I took my Shahada July 14th in private, just me and Allah. ❤ I have the urge to pray but I do not know any Arabic. I find myself confused, overwhelmed and I also battle imposter syndrome. I will be saving this but I am not really ready to do it in Arabic. I’d love to know the English translation first to understand and really connect to what I am saying. Thank you so much 😊

I learned that during sujood and after saying how perfect is my lord the most high that we can then ask Allah for what we want or thank him or pour our heart out to him. Also are we not to say Allahuakbar after reading surah Iklas and going into the first rakat? Is this for men or for women. I don`t see a lot of women teaching how to pray but this video made me understand more and its simple thank youu

In sujud is it okay if while my forehead and nose are touching the ground, I'm sitting on my legs? Not with my backside up but resting on my heels? I'm super flexible and this way I find it easier 😅

This is different from the way I’ve learned to pray. When I said my shahada I got a book from our mosk, how do you know which is the right way to perform salah? ❤️
From what I’ve learned people pray differently but it doesn’t matter so long as the pillars of the salah is there. In Islam people follow different schools of thought but as long as we follow the basic principles in prayer, it’s fine so just do what’s easiest for you ultimately as long as those pillars of the salah is there, you’re good. Allah knows best

SalamAlaykum sister. This wasn’t a question for me but just wanted to answer. Just as you mentioned, it’s sunnah and not a mandatory pillar of the prayer. Saying it is good but omitting it will not void your prayer. When I learned to pray as a kid, i wasn’t taught it. I recently learned this dua a couple of years ago when I wanted to learn how the prophet saw prayed.
I feel like sitting like that is so hard for me. It hurts & uncomfortable idk if I’m doing it right.
hey love my question was how many rakats did you pray here and is it the same for every pray such as fajr dhur etc, just the intention is different for example before u start ur niyat is 2 rakat fajr prayer
As salaamu laikum sister. I have a question to ask you. When you’re a beginner how can u pray if you do not memorize or understand. Can I use a notebook with the words on them until I do or can I listen to a tape of them reciting? I feel discouraged because I am not fluent in my prayer. May Allah guide me and help me pray properly. Insha’Allah
Last year, I participated in Ramadan ... and listened to the prayers in Arabic. I couldn't say them, so I listened. My brother fowarded me all 5 prayers. There is a man demonstrating and saying the prayers super slow. It helped. This year, I did better. But I think Zhur, Asr and Maghrib are prayed silently ... so that helps a bit. (I still try to say it along).

They are except that women will keep their body closer together for the sake of hayyah.
I made my Shabada 10 years ago. However, I'm 83 and simply unable to do these poses. I'm sure Allah didn't create Islam just for young. Healthy people, so what to do,? Also I don't speak Arabic.

Very difficult . I want to be a good Muslim but I don't understand , Arabic . Then they say if you make a mistake your prayer will not be accepted . It is so difficult . I don't have transport to get to a mosque so someone can teach me . I am 72 years old in may the 1st 2024 . And the video that they make to teach people , they talk so fast .
So long as you genuinely try to better yourself and learn about our creator, Allah is most merciful and understanding.
