this again seems factually incorrect - the Passat's normal 2.0 litre diesel is 150bhp (148) and has 340Nm torque, whereas the Opel Insignia normal 2.0 litre is 170bhp (168) and has 400Nm of torque, so you are talking through your backside. EDIT: Oliver, I checked as I didn't want to be unfair or harsh and it is the Passat SCR 240bhp that does 0-60 in about 6 seconds or so as you say, so you are correct on that, and yes I would want one myself, but that particular Passat variant is circa £35,000 and for that kind of money I would be looking at Mercedes or BMW. As it stands, I will get the Passat 150bhp (actual 148) with 340Nm torque, yes it might be less bhp etc on paper than the Insignia which has 170bhp (actual 168) and 400Nm torque, but having driven both there seems no real difference in power anyway, and I like the new B8, so I will pay more to get that. Happy motoring my friend. All the best.
SpeedKingHighwayStar Okay I dont really care. I love my Golf. Oh, and that is the BiTDI. Twin turbo 2.0.
Well, what I like about the CC in comparation with the Passat it's the sporty doors ;-)
I've never been a fan of VW'' s exterior designs since I think a car should be a little more "sexy" think, but cannot deny the extremely high quality of the Passat.
By the way, you have a very beautiful English! (You too Thomas, but you sound just a bit more German, haha)
cacuin00 appreciated :)
well done, great job
thanks
Gilbert
+gilbert de la torre appreciated!
Hi,
My apologies. I will watch it in full. Actually Passats are lovely, understated cars. VAG cars are my favourite.
What is the song name? It goes so well with the review. Great one Autogefuhl!
Pvulture b Thank you very much? We used several songs, timecode of the one you meant?
***** That first punctuation mark was supposed to be a "!" ;-)
***** No problem. The song is from 34:45 Thanks.
Pvulture b that should be "Crimson Fly"
I like the digital display but it is scary to think what will happen if something goes wrong with it.
This new 2015 Volkswagen Passat, in a word, gorgeous! I love the new somewhat aggressive stance (looks to be a bit wider) & bold aggressive styling looks more than great when compared against the competition. The inside cabin is very well appointed. I particularly like what they've done with the navigation system placing it in video format along with the gauge clusters between the RPMs and speedometer. The only thing I would say is missing with respect to that is maybe a heads up display. I'd love to see this car come to the United States and its highest trim level. #thisisakeeper
Gunther Mathis Totally agree. The HUD is available, we didnt have it in the car, but it is optional. Works via a separate glass that can me flipped out.
Same colour as my Golf GT TDI. Great review thanks.
jon man Thank you! Was a nice colour indeed, usually I am not into colours that arent blue/red etc., but that one really looked cool
***** Great review. The colour reflex silver right?
Sitan No they call it Tungsten Silver.
Sitan indeed Tungsten!
jon man thanks for replying!
Owning a 2014 passat nms, euro-spec passat is way better than the current NA one. Any idea when vw is gonna bring up B8 into NA market?
I have a preference for high-end analog instrument clusters, not only on sportscars, but a digital layout is cool too as long as it's not trying to fake analog dials (like the ones seen in many cars from the 1980's) because otherwise they look like a toy car's 2D flat stickers when seen from the passager seat (i.e. Jaguar XJ, new S-Class, etc.) but VW has done a fantastic job at rendering the needles with unusual depth and 3D effects on this one. I must say this Passat looks awesome in sedan version to me, probably the best looking FWD 4-door car atm, especially that stylish wide low front end. The only clear flaw I see is leaving the interior window frames uncovered, as I said on this other post. Come on, VW! How much would fitting four thin plastic covers cost to you? 10-15€ each? Big deal. However this could be somehow sorted out if you pick a dark color such as Uranus gray or metallic black lol.
Ted McScorcher Agree!
Still looks like a cartoon, and cheap. A kid could draw that in PS in an hour, I know I can. For me personally that makes it non-premium, nothing beats the real dials made out of good materials.
