  • Ukrainian Feminist Kitchen is a crafting & discussion online event by Feminist Workshop.
During this event feminist activists from England and Ukraine explored the situation with democracy on the European political scene, effect of war on women’s rights in Ukraine and the role of trade unions in solidarity with Ukraine.
    Our speakers were:
    - Vicky Blake, an activist in the University and College Union at Leeds University, UCU branch’s Honorary Secretary and member of the committee of the Abortion Rights campaign (UK)
    - Julie Ward, an activist and member of the national USC committee, and former Labour Party Member of the European Parliament (UK)
    - Oksana Dutchak, researcher, Marxist feminist, co-editor of the online journal Spilne/Commons (Ukraine)
We also learned some of traditional Easter rituals in Ukraine with an artist Viktoriia Cherniakhivska, who made a collage of willow seals drawn and cut out of paper by participants during the conversation. You can see collage at the end of the video.
Event was moderated by Marija Jakovljević, feminist activist, member of the Torchlight collective and Multitudes Foundation Connector for Serbia.
