Vintage Otis Black Button Elevator at 301 W 4th Street, Royal Oak MI

2 Black Buttons in a row! Here's another vintage Otis elevator in downtown Royal Oak. Unlike the one at Main Professional Building, this was installed many years later in the late 60s. This is a pretty unique setup with the custom mental number above the landing doors on each floor. The call buttons are also very unique and they may be a rare form of vandal resistant produced by Otis. (Not 100% confirmed though). Strangely enough, this elevator doesn't serve the lower level but only the 1st, 3rd, and 4th floors. Overall this elevator is incredible, and it's in amazing shape for it's age. Like the other one, if this is properly maintained, it'll continue to run for many years to come.