Pretty interesting to see the exterior design and trim interpreted by a woman, she seems had understood the lines and expressed it very clearly.
+Marco Busch thanks marco!
***** Not for that!! =] She should make more reviews about car design!
Thanks for another great video, who´s playing at the end? At 40 minutes...
Thomas and Katrina, loving your detailed reviews. Best reviews I can find anywhere. Level of detail is exactly what is needed. I have a question which I hope you can assist me with. Currently I drive an Audi A4 Avant black edition and looking for something bigger for the family. Would you recommend the superb or Passat?
+bigiain2005 thanks! For most space the superb! We got a lot of reviews on that one
nice video of review, nice wagon!
Heunghwan Cho appreciated
I'm sold. Any idea when it will be released in China? And will the price range be different from 2014s?
A-R4SCH too long to wait, I bought a new volvo xc60 weeks ago.
This car so beautiful and hot...I like the CC and this 2015, but will this car be in the USA, for sale? Again Nice car...Love VW
I like the way you can change the view when using the Sat Nav, but why does the rev counter take up so much space, it isn't an essential aid, especially in an automatic car. At least they could change from analog view to a space friendly digital readout in this mode? Plus I'd hate for that display screen to fail!
Lee Greveson You can adjust the screen, so the rev counter is smaller and the GPS is bigger - or do you mean that you would like to make it even smaller?
I like the steering wheel.
al zu indeed
brilliant review thank you so much for a detailed review
Saeed Anwar Thank you very much for watching and commenting!
Sorry but I must ask, where was this filmed? The area is beautiful, especially when showcasing the Variant model :)
BaiatGigi Sure always feel free to ask. That was in Sardinia!
Thank you, that's a beautiful area, can't wait to come back to EU :)
In my country, the highest trim levels of the Passat and the Mercedes A Class are the same price. I'm 22 years old. Which one should I choose? A Class is luxurious but it has a stiff suspension and rather small interior (which is fine for me. I drive alone most of the times), Passat is comfortable and has a lot of practicality but it lacks that special feeling Mercedes gives. Passat also looks like a company car. I want to use the car for at least 4-5 years. Which one would you recommend?
PrimorisOrdo I would always go for the Passat - offers so much more comfort. And it drives amazingly. The A-Class seems "cheap" in comparison to what the Passat is made of, I can tell from live comparison. The new Passat is awesome.
Excellent review. Where was this filmed?
Stuart Chalmers Thanks! That was Sardinia!
Thanks
I love it!! Its big clean design has premium feel and quality's at reasonable cost. However the CC should remain in the line up! It now has a big home here in America.. and is kinda like the alternative 4 door coupe if one cant justify a BMW 6 or Mercedes CLS.. Just imagine if you take this New Passat Chop the roof down about 2 inches, lay out the A and C pillars a few degrees, widen up the wheel arches about 1.5 inches at each corner, drop the suspension about 1 inch and bolt on a set of 19x10 wheels with proper fitting rubber all around.... Freaking Epic!!!
Erick Glover I think that exactly could be the new midsize coupé, hope it comes to Europe!
By the way, I am very excited about the new Passat, finally VW entered on premium sector and I do hope that this experience brings much modern design, materials and trim for all their car models.
+Marco Busch also check out our new video here: th-cam.com/video/YLplgsCxY-Q/w-d-xo.html
I'll do! thanks!
+Autogefühl Based on your feedback, I recently purchased a new Passat 1.4tsi (125ps). I love my car, thank you. I live in Turkey so due to our higher taxes for cars with larger engine capacities, this version has the highest value for Money. What would you think of this engine type? Keep on making your great videos, cheers from Istanbul.
