Both are fantastic. I totally agree with your points. The base and the water effect of the XM's Weapon X making the difference for me but i prefer the size of the custom even if it's not comic accurate.
My favorite character since I could remember. Wolverine is a character marvel has been making money off of since the 80s into the 90s and has always been a fan favorite. I would take either one of these and be happy. The XM studios is probably the one you can find and afford but having the other one is a privilege. 50 in total and you have 1 of them. Take care of them and you will be happy with witch-ever one you keep.
Bringing out the big guns here! Major nostalgia for me on weapon X for sure. Something about all the tech and the helmet (which again I am real big fan of these sculpts/designs) just make him almost look other-worldly.

I gotta go with the custom. The ferocity, the pose, everything represents wolverine when he was in this primal angered state.

I like how the skin on the custom one really makes him look cold
The base was the only winner on my initial look but that wet look and value changed the game. Really makes you appreciate these comparison videos because I was 100% for the custom until the end.
I like how the custom wolverine have that purple color tint on his skin to show how the cold affected him
They are both awesome but I like the one to your left with the snow base
So awesome! I'd definitely love to see them in person, except they'll probably poke my eyes out from those claws, definitely menacing 😂

I just bought the xm and put it together last night. the anatomy is really well done. the wet effect is great. it really does look like he just busted out the tube and is covered with fluid. the only problem with the xm is if he did just break out the would glass everywhere around the base.the custom is cool but im biased because i own the xm
For an older piece the XM piece is really good. And Daniel Bel has gotten even better since then.
All your points were spot on, and your choice is very well justified. I think I just like the pose better on the custom. If you could have an amalgamation of taking the wolverine off the custom base and putting it on the XM base it would be a complete knockout.

Not right now. I have a lot of wolverine similar pieces. I am keeping the like ones in different locations.

Mr. X, you’re correct that these are both fantastic statues. I have the XM version and I love it. The sculpt, the water effect on his skin, the cool helmet (which could’ve had a better light-up feature, no doubt) and the pose are all great. Both Weapon-X statues look like they’re gonna’ whip the crap out of someone, which is perfect........unless YOU’RE that someone! 🤕. It’s been a while since you did an Xtrumble where statues were so similarly matched. I agree that the value is the key. 3 times more for the custom statue is a hard sell since the XM Studios version is so cool. Thanks for another great video!

Voting for the custom. I prefer its pose, textures, base, and its rage/story looks more organic.

There are so many Wolverine statues and these are excellent,🤘 the base is cool on both and combining that with the pose brings life to both statues. In the end if I had to pick one over the other, I'd go with the custom, there is just something about his sculpt and paint that just makes me cold and terrified😃 Freaking awesome statues😎🙌
Both amazing. I might like the custom a bit more because it's base is more compatible with my other statues. But then price would push me back to the XM version.

Don't have a Weapon X piece yet but always considered the XM, however I think I prefer the custom.

I just can't choose, they're both so awesome.
Both great pieces but I have to say I prefer the XM piece mainly just for the pose because they are both so close to each other.
I like the screens on the XM piece but i haven't seen it in person.
I like the snow one better. Never could understand him having on all the gear within the tub filled with whatever it was filled with.
The over all winner is you pimp ya own them both . Very cool video XM has my vote but both are incredible 🤷🏽♂️.
The custom draws my eyes immediately. The xm looks jaundiced, and sort of frail- though that makes sense thematically. Would come down to price.
The custom looks slightly larger so I don't know which is more accurate size wise compared to other 1/4 scale pieces. I would give the win to XM not only for price but also for the laboratory base and the water effect. GOD Bless You and the X-Fam as always Brother!
It’s weapon X vs mr.X vs weapon X which X will win
For me the custom wins. Although the XM is still a bad ass piece the custom has more presence and looks a bit more jacked which i like in my wolverine statues.

I'm pretty sure I commented on this video but I will do it again the custom piece does have higher details I like a little bit better but the XM water effect is awesome it looks amazing so really hard decision on these statues

To me the custom piece is superior and there's only 70 making it feel more special, both spectacular statues either way
Overall I prefer the XM, more unique in a sea of similar Wolverine statues,
Hate the ball chin on the custom but do like the pose, custom one looks like a larger scale or maybe the XM one is a little undersized

Unfortunately, I don't really care for either piece but if pushed I'd go for the XM Weapon X statue. The snow base is a total snore and 70 off for a 'fan art' custom piece is absolutely taking the piss! These are made by 'criminals' exploiting the hard work and costs of the legit companies, you'd be pretty miffed if your business was being ripped off! If custom producers gave a damn about fan art, they'd produce a handful of statues of characters that the major players don't make rather than chasing a slice of the legit pie and 'copying' existing pieces. Also, there's no need for custom's to be expensive as they haven't had to pay for the licence or go through the stringent RnD process. As Mr Lydon said; 'ever get the feeling you've been cheated'. That custom one is my favorite. I feel like the snow base is much better and harder to make look good. That pose also with the crossed arms is amazing!

I kind of thought you were going to pick the custom. I do like both bases and they each tell their own story like you said but for me if money wasn't a factor I'm kind of swinging towards the custom. In the video I think the snow looks really good and I just like the pose on the custom a little better and the light-up feature is definitely better than the XM.
I've always liked XM's Weapon X
LL is newer,that's why it takes the cake imo. But value as you said is a deciding factor i guess. However the first LL Weapon X would crush both of these imo.
Custom would be my pick. Question, is the camera perspective of the 2 statues skewed? The custom looks much larger than the XM.
I would say it's about 10% bigger

There's definitely urine at the bottom of the XM statue. Being encased in it, when ya gotta go, ya gotta go. No yellow snow with the custom, so I'm going with that.
Personally, it’s hard for me to say which one is better when I only own the XM one. But the custom one is just too damn expensive, especially for a character that keeps being done year after year. Even though he looks great (on video), he won’t be the definitive Wolverine forever. But as long as you’re happy with it, that’s all that counts. If it’s as great as you say, I could also see myself keeping both.
If money isn't a question then I much prefer the custom. Feel like the XM is starting to show its age.
Can't go wrong with either tho, and at a fraction of the price, you're probably right. There's not enough of a difference.

Immediately I like the XM more just because he literally just busted out of his capsule, he's not just randomly standing in the snow.
Both are really nice far as price xm wins the custom is good but not enough to pay more and get little more for the money
