A Chinese kid from my high school also has a vlog channel (also in perfect English) with low engagement and barely any views. Just my two cents but likely the vlog genre is oversaturated and/or doesn’t work as well with the new algorithm that favours outrageous content, clickbait, and obnoxious and misleading thumbnails.
