2 recipes in one, fantastic! I have made this exact recipe in the past as well as with mushroom and white wine risotto and I thought I had made arancini! Was I wrong? If not, are suppli and arancini exactly the same thing?
Well there are many difference between arancini and suppli but to make it short there are two main difference: 1 in arancini the rice is boiled then you add saffron and other ingredients, in suppli you are cooking rice like for a risotto. 2 The inside of arancini is ragu and peas with a little piece of mozzarella, in the suppli instead there is no meat but only tomato sauce and mozzarella Obviously i'm talking of traditional recipes but there are recipe of sweet arancini with pistachio or suppli cacio & pepe too ^_^
