Love how they mention the battle of carrizal but don't talk about the Americans getting spanked by carranza's men or that over 20 US soldiers were taken captive during this battle.

Want to talk force levels and casualties incurred? Or the fact that US forces were told to avoid contact with Carrancista forces?

@@bdinaz 12 American dead and 24 taken prisoner. 20 Mexicans dead. And the US opened fire first and were driven back.

@@josejonhson674 historical accounts and after action reports state the following.
Following a conference between the us troop commander and mexican commander of the federal troops, the us commander indicated they were going to pass through the area and continue searching for the Villistas. The mexican commander agreed to allow the us forces to proceed in a column of fours formation. But the us cooander sensed an ambush was imminent and moved in a less risky formation towards the town.
A us troop of cavalry, approximately 50 cavalry troopers were moving past Mexican Federal forces in a formation known as a line of foragers.
Arrayed along an irrigation ditch were approximately 450 Carrancista Federal troops who the US forces had orders to not engage as the Wilson administration recognized them as the legitimate government of Mexico.
Mounted Mexican forces then began to ride forward in an effort to flank the us troops in what is known as a double envelopment.
Being about 200 yards from the irrigation canal, the mexican infantry began firing on the us forces, which promptly dropped to the prone position and began returning fire.
Being heavily outnumbered, losing both the company commander and LT Adair the XO. and having had their horses stampede by the firing of a pair of machine guns, the us forces began to withdraw as best the could.
Final toll for both sides are as follows.
      Us kia 12
      Us wia 10
      Us pow. 23.
      Carrancista losses are as follows:
      45 kia
      53 win.
Included in the Mexican losses was General Felix u gomez who was in command of the mexican federal force who was killed.
      This is what happened.

@@bdinaz lol American version always has inflated kills compared to their loses. Like when they claimed 200 men killed 1200 Mexican soldiers in the Alamo. There is no exact number on Mexico casualties but it's around 20 maybe 30 tops. The US side also lost their commanding officers which caused the US soldiers to break formation and retreat. Those who could not escape were captured and later taken to the border.

@@josejonhson674 concur that the US forces sensing they were being over whelmed beat a retreat, but contemporaneous accounts do not characterize it as "breaking . And those soldiers captured were the ones dismounted during the stampede of their mounts causes by the startling sudden firing of the machine guns from a hidden position.
Regarding the Mexican casualties at the alamo, contemporaneous accounts list at a minimum of 500 mexican kia and perbaps a maximum of 1200. Sadly there has never been big interest in Mexican Military circles to record thorough after action reports post battle. It is not part of the culture.
What can be said was Santa Ana's staff considered it as a pyrrhic victory with one going so far to remark that "one more such victory would be the undoing of them all."
Little was written by those staff members because shortly there after they were defacto wiped out at San Jacinto which eliminated the possibility of their memoirs.
Regardless, culturally Mexico prefers a good story to an accurate one. Hence all the apocryphal stories recited as gospel regarding pancho and all of his supposed feats.

4:30 rofl ? No shame at all, showing a German junk prototype like if it was their last wing plane and then jump to the 1950 US version of the Horten Ho 229 and make it appear like if it was a 100% US research & development...🤨
