Throughout this whole concert you'll notice Jack giving Meg tempo cues with the neck of his guitar. It's like he's keeping the train on the track....with Animal from the Muppets as the engineer. Amazing 👏
Never heard this tune or of this band but he sure makes that guitar do some serious wailing, the tone he has is unbeatable, excellent playing and sound.
Good news is that he's got a sizeable discography built up among his multiple projects and it's full of some of those rare and timeless and amazing 'holy shite' type of music that definitely makes my short list, the kind of stuff that you hear once and you end up being able to carry it with you forever. So yeah I think you've got a very high percentage of a great rabbit hole of discovery in your near future ✌️
Ive heard people say things about guitarists like “its like the guitar is an exstention of his mind/body” and ive never seen or felt that like i do when seeing jack and meg perfom
I love the music these 2 make together. Beside every good man is a good woman they just compliment each other so nicely.❤❤ And don't you mind people grinning in your face. ❤
As a musician for sixty years, I can tell you that the ''famous bands'' are mostly those who got the backing of corporations led by people who couldn't recognize real music if their lives depended on it.
Wow. He gets a hell of a sound out of that thing. I wonder what he's using. Anyone know what distortion pedal and/or amp he's using here? I was never a huge fan but this song rips.
@@pogomole I guess he does but no Fender amp could be solely responsible for that sound. I'm not exactly sure what he's doing and when but it seems to really take off at about 3:50. I'm guessing that's when he hits the fuzz box or whatever it is. Thanks though.
It's an old 50's kay archtop, the front just so happens to be covered in old brown wrapping paper. He almost always used fender twins and old Silvertone tube heads. The distortion comes from an old American style electro harmonix big Muff. The digitech whammy is also all over that solo.
Hey Myron it's Eric I just don't understand the words between the lines u know? There's no key4code nolegend4mapnorudderforthisboatcantctheforest4thetrees.
We weren’t ready for the Stripes. This is too good ⚡️⚡️⚡️
One of the best live performances by a solo guitarist I've ever seen in the last forty years

She's doing her best and supporting her friend.
It is quite impressive. Tempo changes aren't something a lot of musicians are comfortable with.

Blues + Early-mid 90s rock
Powerful sheat
I have been continually impressed with his evolution as an artist, and good for him. However, this is peak Jack White, for me thus far.

I believe it is modified Martin, his trick is he has a set of pedals that changes the octave range of the guitar, built it all himself
He has two Fender Twin tube amps plainly visible right there on stage with him. 0:24
