@@richardwallace2458 Yeah his mum is Irish and his grand parents on his dad's side are Irish too. He spent a lot of time with family in Ireland growing up.
I love MMM it’s probably my favourite ever comedy, but I think that it’s so perfect as it is that it should probably just be left alone. I love Partridge though and I’d love to see more Scissored Isle type shows with him.
It's a small world, not in the sense you ever meet anybody you know, but in the sense mighty England still desires the conquership of all Ireland, that dishpan country that was abandoned by the Celts after the invasion of Saint Patrick for England. And even England's not mighty anymore, everything's small, even desires have turned into small, undesirable little things.
:) it makes me feel good to realise if I were ten years younger I'd find this abrasively poor taste. I've grown into nuanced comedy! I get the jokes! (Well, some of them)
Alan Partridge writing fan fiction about the royal family is just perfect.
"Tranquilized by her face" is up there with "The Very Best of Partridge"

You miss your mother don’t you?
Every hour

Sideshow Simon's timing is perfect. He is everyman with Alan.
"god willing the whole of Ireland". Really...this is way off the mark even for comedy scripts. Im outraged. Im also fkg loving it.
Coogan really knows his Irish history and works it in brilliantly.
Horses running through council estates. Simpletons with eyebrows on their cheeks...deres more to oiland dan dis.

@@iorekby Thanks for that. Goes some way to explaining why he's so bloody funny.
Exactly. And speaking as an Irishman (though not in the least a nationalistic one), it is bloody hilarious.
MMM is peak Partridge.
We know! We bloody know!
Alan needs to write episodes of the Crown.
Partridge perfection.
God no we don’t wanna go through all that again..

it's difficult not to be tranquilised by... her face.
Special Kate.
They used to make it out of whale meat back in the 60s

@@raeburn1277 I'll buy series 1 and 2 off TH-cam
Had no idea Mid Morning Matters was on that long ago. Only able to watch clips so i thought they were semi-recent.
"I'm sure he gets through a lot of paste"
"Here's the theme from Blue Peter"
How do I watch the full episode?
Almost as good as Tim Key's royal poem.
Maybe even better
"I disagree.... Bye"
Ah ha!

Was this a deleted scene?
Harry and Meghan ... My favourite couple