I really like the way she talks, especially her accent : )
up_a_mango_tree heh, thanks =)
***** can she do a test drive on the new Volvo...love to that one : )
New to the channel, but whose this presenter? She's pretty good, but I somehow find myself missing Thomas on this one. If anything maybe a collaboration.
thanks! Katharina is also from time to time behind the camera, in that episode she also had some action in front of :)
Gettin it when I own my home
excellent review! waiting eagerly to be launched in United Arab Emirates. .. can anyone tell me when it is going to be launched in UAE.
perfect video, verry good family car VAG group the best
Feymi Ali Thank you!
After driving jetta for 7 years, i upgraded to passat. Cheers.
Is it reliable?
хороший обзор, спасибо, гуд!Супер!
The new Passat is a great car, luxury materials for the interiors and 4 wheel drive (4motion version) with haldex V that are good on snow ,completely different sistem of traction compared to old junk IV generation haldex, the new V has got good grip on snow ,ok it's not a true 4x4 jeep, but it' s ok everywhere
I honestly thought it was the next variant of the Passat CC, and was looking at the title as if there was a mistake ... let's see if there will be a new CC, if it makes it worth keeping, or switching to a Passat?
Dwayne Sealy True, we were thinking the same. The car looks that good now that there should be no need for a CC - unless they make it rather radical in comparison to the new Passat - or way smaller. Again I can mention the concept of the new midzsize coupe NMC which looked stunning (search for our video from Beijing) - I guess that one will take the CCs place.
Where are you at? The location is beautiful!
Yippie This is Sardinia!
Danke!
Above and Beyond ? Subed liked!
This car is great. I love everything about it. But no 6 cylinder engines = not a premium product. I'm talking about the standard car, not the (not yet existing) R version.
When will VW Passat B8 shown in the video review be offered in North America (Canada) ?
About how mutch would this cost in American dollars I'm guessing around 25 grand for base
Wondering will they upgrade Golf 7 GTD to 240 HP
You were to describe the MirrorLink system in this video. I saw you had an iPhone. Can you display the iPhone's screen on the VW info system?
Tom-Erik Grønningsæter Hey, no thats not possible - because Apple refuses to support MirrorLink.
For now, it looks like the Passat is das beste in class, maybe even too good for its class. I wonder what can the Vorsprung durch technik guys bring to the table with the new A4 to mentain its premium status...
Vladimir Teleoaca True, for now, there is no reason to buy an A4 at all, everyone partly sane would go for the new Passat.
For the same price as Audi a4 you can buy cc which is superior in every way
9:20 "That was already the big... fart!"
Germany is gods gift to humanity.
Mr Zamani hahah thanks =)
digital cockpit will come only with most expensive version of Passat
Mr11ESSE111 Indeed it is optional and only serial in higher trim levels
***** i know!! But it is shame that WV Passat cant or dont want put digital display in basic version or medium at least while IOpel Insignia have that display on basic model and she is 15% cheaper or more
Mr11ESSE111 The Insignia uses a very different technique dude.. I don't think you can see your navigation, call list, etc, on the Opel display..
i24kilzz i know, but price difference is about 3000-5000 euro between Insignia and Passat and they (WV) could fit that into passat !!
In Spain, we have 3 models: Edition, Advance and Sport. Only in the Sport model, both gasoline and diesel, is standard on Diigital Cockpit. The Sport model also brings rim 18", the other models rim 17". The sport has a cost of € 31,250 - $ 39,688 without extras.
Thanks for the video. Can you also inform us of the german version ?
Card Business Hi, unfortunately we do not have a German version of every video, we do not have the time to always produce both. If there is a German version available, it is always linked in the video description.
O.K. thanks for the reply.
Mine is a 2015 Passat mine doesn’t show navigation as a option
Outside Looks like the previous generation A6.
At last, a cool-looking Passat. Too bad that the price was also raised with this new model :( Premium costs....
TheLMMish Indeed, looks cool - but maybe others like the Ford Mondeo will take the positioning below that. Same to the Volkswagen corporations models among Skoda Octavia and Seat Leon ST - that's why its a clever step to make it more premium.
***** Good point.
Ford Mondeo is £7,000 cheaper than the new Passat, it's hard to believe, but I would rather have the Passat.
