Hi, how did you know the ballast needed replacing? i have a x500r and the picture is extremely dim and unwatchable for me. I got it used so not sure if its normal or not or if it needs a new bulb. Timer of the x500r says 100 hours though
What kind of error did you get? How did you reach the conclusion that the ballast is bad? I would appreciate your help. I have one, with Standby & Warning LED solid red and the lamp is blinking orange.
Excellent video. Replaced my ballast today...took about the same time. Thanks for sharing! Cheers
You can remove the ballast with only removing the main board. No need to remove those smaller ones.
Hi. could you post the same video without the acceleration? I'm a beginner and I'm having a little trouble finishing the reassembly of mine. 😅
Hi, just seeing this now. I hope you got it back together again.

New bulb, Definitely. Timer been rest without new lamp!
The way the image went out was in line with descriptions on projectorCentral.

I’m in the same boat. Did you ever get an answer to your problem?
Terrible product design putting the ballast under all those main PCBs. I thought the Japanese were clever.
