I actually loved the lyrics, I think the rhythmic placement was a little goofy. Then again, I didn’t put in an entry like I intended, so I can’t really criticize. Otherwise, I loved, kind of reminded me of Flaming Lips.

Oh extremely. Fitting your thoughts into rhymes and meters and time requires a lot of editing and a very artistic mindset.
@@akshayde Not only that, but choice of words matter. Using generic words and cliched rhymes and phrases can really bring down what would be a good song. If your song is telling a story, try to make sure you can visualize some aspects of it simply through some adjectives and clever metaphors. Good writers show you, they don't tell you, and it makes all the difference.

Just a side note: this competition led me to break out of a slump and get back into mixing and songwriting. The mix is not great on the entry I sent in, but was in many ways “better” than my older ones. If anyone here has heard my songs from Treys livestream “Trauma Bond” or “Party!” - those songs may not have existed if not for this competition. If you ever need to break out of a slump, try just being goofy and not worrying too much about the “rules”. Thank you Trey and everyone again for listening and (hopefully) enjoying!

Hey Trey!! Thanks for feedback!! I’ll take that into consideration before I do anything else with it. I sing with a slight southern drawl so I’ve been told before that I occasionally have some misheard lyrics in my songs lol. I also like to classify myself as a blues guitarist playing metal. So my solos are not as intricate as the metal of today.

I hope you realize that having a track as private on SoundCloud, you can still send it to people who do or do not have SoundCloud and they will be able to listen to it. The reason why these aren’t coming up is because the song was deleted. People probably don’t realize that when you make an edit to a track and the previous version is on SoundCloud, you can *replace the file* instead of deleting the old one and uploading the new one. That doesn’t keep the original link. Replacing the old file with the new one *does.*
