Yes! Using just enough heat to melt it is ideal as far as I’m concerned!

karrezza I didn’t have any cheesecloth so I used what I had!
You're heating it way too fast, that's why it keeps catching on fire. Move it away from the fire a bit and let it heat slowly, indirectly.

karrezza its charcoal and the fiber is from a palm tree, but you can use dried grass or even rabbit or deer pellets!
